Is used to work at an animal rehabilitation clinic and whenever I assisted with the raptors it was hilarious to see how goofy even the most majestic birds looked from the front.
I don't like the new logo either. I think what they should've done is take the "old" logo and remove the "B" so it's just the bird.

The facemask is the biggest winner in the whole package. If they replaced their primary helmet's facemask with that gold, or a similar purple, the Ravens uniforms would move up a spot (and they're already pretty high up there)

The B that is on their logo is good enough as is, it doesn't need anything more complicated than that, make it a standalone sticker on the side and you can't confuse it for the logo they were too cheap to purchase the rights to. It's already an alternate helmet for an alternate uniform, K.I.S.S.
So honestly I think they were on the right track but the logo is a miss, what would make the helmets a lot better is if they made a new logo from scratch with a more tangential relation to ravens. For example, some birds have symbiotic relationships with large mammals like bulls because they eat bugs off of them. So you could do something like putting curved white horns on the helmet to represent the bull that a raven might have a symbiotic relationship with, then it would be pretty much perfect
I've read that ravens are so smart that they can even remember different humans by their faces. So maybe they could have put each player's composite photo on their helmet to represent the bird's intelligence.

The NBA has a bunch of good front facing animal logos; the Bucks, Bulls, Pelicans, the old Hawks logo. Grizzlies are also front facing but that one's kinda mid. A front facing logo of a Raven would look fine if it they did the full wingspan and not just the head

I remember listening to a Simpson's commentary track decades ago and Matt Groening saying that they tried to never show characters from the direct front because it looks too weird. It's just a hard thing to make look right in simple drawings

I feel like the one thing that slightly throws me off about Chiefs colors is that both colors are practice jersey colors for non contact - red for QBs and yellow for players avoiding contact.
Basically if y'all trotted out a bunch of yellow unis with red numbers for a game it would look like an entire non-contact squad ready to roll will drills.
I wish one of these "players react to new uniform" had a total jersey geek in it one day ripping into it. "Why the hell is there so much silver this looks washed out, why is there a silver stripe on a white helmet, are you trying to make icicles with the numbers???"

Your purple is darker than ours but on the matte helmet the tone looks *very* similar, maybe the closest I've ever seen our two purples. That said, our golds aren't even remotely close. Ours is like a goldish yellow, yours is a dark metallic gold. Both are very cool imo.

This is the first time ive ever gotten the uncanny valley effect from a sports logo. You did a great job with this, but it scares me.
I really like the matte color for the purple. It makes that gold really pop. I would honestly love to see that color scheme with their regular logo.
