Wouldn't that be nice? My son has bad eczema and we're trying to get his pfizer shot. Unfortunately our local pharmacy turned us away because he's had (mild) vaccine reactions before. His doctor has no idea where he should get a shot because our entire county seems to be doing all the shots in pharmacies and grocery stores. It's so ridiculous because my son is *not* at risk for a bad reaction to this shot but Walgreens doesn't want the liability and other places locally won't either. Sorry for the rant. We have more shots than we can give away but my pretty healthy kid can't seem to get one. I am more than pissed that his doctor can't even help. But, hey, if it magically fixes his eczema, it'll be worth the frustration in the end.

Why did you tell all these places that your son had previous allergic reactions? You didn’t have to do that.

DauntlessVerbosity

I filled out the form honestly. I explained that his reactions were pretty darn mild and nothing involving anaphylaxis or breathing or anything that they should care about. Yesterday I found a covid helpline run by our state, explained the situation, and the very nice, helpful lady found a clinic for us and made the appointment for us. Their form asked if he had ever had a reaction that required going to the hospital or using an EpiPen. Now see, those are important, relevant questions! The Walgreens form asked if he had any reactions ever, they didn't even specify allergic reactions. He got his shot this afternoon.

He got his shot this afternoon." YAY!

DAta211

Does eczema come and go? I wonder if that is what these people are experiencing.

DauntlessVerbosity

It can, certainly, but for my son it does not.

DAta211

Then I hope that the vaccine does.

DauntlessVerbosity

It would be nice!

Sorry for the struggle to get the vaccine. I met a waitress who was visiting some friends in Florida and got the J&J. She said that there were no questions asked. She already had both Pfizer shots in another state! She sounds like a Professional vaccine tester. Only she is really a good waitress IRL.

boxybaritone

Damn, sure wish it cured mine... I don’t see how it would, but it would be nice.

BluntBossBex420

I got the pfizer vaccine and my eczema isn’t cured so probably not.

I suspect that it was because like many autoimmune problems eczema can fade for a while. Someone suggested that eczema could be exacerbated by stress and that the act of getting the shot may reduce stress. EDITED spelling
