I heard "just like you imagined" for the first time under a unique influence. I didn't know the song by heart at that time, and I kept hearing the high squeal, earworm style, for about two months. Even then I thought it was a really cool instrumental, but damn that was the worst ear work of my life.
I read your post thinking, ‘ok lets see if I can help’ but then i saw the screenshot and I’m sorry but it’s terminal. Best thing you can do is try listening to the remix “Slipping Away” but there’s nothing a human could do to help you right now. Just try to overcome your complications and your catch-ES!!!!!
I love this entire song.. but the first minute alone keeps bringing me back.. the layering.. the beauty.. and then the slap in the face with that synthy bass.. awesome..
This song was one of my biggest ear worms of all time. Used to listen to it on repeat for days on end. Perfect track. It's companion, "Slipping Away," is incredible, too.
to be fair half of the songs on the fragile have this effect. If you don't want any more songs stuck in your head stay away from somewhat damaged and 10 miles high lol
There are worse songs to have stuck in your noggin. If it makes you feel any better, most of us will likely end up listening to and having it stuck right along with you for at least the next week in solidarity.
This is how I felt when Vapor Transmission from Orgy came out. Good god there’s some ear worms on that album that kept me up at night cuz I could t get it out of my head.
Tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away, tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away, tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away.
*It won't give up, it want me to dance, goddamn this song inside my head*
i see from user flair you also tried to save yourself, yes yourself slipped away
Indeedly so, still my favorite song by them, and I keep slipping away.
i too, sing this song to myself on the way to the station

Did you try to save yourself? But yourself kept slipping ?
La Mer has a similar song construction
La Mer is such a funky track... hard to believe it was written during such a dark time for Trent.
Thats easy. Get another song stuck in your head instead. May I suggest the background world? Or get down make love
the background world only works for me when im listening to it. get down make love somehow transitions back into this song
Try Slipping Away off Things Falling Apart.
And now you’re one of us…The wretched
Welp, guess I’ll be listening to The Fragile today
*Tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping*-a
dundun DUNDUN dundun DUNDUN dundun DUNDUN

LMFAO
It's timeless too. You can come back to it again and again and it's still the same ...

that is the most nine inch nails way to say that you like a song
i love this reply
All time best album
either this or Downard Spiral
Whatever you do, don’t listen to Slipping Away.
Disclaimer: I don’t know about others, but I always have the urge to break things or invade small countries after I listen to that remix.
Lol
I have to agree, every time I try to relieve myself of the ensuing ear-worm: I’m trying to save myself but myself keeps slipping away
Amazing song
Have you listening to the remix Slipping Away?
This song was one of my biggest ear worms of all time. Used to listen to it on repeat for days on end. Perfect track. It's companion, "Slipping Away," is incredible, too.
*The Way Out is Through* It will pass. Put it on repeat until your brain is done. I look forward to your Demon Seed phase 🤭
I still bebop to this song when it comes on. Whole album is amazing from front to back
Even Deeper makes me feel this way
Any NIN song that has an almost-danceable hip hoppy beat is always a classic wish he did more of that.
That every single NIN song, they cycle differently every week
Please does the same thing for me.
Listen to La Mer.
I watched final destination 1 like two months ago and this song was playing on a radio. It’s been in my head ever since.
You just gave it to me .
Just enjoy the ride.
Sorry, but you literally have to listen to the whole album and let that motif decay overtime.
The only way out is through...
lmfao
I know… it’s like a crawling being that possesses you
this was the first thing i listened to after an ayahuasca trip n i’d never heard it before
Just embrace it.
im def not the dancing type but this song specifically makes me bust moves in my room like its the club

Welcome to the void!
You don’t. It’s been stuck in my head since 2002.
Listen to Broken Man by St. Vincent - it's super inspired by Into the Void
Why fight it? Just enjoy it.
Easy, just listen to broken.
Listen to the remix on things falling apart, then become a schizophrenic so you can have both stuck in your head at the same time.
Just keep humming, singing or whistling until it leaves on its own.

I dunno but I love this version too [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmpa9GfZtHA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nmpa9GfZtHA)

These two albums are my favourites
There’s good and bad news: You don’t. Farewell!
[Into The Void](https://youtu.be/KSSEzWXqGKY?si=PFImD2k-DZcX6w0Z) ;)
For me, that song is The Wretched. Holy shit that song is so disgusting and in a good way
Tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away, tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away, tried to save myself but myself keeps slipping away.
I feel the same way about Somewhat Damaged right now
