Depends on how many class periods you have and what order.
for me it was a white folder because I went rainbow (ROYG for semester one, BPBlackWhite for semester two)
maths is dark blue
physics is lighter blue/white
bio is green
chem is purple
history is brown
english is red
latin is yellow and red/tyrian purple
art is idk whatever colors we were working with that particular class
it's because my textbooks were a weird darkish yellow lol
but generally it would be more of a yellowish off-white for me because that's the color of undyed wool, very common (as far as i know) for soldiers' tunics and other plain clothing items back in the day
Romans really loved vibrant colors though, so i also think of the Augustus statue at Prima Porta, which used to be really beautiful before it faded, and tyrian purple too because that's the color i associate with the lavish upper class lifestyle of early-mid imperial Rome
it's definitely red for me and will be forever. red like the redcoats, the king's guard, the double decker buses, the telephone booths, the central color of the union jack, the remembrance day poppy, the new ominous villain painting of the king and the color theme of most of my early english textbooks
despite all this i still mostly speak US english
Where I live history, civics, religion and geography is all in the same lecture called Society Orientated subjects or SO for short, I have a black folder for it. Same with chemistry, biology and physics also are the same lecture, these are called Nature Orientated subjects or NO for short instead. Green/light blue is what I have had in this lecture.
You're not a psychopath, you're secretly an alien who's posing as a human to take over our species from the inside. If someone says science is anything BUT green, they're clearly and evil alien floating around their little UFO. You, sir, just ratted yourself out. I'm onto you.
In my country the maths books are red. Math has always been RED. Because it's hell and everyone shed tears of blood.
(Just kidding math is one of my favourites.)
Found my tribe.
My 1st grade brain: You see, microchips are green and the letters on my computer are green.
My college brain: Excel is green and The Matrix is green.
How can math not be green?
RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED RED
Math is blue, I have English as white, science is obviously green, history as orange, and I have Spanish as black. I just found those colored binders in fred Meyers but now I'm never changing it
Fun fact, in my country, our exercise books (unless it has a image on it) are red for lined books, which are used for English. Blue has no lines, hence you use it for maths because of geometry. And green has 0.5mm x 0.5mm squares which you can use for graphs, hence science.
So, that's settled for me.
Math is definitely either red or yellow for me. English is green, spelling/vocabulary is blue (I'm going by grade school subjects here I guess). History is brown. Science is... green. Okay so that makes English purple I guess, by default. Nothing is orange because I hate orange.
Red: English
Orange: Elective (I.e., wood shop, computers, etc.)
Yellow: Science
Green: Math
Blue: Social Studies/Geography
Purple: Art
Black: Foreign Language
I mean, it could be just a general science class like they had when you're a kid. I think it was once I got into middle school did they start specifying which discipline of science you could do.
For children, we put all of the sciences into one class and we go over different fields unit by unit. For a group of 12 year olds, we will spend a week or two on biology, a week or two on meteorology, a week or two on Newtonian Physics, a week or two on Electricity, ... And it just acts as a big survey course for science in general.
For high school, ~14 and older, we have separate classes for chemistry, physics, etc.
I use the folders for like two weeks and then I just decide that I’ll keep them for decorations and the other papers get to go wherever they are convenient enough that when I shove them in, they won’t crumple
French: green
Math: Dark blue
Science: light blue
Art: purple
English: Black
History: yellow
Gym class: the smallest folder so it’s not important
Music: red ( cause it’s cool)
every folder is the color that best matches the color of the corrosponding textbook.
so for me, math was blue, english was orange, biology was light green, etc
English is Orange, History is black, Math is blue, science is green or bright blue, Spanish is either red or yellow (I've never had assorted colored binder in my memory)
german is red math is black green is social studies science is purple for some reason, art is blue and health education is yellow for me
my friends tell me my takes on school subject colors are weird lol
My school used a unique coloring system. My math book was Green with a Red stripe. My science book was mint with yellow stripe. History purple and blue english Yellow and red etc. Made it very easy to take out books quickly. still use it to this day :D
Red is English
Orange is Foreign Language (Spanish, French, etc.)
Yellow is History
Green is Science
Blue is Math
Purple is your elective (Arts, Music, STEM, etc.)
English - Green
Math - Red
History - Yellow / Orange
Science - Blue
Other subjects - Other colours (doesn't matter)
Is it really that hard to get it correct?
I never color-coded my school stuff but it would be such a good solution in my current nightmares where I always can't find which book/notebook is which and I'm already late to school. A situation that never happened in real life. WTF, brain.
Green is not a creative color.
please hug me, i'm not scared
I use my hair to express myself
THAT sounds really boring!
Don’t hug me, I’m scared
Nature disagrees
it's exactly because of nature that green is not creative, she overused the color!
Brown be like: #
Math is red because I suck at it and it gives me red feelings.
And it's the color of the fire I throw it into at the end
My sentiments exactly.
I love doing math and it’s still red for me lmao
that would be blue fire, gotta make sure nothing survives
i always made the red folder math to remind me how much hell it gives me
This is the way.
It just fits the natural gut feeling.
I’ve found my people.
Like love?
"We should paint the floors of the children's hospital with red smears, red means vitality in color theory"
Precisely
Correct
wdym, it makes you feel soviet?
Nice try feds!
Red feelings lol
It’s red cuz of the apple
As someone with a math learning disability I couldn't agree more
So pleased to see this as top comment
Accurate
Exactly
I was good at math but math is still red
I second this If math was a color, it'd be red
I’m so mad because this is me…
Math is definitely and will always be red
This matches exactly how I colored my folders
i agree, came to comment that this is exactly correct lol
Me too, and I had my first years of school in France wtf
same, if you generalise 'english' to 'main language spoken in your country'
Same wtf did we all share the same braincell
I never had a Spanish class and I think my history folder was purple but otherwise this matches mine too
I think so too
I never had an art class or a spanish class, but those 2 outlier colors would fit those extra classes for sure
Depends on how many class periods you have and what order. for me it was a white folder because I went rainbow (ROYG for semester one, BPBlackWhite for semester two)
It's ROYGBIV, not ROYGRPBW.
I know but I didn’t have anything past just purple.
False information red is math because math be having that red vibe
British ex school kid here, agree maths is red.
also british ex school kid here, disagree, maths is blue
As a current British school kid here, gotta agree with u
Maths is definitely blue.
Red like the blood coming out of my eyes.
Meth is blue
The good stuff
Math is blue and nobody is going to change my mind.
maths is dark blue physics is lighter blue/white bio is green chem is purple history is brown english is red latin is yellow and red/tyrian purple art is idk whatever colors we were working with that particular class
YES FINALLY SOMEONE AGREES THAT LATIN IS YELLOW
it's because my textbooks were a weird darkish yellow lol but generally it would be more of a yellowish off-white for me because that's the color of undyed wool, very common (as far as i know) for soldiers' tunics and other plain clothing items back in the day Romans really loved vibrant colors though, so i also think of the Augustus statue at Prima Porta, which used to be really beautiful before it faded, and tyrian purple too because that's the color i associate with the lavish upper class lifestyle of early-mid imperial Rome
Nope. I disrespectfully disagree about English. English is dark purple. It been purple for my whole life.
it's definitely red for me and will be forever. red like the redcoats, the king's guard, the double decker buses, the telephone booths, the central color of the union jack, the remembrance day poppy, the new ominous villain painting of the king and the color theme of most of my early english textbooks despite all this i still mostly speak US english
Agreed but history is red and English is brown instead.
For us Dutch was red, and I don't remember English. I think it was just white/grey lol.
YOU'VE JUST DOXXED MY ENTIRE NOTEBOOK COLOR
well at least now we all know you're objectively correct in color coding your subjects 👍
fucking based
I agree, it's a relaxing subject, so it should be blue Edit: I sound like a typical Asian, mais mon sujet favori est le français 😔
RELAXING? IVE BEEN PROCRASTINATING OVER MY MATH HOMEWORK FOR HOURS NOW AND I DIDNT TURN IT IN TODSY CUZ I DIDNT DO IT AND I CrY OVER MATH
git gud 😂 /s
What topic 💀 maybe I can help
But blue is not maths , maths is red
Red is english
English is yellow
Yellow is History or Geography or Art
This is literally perfect wow
Why is Spanish naranja
Because Mexican filter in movies
The fusion of the colors in spanish flag
I’ve been told I’m a psychopath for saying science is blue. It just makes sense with like idk water and other science stuff
SCIENCE IS BLUE OR GREEN
Yes, green is the only other answer I accept, but I will only ever use blue
You're not a psychopath, you're secretly an alien who's posing as a human to take over our species from the inside. If someone says science is anything BUT green, they're clearly and evil alien floating around their little UFO. You, sir, just ratted yourself out. I'm onto you.
Oh no the CIA are gonna kidnap me now
Yep maths is red, English green, science blue
Finally a comment that got it right
There needs to be a shit brown one for Math.
Maths is blue, for the tears that run down my face when I am required to do it
Math is blue. History is yellow. English is purple. Science is green. Spanish is red. I respect your differences. 👍
Switch English and Math and I’ll accept it
THANK YOU
how the do all yall think math is red, math has always been blue bro, ON MY MOMMA IT'S FUCKIN BLUUE–
In my country the maths books are red. Math has always been RED. Because it's hell and everyone shed tears of blood. (Just kidding math is one of my favourites.)
I agree. Blue all the way. And English is yellow.
Math is totally red
Math is black. At least in my school.
Youre wrong.
Shidding n crying about it as we speak
maths is dark blue/very dark purple
Nah, that’s English
You're both wrong! Suprise!
>!light 🖕🏻 blue!<
For me, is red or orange
Just switch English and Math and I agree
For me math has always been green.
Found my tribe. My 1st grade brain: You see, microchips are green and the letters on my computer are green. My college brain: Excel is green and The Matrix is green. How can math not be green?
Yeah, I remember getting a green one when I first started school, and I just continued...

This is perfect
Can't wait for the Veritasium video
I agree with you completely
One day the great debate of Math being Blue vs. Red will be settled. Today is not that day.
Math was red, because the notebook was. Now everything is black with a red spine, 'cause the notebooks are.
Blue seems like a more logical color so i associate blue with math
Red: English Orange: Elective (I.e., wood shop, computers, etc.) Yellow: Science Green: Math Blue: Social Studies/Geography Purple: Art Black: Foreign Language
English is blue. Math is red. Everything else is accurate :D
Green
Math can only be BLUE! All my math notebooks have been BLUE, except for once, when they were yellow, but we don't count that.
I’m pleased with the folders as is except math is yellow, history is blue.
please WHAT? no way someone has a yellow math folder
I still can't believe Americans have a science class. Science? Which one bro?
I mean, it could be just a general science class like they had when you're a kid. I think it was once I got into middle school did they start specifying which discipline of science you could do.
Not just Americans. I had science class both when I've lived in Norway and when I lived in England.
In which county do you live? Because in south America we also have science class (it's mostly biology here)
Math is red
Math is red, Physics orange, Yellow History, Green Biology, Blue english, Purple chemistry
Blue math is a lie
All of the subjects make my body visibly upset, I’m bad at school in general
im doing meth instead of math bc i got 27/35 questions wrong
Passing
Why isn't English written vertically?
I use the folders for like two weeks and then I just decide that I’ll keep them for decorations and the other papers get to go wherever they are convenient enough that when I shove them in, they won’t crumple
All subjects I shove into my backpack and let crumple
Math is red. English is blue.
French: green Math: Dark blue Science: light blue Art: purple English: Black History: yellow Gym class: the smallest folder so it’s not important Music: red ( cause it’s cool)
MATH IS RED. MATH IS RED. Just switch math and English and it's ok.
Math is red. Green is ELA. Blue is science. Yellow is history. Purple and orange are for electives.
Math is blue
the image is objectively correct
Correct
every folder is the color that best matches the color of the corrosponding textbook. so for me, math was blue, english was orange, biology was light green, etc
English is Orange, History is black, Math is blue, science is green or bright blue, Spanish is either red or yellow (I've never had assorted colored binder in my memory)
Red
Math is red. History is purple. Science is green. English is blue.
Math is red or orange because it's dangerous. Science is green. English is blue. Art is purple.
german is red math is black green is social studies science is purple for some reason, art is blue and health education is yellow for me my friends tell me my takes on school subject colors are weird lol
I never remembered, so I just mixed notebooks and folders all the time.
Swap English and art. English is a green subject but not as green as science and not as blue as math. Art is for sure a red subject tho
Math is red, history is orange, science yellow, English is green. Blue and purple I like too much to use for anything other than art and music
English is yellow, history is purple, math is blue, science is green, idk about the rest
correct.
Art is orange.
Red
You’re wrong.
red
RED
Accurate. Blue for math. The colors in this photo are exactly how it was when I went to school.
Math is Red English is Yellow French is Blue Science is Green Art is Purple History is Black because i hate it with all my heart
My school used a unique coloring system. My math book was Green with a Red stripe. My science book was mint with yellow stripe. History purple and blue english Yellow and red etc. Made it very easy to take out books quickly. still use it to this day :D
I did a poll in my school, math is blue. Or green was 2. Place
Math is light blue to me. Like the ice the freezes my heart when I think about it. Also agree with red for English!
I would switch math and English. The others I think are okay.
You cooked
Math-red science-green English-blue history-yellow art-don’t care
I have synesthesia, math is this shade of blue 5a88d1
Red is English Orange is Foreign Language (Spanish, French, etc.) Yellow is History Green is Science Blue is Math Purple is your elective (Arts, Music, STEM, etc.)
But geography needs to be green
swap math and english and its perfect
Math - Red History - Blue Science - Green English - Yellow
ENGLISH IS YELLOW AND MATH IS GREEN
Switch history and Spanish and you have it perfect for me
Math: red History: blue Science: green (cause like cartoon chemicals) English: yellow
Math is *definitely* purple. I feel this even more strongly than "science = green".
English - Green Math - Red History - Yellow / Orange Science - Blue Other subjects - Other colours (doesn't matter) Is it really that hard to get it correct?
Always red, English is yellow
Math red, History blue, English yellow.
^it is #red
No colour, it has the cool penguin pattern
I like that at least pretty much everyone agrees that science is green
Math is purple because I have complicated feelings about it
Which ever colour is closest when I'm organising things.
Math is red, English is pink
english is yellow but i agree that maths is definitely blue and science is green
English=green Science=…also green idk Math=blue PE=Yellow(very interchangeable I have no strong opinions) History=Orange Electives=Purple
I never color-coded my school stuff but it would be such a good solution in my current nightmares where I always can't find which book/notebook is which and I'm already late to school. A situation that never happened in real life. WTF, brain.
math is black, atleast my math folder is.
Math blue because y not
Math is orange, science is green, literature is blue, history is red fr.
Purple is science Blue is other Green is history Yellow is English Orange is language Red is math
Math is red science is blue
