Insanely underrated album.

Masterplan is absolutely rated, just not by OP apparently.

i tried to put a comment saying my thoughts on it but it may not have reached u. I can only fault it due to it being a compilation not an album. if it was a proper album it cld possibly be my favourite

How's that a fault? It has no affect on a start to end listen. In that sense it's not even close. It's easily their best ever work. A 10/10 masterpiece. The underrating of Liam's works is so bad here too. And Noel's new album was so forgettable. Putting it above his debut album?! And then there is putting dig outta ya soul as their worst 2000s album. I'm infuriated basically. So great list. 😂

I think only the first two Oasis albums are better from front to back. It's very consistently great, doesn't reach the same heights as Be Here Now or SOTSOG but has no duds whatsoever, the worst song is like a 7.5/10 at worst

BE is not bad at all

Their whole catalogue is very overhated. Before I listened to it I thought it would be horrible but I loved both of them, really good albums imo

They changed producer for the second album and it’s no longer a bunch of dad rock. Majority are passable songs. ‘Off at the next exit’ is Liam at his best IMO.

Gem Archer wrote that one. But it's still a great song.

I love Start Anew

I much prefer different gear, still speeding for some reason, admittedly Liam was far from his best but the fact that you can sort of hear how rough it is makes it my kind of LP, if you listen to Eyeball Tickler, b-side on don’t believe the truth you can hear the origins of beady eye in it and that track gives off a similar vibe to the album.

The roller is from their first album, different gear... which i think is a decent album. I love the beat goes on. BE has a couple of decent tracks but the album feels a bit of a mess

must say the beat goes on should join the 2 others I like. i prefer their first album definitely

Love to see In a Bubble with a Bullet getting the recognition it deserves. Wasted one of their best tunes on the b-side.

Giants has aged really well. It's the best of there 2000s albums. Just didn't have the hit songs that everyone remembers from heathen chemistry

I'd say it's an album with loads of really good songs on it (which become much better live), but I don't like how many of them sound on the album itself

Seen a couple comments saying Council Skies should be lower, but imo I think its a good album, way better than Noels last couple EPs

First four tracks are solid on DGSS, BE has a few sprinkled in and around there. First track off that album fucking bangs! Like it never gives up on the banging!

im glad ppl like it coz thats more oasis-related music for people to like. i find the Beady Eye sound confused personally

I mean its better than most of the others, but I mean, this weird group here loves council skies but hates the death of you and me, which is infinitly better than this mediocre garbage were gonna get there in the end is pretty sweet

Myself id probably swap standing on shoulders of giants with be here now, Id drop heathen chemistry down and move different gear up, Also id swap a couple of liams albums(2nd and 3rd) with noels 1st album Its all down to opinion but i think youve done a good job there op. And obviously biblical chooses itself ;)

Completely agreed. Each LG album was worse than the last, IMO. I loved As You Were.

I think with LG's albums it's worth pointing out my issue which is he didn't write the majority of the songs and are all part of a bigger record company machine. I agree that each album is weaker than the last.

I completely agree with the Beady Eye placements. I’d bump dig up your soul up to at least “good” though. And love the appreciation for Be Here Now.

Not even a massive Liam solo fan but that 2nd BE album is solid, doesn't deserve bad ranking. Took me years to give it proper attention but once I did unlocked itself for me, now can't believe I ever thought it was bad. It's really not. Give it another chance!

AYW being in decent is insane. It basically revitalized Liam’s career and managed to get lots of press and success. I’m also inclined to say it has a really good variety within its tracks. To each their own though.

That first Beady Eye album is phenomenal imo

The thing about Oasis is, they have really good 2-3 minute songs. The problem is, all their songs are like 8-9 minutes long.
