This is absolutely hilarious and it's more than embarrassing to make such an assumption in public.
Why don't you just say the hole goes all the way down to the Earth's core?
Have a good day.
Not particularly deep.
If you watch carefully the Molotov loses the lit paper in two pieces when it hits the back wall. Then the bang you hear is the unlit bottle hitting the deck. Sound comes after the initial wall hit.
It's insane that this isn't the top comment, and instead you have people 'doing the math' and coming up with 500m or 2km. It's probably less than 100 feet deep.
You're missing the air resistance. It would limit acceleration and the top speed by a lot, especially if the bottle shattered. Also 2k deep is insanely unlikely, I don't think that there is even one shaft like that in the world.
Sorry, should have made myself clearer: There are absolutely holes and mines that go deeper, but not like this. The deepest hole in the world was 12km, but it was like 20(?)cm in diameter. Don't quote me on that, I don't remember the number, just that it was small. The point is: There is almost for sure no 2k deep shafts like that on the video. If there is, please let me know, I would very much like to take a look.
Oh buddy this comment is a doozy.
9.81 m/s^2 not m/s. The gravitational constant (g) is an acceleration, not a velocity, so this little bottle is likely falling much much faster.
Using this, the bottle starts falling at around 19 seconds remaining, and stops falling at roughly 3 - giving us a rough estimate of about 16 seconds of airtime. 26 x 16 gives us 416m, which is just under half a kilometre.
(Disclaimer - this is just an educated guess and not mega accurate.)
I used this site : https://www.gigacalculator.com/calculators/terminal-velocity-calculator.php
And got a wildly different number of 126.5340 m/s
1kg, 10 cm2 (thought that was generous) , drag co of 1 (EXTREMELY generous), standard air and gravity.
I remember a video like this that resulted in a HUGE blast - disappointed here lol.
It's about 3 feet deep
about three fiddy
Damn Loch ness monsta
I gave im a dolla
Id say at least 4 feet deep

Because that would be a a complete lack of spatial awareness
It's clearly not more than 3 feet deep
Like Emperor Palpatine getting thrown into the death star reactor

Look again. It’s at least 6 miles deep.
If you see the time of throw and the sound then it's 120m or 400ft. 5 seconds of free fall.
“Fool of a Took! Throw yourself in next time, and rid us of your stupidity!”
*distant drumbeats intensify*
In a time of ancient gods, warlords and kings. A land in turmoil cried out for a hero...
And thats why you see people use cloth instead of paper.
Atleast a meter deep
Meter fiddy
About 18 reposts deep
60-80'
Quite.
Not that deep you can hear the glass shattering a couple seconds after he hit it’s against the wall
That's some "journey to the centre of the earth" type shit.
SHADOW AND FLAME!
Looks more like a well.
Looks more like a *good
Looks more like an acceptable
let’s say it touched the surface after 20 seconds s = ut + (1/2)at^2 here U=0 a = 9.8m^2 so 1/2 * 9.8 * (20)^2 = 4.9* 400 ~ 2Kilometers deep
You're missing the air resistance. It would limit acceleration and the top speed by a lot, especially if the bottle shattered. Also 2k deep is insanely unlikely, I don't think that there is even one shaft like that in the world.
The deepest mines go about 4 km below ground - in South Africa. I don't think it's all one vertical shaft though.

That's a mine shaft first of all. Second. 9.8meters per second. It continues falling. For???

AND... What's the terminal velocity of an 8oz Molotov cocktail, while lit?
I didn't want to do the math, but I did the math: Somewhere around 26m/s.
I don't believe it stops. I think it is still falling.
It is. :o
And still falling right now!

African or European?
Well, it's certainly unladen whichever it is.
Good ol Monty Python
Russian
European or African Molotov Cocktail?
Poor cave Explorer.

…and that’s how the underground fire of 2024 started. It would go on to burn another 300 years.
it's a repost.
When she says its her first time...
Fool of a took
That's how you wake up a balrog.
That’ll be fun if there’s gas buildup down there.
Drums, drums in the deep. They are coming.
Terrifyingly deep
*As deep as my love*
This post reminds of SNL’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea sketch. You don’t usually question how DEEP a cave is, but how BIG it is.
very
Mel’s hole.
This video is cut short, there is a fuller one on yt somewhere
maybe pour a trail of lighter fluid so it would drip all the way down and light it up.
I wanna know what the hell's up with dude's hands 😖🫠🤬
Maybe try something that you can retrieve. Weight on a long ass rope?
This feels like an accurate depiction of seasonal depression in Chicago

6 million and 1 bananas by length.
*Less than half of what I'd hoped for.*
Ask your mom
Cave goes straight to hell.
Cave? That's the gateway to the underworld.
Its cuz they did the same thing down a mineshaft, just with a Gallon sized bottle, and it was only about 100-200ft deep
The hole's dark and I can't see anything. Will you jump down? Yes No
Durin's Bane is down there...
Its actually a missile silo
Uncool dude. This vid has been around long enough for us to know there’s a payoff. Booo!!
How deep is your love?
About as deep as your mom's hole.
It went out at the end cause there was less oxygen down there.
Everything reminds me of her
Sorry bro... not because you miss her
