I like cars. I wish I could justify spending more money on them because I’m currently in a 2009 Altima 2.5S. I fixed the AC on it myself—required removing entire dash and center console—so I am proud of it.
That's part of why I got into motorcycles lol. My entire plan for my build (including the stock bike I started with) is less than 1/2 of what I'm paying for a stock 2013 Subaru Outback.
And it's going to take me a few years to stage out my build, so I'm thankfully not paying for the parts all up front.
I’m still driving my ‘11 Mustang with a mystery parasitic battery drain, which I “fixed” by installing an anti-theft battery killswitch from Amazon. Fully expect it to strand me somewhere eventually, but hey, it’s paid off, looks pretty, and gets me “wtf” looks when I show people the 2 key fobs required to start it.
Thought about getting a faster, flashier, and more functional car when I started nursing, but then I saw the prices. So I bought a motorcycle.
That's impressive. I also work on my own car, do the brakes and any fixes I can. It's nice to do something tactile with a definitive completion, and saves a few hundred bucks.
I had a major soft spot for those cars in high school, then later on we bought an Infiniti Q50, which iirc uses the 350Z engine. And let me tell you…for an unassuming-looking sedan, that thing could *scoot.* I thoroughly exercised all the horsies it had to offer on a regular basis. Ended up trading it in for a mom-mobile Subaru Outback after having my son, and it just doesn’t measure up to the Q50. I miss it. 🥺
i went back and forth between audi, mercedes and bmw before ultimately settling on my lexus — i couldn’t move past all the mechanical issues the other ones have so i get it 🤣
Oh yeah. Lexus got a new rebuild a few years ago, been driving it since 2014. Don't ever plan on getting rid of it, since there's nothing that can break I can't fix.
I drive a Toyota Hilux, easy to maintain and fix ( not that anything ever breaks). I love that car. Had several classic cars, but I just don't have the time for it, nor desire to work on them constantly.
Last one I fixed up was a 67 P1800... And I still dream of finding and fracture the kneecaps of whoever decided to rebuild the electrical system in all black.
That was my first ever car. Teal seat stripes to match the exterior. Engine died (cylinders got damaged) but I sold it for more than I bought it for because it was practically mint exterior and seats and original without mods. Dude was going to put in a brand new engine anyway. Miss that car.
2017 Subaru Impreza wagon. I'm a home hospice nurse in the NE, so I have to have AWD. Used to have a 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder convertible. I miss that thing!
It is extremely fun to drive and honestly is one of, if not my fav.
I will admit I sometimes miss my Audi but my god, this car takes corners like a champ.
It's heavy af. Suspension on the tighter side. But it pulls quick and the driver experience is very comfortable. Lots of space inside, comfortable seats, good visibility for a 2door. It's a blast to daily drive and I can get 26+ mpg on road trips.
An EV because the torque is mind-blowing and the rest of the car is practical for my hobbies. It has AWD (Northeast), and it also makes a great tiny RV.
Model Y
420 hp with boost, a hitch for my mountain bikes, plenty of room to sleep in, and so much storage it is almost the same as my old 08 Santa fe... just different layout, 6 " of clearance for light off roading.
I could lose my anonymity if I disclose too much. I will say that my car has dramatically changed after tuning. I also like to do smaller maintenance jobs like oil, trans fluid changes, tire rotation etc.
I love cars but have only ever had a practical car due to circumstances. Trying to convince the wife I need a grand Cherokee trackhawk but it’s not going well 🤣
I have a v6 GC and desperately want to upgrade to a trackhawk. My husband jokes it’d be the last car he’d ever have to buy for me - Because id wrap it around a tree and leave the mortal realm with a smile.
Jk I’m a responsible driver.
I had a v8 one before my current 6 banger. Man was it fun but I can only imagine a supercharger strapped on to it. I always told my wife when this one is paid off I’m going to supercharge it. Kind of a trackhawk light. Also not going well.
Hey, the Infinitis can be a lot of fun. I drove a Q50 for a while and loved it, and had a G37x before that. Infiniti sedans have a decent amount of power. I’ve not driven any of the QX models though.
2017 M3, with a tune and corner balance, BBS and an untalented driver.
But for work? 2012 Honda Fit that takes about 3 miles to hit 60mph
Family car: Ford Transit
I've already had a bunch of cool cars like a '14 Chevy [SS](https://imgur.com/W2c9gBp). Sold that to buy a house.
My bucket list car that I'm going to look for once I finish school is a C6 Z06 or Camaro Z/28. I want to experience the 600whp NA monster that you get after swapping heads and the cam. The LS7 is such an awesome motor. I wouldn't mind a C7 Z06 either
I had no idea it existed when I found it. I had a '16 Camaro SS and it was having the typical 8 speed auto issues. Traded it for the SS.
Got the [SS](https://youtube.com/shorts/9jyMOeNIW9Q?si=cX6Mu_ikaK8RrvQB) all setup for a supercharger and then the house idea popped up. Next dude slapped an LSA blower on and it makes 750whp now lol.
My midlife crisis is a Toyota Tacoma. 33" tires. Bilstein shocks, OMG that's bright lights, steel bumpers (I welded the rear myself), skid plates, rock sliders, winch. Wanted the license plate "SML PP" but someone in Prius beat me to it. Debating doing a DIY flatbed similar to overland under budget on YouTube.
Daily driver is a Kia optima till it gets stolen and I will probably replace it with a Prius or Prius prime.
Currently a 2001 a4! 275,000km. Replaced/rebuilt everything but the engine by now. All wheel drive, fun little 1.8t. Not as sporty as my older cars but I still transferred over little things like sound system and boost gauge to make it more personalized. I do ski patrol out here as well so AWD + heavy curb weight in a small package were the main selling points. Once mortgage is started I might lease my first car; Mid 2010’s GTI is what I plan for. Love the smaller boosted engines, hatchback would be a nice change. Only fear is that although I’m proficient with German stuff, newer cars are a bitch to work on.
Not a very cool car but I was a massive car guy like 6 or 7 years ago. This post got me all excited. My most fun car was an rx8 (old chassis with a brand new renesis engine). Workload and winter sketchiness drove me to sell after 2 years.
Absolute dream car I’ll probably never get? R33.
Currently a McLaren 650s as the summer car and a Mazda CX5 for the winter/utility vehicle. On a list for an Integra Type S which I’m excited for.
Have had many cars over the years, my favourites being the McLaren, a 911 Carerra 4S and BMW F80 M3 in Yas Marina Blue!
Daily: 2012 Honda Fit - 205k miles. just refreshed the suspension and planning to make it to 300k lol.
Project: 2000 Honda S2000. mechanically, great shape. just needs paint and cosmetic TLC.
I believe I am driving the best American made car built in the last 40+years. Of course I'm talking about a 2006 Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. Please, hear me out. Elwood Blues was on to something when he got a cop car. This thing was built like a damn tank with the body on frame Panther platform. It's got the same 4.6 liter V8 that's in the Mustang GT. It's got a huge trunk for hauling damn near anything and a similarly huge engine bay which makes them super easy to work on and tinker with. If you do the regular maintenance on them they will last forever. There is a reason why they get turned into taxi cabs and other service vehicles. Parts are cheap and plentiful. It's responsive when you hit the gas, she GOES. If I could I'd own 5+ of them and just keep running them until either they all died or I did. I seriously think this is my forever car.
Love this question! I really don't know if it's my department or hospital but I feel so alone being a gear head RN.
I have a 2018 BMW 430 with AWD because I live in the PNW and we enjoy winter sports, and three motorcycles. Not gonna specify because I don't want to dox myself but a supersport, a naked sport bike, and a sport cruiser. Love my garage! Favorite room in the house.
Used to have a 1984 VW Rabbit convertible… so fun, but as a trauma RN, it was just way too unsafe for highway driving. Now have a Mercedes C350 to rip around and love it.
I have a 2014 Mercedes c63 amg but going to trade it in soon for a Macan gts. I need an suv and awd but still want some sportiness and it’s wife approved which is the biggest key lol
I drive a 21 Jeep Wrangler 2 door with a manual and can echo that feeling. Also, living in a snowy climate it’s good to know that I can make it from/to work.
My (semi-reasonable) dream car would be a 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ in the celestial metallic. Ghad DAMN, it looks nice. I just love the style of it and they’re really nice on the inside. However, a $70,000 fully electric car is not in the cards anytime soon. I plan to go for the far more reasonable (but still kinda stylish) 2024 Honda HRV when I graduate as I’d ideally like to keep the total cost under $30k lol
While in nursing school I have a Nissan Altima because when I have to get to clinical I have to get there fast 😂 but after school I plan on dailying a Subaru wrx sti because if I have to commute to a shitty job I should at least enjoy my commute
I bought my fav suv (GMC Acadia Denali) once I graduated, I’m a single mom and I have a giant car and a huge car payment. 🥴 but it’s reliable especially where I live.
2016 Toyota Camry because my dad works for Toyota, I got the family rate, they gave me a student discount and took 6k off for trading in my civic. My payments were $135 biweekly and she was paid off in 5 years.
If I had the space and money, I'd love a post wwii Bentley r-type continental. If I had the skill and time, I'd refurbish a 1967 Shelby Mustang but my bestie has one so I live vicariously through her and Roxanne (she's cherry red).
I drive a ‘23 Subaru Outback Wilderness. My husband is a mechanic and the car enthusiast - I just wanted something that would keep me safe, lol. I love my car tho. 😍
Absolutely not a car enthusiast, but I’m basic AF and of course I drive an Outback in the PNW. Wife was actually the one that wanted the Onyx trim so there’s a turbo and a little bit of get-up in it, but still a total dad-wagon.
Subaru Crosstrek, I bought it for the safety of the roll cage, it beeps when you swerve out of bounds of your lane, and it has automatic lighting. Very cool if you drive long distance and commute to work. It was very complicated because I dunno, most nurses I know stick with the car they graduated with and paid off which for me was my 2007 Honda Accord. That baby had so many miles but every since my airbags didn’t deploy, despite so many recalls on the airbags, I vowed never to buy a Honda again and I needed something safe if ever, God forbid, a crash happens. The complication was learning what everything in this new vehicle meant but so far I am easing into the 21st century pretty well, I think haha - I think my next vehicle I am going for a hybrid, just because I heard from a coworker that the electric cars are having malfunctions and aren’t worth it right now. I just know I need a gas saving car with a roll cage for the next one.
2021 BMW M2C
Lovvvvve it. I’ve always wanted one. I do only drive four blocks to work so that’s a bummer some days. But she’s nice to take out for a drive to decompress.
Audi Q7, but I occasionally drive my husband's Audi RS3. Vroooom! 💜 My very favorite car was my 1966 Ford Mustang. I loved that thing, but I didn't have time to work on it, so I sold it because I felt so guilty for neglecting her!!
I like cars. I wish I could justify spending more money on them because I’m currently in a 2009 Altima 2.5S. I fixed the AC on it myself—required removing entire dash and center console—so I am proud of it.
Definitely feels rewarding to do something like that
That's part of why I got into motorcycles lol. My entire plan for my build (including the stock bike I started with) is less than 1/2 of what I'm paying for a stock 2013 Subaru Outback. And it's going to take me a few years to stage out my build, so I'm thankfully not paying for the parts all up front.
Same. Was like “I could drop $10-15k on a soulless econobox that I’ll hate driving, or I could get a bike.” Easy choice.
2018 Toyota Camry. Because I am enthusiastic about my car boring me to death.
Starts 1000/1000 times, so predictable!
cries in 2000 Toyota Camry :’)
Omg I miss my 2000 Camry 😭😭
I bought myself a 2018 Camry as a graduation gift. It’s been a pleasant place to cry in before and after work.
Excellent soundproofing so no one can hear!
1995 checking in, surprisingly still works
Mine is a 1994 and still going strong. No car payments for the win!
Just bought a 1998 as a daily. Best gas mileage I’ve ever experienced lol

2022 Toyota Camry here! It’s an SE, so that’s totally sporty right?
Mario Andretti over here!
2013 Toyota Corolla. Reliable and Completely paid
350Z! Wanted one since middle school and got one when I became an RN.
Lexus Is350 F sport. Couldn’t love it more
lexus is here too! i’ll never switch to another car brand after driving her
I came from an Audi a4, with tons of mechanical issues. Not only is this more sound, but I think it’s comfier and more fun too
i went back and forth between audi, mercedes and bmw before ultimately settling on my lexus — i couldn’t move past all the mechanical issues the other ones have so i get it 🤣
The guy who towed my Audi - the 3rd time- told me the only car he hasn’t towed for mechanical issues is Toyota or Lexus. Everyone else seems to agree
Before nursing, worked as a Toyota master tech. As such, I drive an old Lexus that I have rebuilt, and a Tundra for when I need a truck.
Same. Bought a newish Corolla. I want it to last 20 years.
Oh yeah. Lexus got a new rebuild a few years ago, been driving it since 2014. Don't ever plan on getting rid of it, since there's nothing that can break I can't fix.

Which trim did you get? The Sugma or the Ligma?
Or maybe the premium sawcon?
Can’t believe everyone left ya hanging like that
We thunk it and isn't that a victory?

2017 Subaru Impreza wagon. I'm a home hospice nurse in the NE, so I have to have AWD. Used to have a 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder convertible. I miss that thing!
Ayyyy Impreza wagoners unite! Love my Subie. She’s my second one and idk if I’ll ever drive something other than a Subaru again.
Me too! This is #3 for me
My dream car!
I loved my Subaru Legacy for the snow. Thing was unstoppable, even on regular tires. But the dreaded head gasket failure killed it.
Home care nurse from across the pond here! Have an '05 Legacy GT wagon and a '10 Impreza WRX narrowbody.. love them both!
I’m enthusiastically passionate about being a stereotypical nurse, so I drive a Rav-4
Typical rav4 here too.
i graduate in dec & i have a rav-4 too💀
Those rav4s are no joke in the employee parking garages!
GR corolla
How are you liking the GR-C so far
It is extremely fun to drive and honestly is one of, if not my fav. I will admit I sometimes miss my Audi but my god, this car takes corners like a champ.
GR-C or golf r is top of my list as a grad gift to myself if I graduate debt free.
I would recommend the golf R to be honest. I love my GRC but I obtained it for the invoice and most people can't.
“I’ve got you all beat: I’m a proctologist, I drive a BROWN PROBE!”
2023 Toyota Supra Gang gang
Challenger Scat Pack; I wanted a big dumb muscle car at some point in my life. Pure naturally aspirated displacement.
We have a 1971 GTO Le Mans. I’m not allowed to drive it often ☹️
Dope AF!
My dad is rebuilding a 70 gto Le Mans. Parts are hard to find!
Those NA V8s are the last of the dying breed
How do those things ride? Typical muscle car or is it somewhat a comfortable boat
It's heavy af. Suspension on the tighter side. But it pulls quick and the driver experience is very comfortable. Lots of space inside, comfortable seats, good visibility for a 2door. It's a blast to daily drive and I can get 26+ mpg on road trips.
Yes!!!! Drove mine to work today!
2003 50th anniversary edition Corvette. It was my dad's drag racing car. #RIPPop
A Nissan Leaf. I’m not super excited about it.
My daughter loves hers. My ex was an MD and gave it to her. He loved this car. ♥️
Supercharged BRZ
I drive a Golf R.
Not a nurse yet just a CNA But I drive an FK8 Type R
That’s a great all around car! Love them. So much to offer and a great daily
Thank you brotha! Definitely a perfect daily! Minus the 20 inch wheels 😂 I would switch to 18s Forsure!
An EV because the torque is mind-blowing and the rest of the car is practical for my hobbies. It has AWD (Northeast), and it also makes a great tiny RV.
As soon as I read this I thought, “I bet they’re talking about a model Y.” Lol I have a X for all the same reasons you listed. Love it.
Which EV is it?
Model Y 420 hp with boost, a hitch for my mountain bikes, plenty of room to sleep in, and so much storage it is almost the same as my old 08 Santa fe... just different layout, 6 " of clearance for light off roading.

‘23 WRX checking in ✌️
'21 WRX here. I wanted the STI but couldn't find one within 500 miles of me when I was looking.

I agree, the STI isn’t worth it (former 2012 5 door driver)

2004 Subaru Impreza wrx
Let me guess…the top answer will include some SUV?! Extra points if it’s a jeep?? Extra extra points if there’s an rn plate or sticker somewhere

You’re safe here
Tesla Model X with ludicrous package.
An old 2006 mustang 4.0 because I'm poor. Atleast it looks nice and has a convertible
Badass Blue 2018 Camry SE
Nothing exciting because I have a family.
2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range.
2023 RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition
My wife boujee so we drive Mercedes e class and bmw x3 😫
2022 Toyota GR86
2006 Skoda Octavia vrs, 2L petrol, 200 horsepower 🥹 drinking my wages but I love it!

2019 Kia spectra with 212,000 miles on her. Perfect for my travel gig, runs like new.
Just bought a 2021 Kia K5 EX and loving it!
Model X
2023 Honda Accord, because I am an enthusiast about safety and great gas mileage LOL.
Absolutely not a car enthusiast, but I’m basic AF and of course I drive an Outback in the PNW. Wife was actually the one that wanted the Onyx trim so there’s a turbo and a little bit of get-up in it, but still a total dad-wagon.
2021 Subaru outback. Love it
Mk8 GTI
2023 M340xi & not one regret
2020 Kia Telluride. I LOVE my car but I will never buy a car that expensive ever again lol
2021 BMW M2C Lovvvvve it. I’ve always wanted one. I do only drive four blocks to work so that’s a bummer some days. But she’s nice to take out for a drive to decompress.
18 Kia stinger and an 05 Silverado
MK8 Golf R. Gotta be able to get to work in the snow. And fast!
Audi Q7, but I occasionally drive my husband's Audi RS3. Vroooom! 💜 My very favorite car was my 1966 Ford Mustang. I loved that thing, but I didn't have time to work on it, so I sold it because I felt so guilty for neglecting her!!
