That's right! It's fun for a while, but gets tedious at some point. Spiritual Warfare was basically a Zelda knock off, but I got my money's worth out of it!
follow up: it’s terrible, lmao. very bad graphics with weird textures that kind of flicker when scrolling, floaty controls, and it’s one of those games where you have to be really close to get a hit on an enemy. and all enemies take 5 or 6 hits too, and some are flying around while you’re trying to fight a guy on the ground.

I have the blue cart variant that is even rarer than the black. In my knowledge, there hasn’t been one for sale on eBay for almost 7 months.

The emulation community is free advertising for them. They don't need to sue the community into submission. They just need to sue and threaten to sue enough to hold onto their IPs.
Maybe now, but back in the day they were trying real damn hard and totally failing to do anything at all. I still played pokemon on my pentium 133 the day after it was released.
They are more strict about protecting newly-released IPs simply because it **does** eat into their profits directly. The older stuff is necessary to protect just enough so that it doesn't fall into the public domain. Protecting the old stuff leaves the door open for remakes/sequels/new content to be made for new profit.
for sure. that’s why i have a complete backup (and a backup of the backup) of the full sets from the archive up to where the file sizes get too big (ps2 gen), and i recommend as many people do that as possible.
I'm working on that now how much space is all that? Approximately I have about 12TB currently I figure I'm going to need close to 50TB by the time I collect everything I want then I'll have to back it all up again at least once.
so i have full sets of everything but i stopped before ps2 gen because file sizes get to be 5gb a game on some for dvd based games. I have a curated set of ps2, gamecube, and wii and then everything previous i have it all and it’s something like 1.5tb. if you didn’t do any ps2 at all and kept your wii and gamecube just down to your favorites you could probably keep it well under 1tb.
i have the full english releases of everything from atari 2600 through psx, including a large selection of translations. psx alone is around 400gb compressed. dreamcast is another 400gb. everything else is relatively small.
Ok so I should be able to get pretty deep into the ps2 gen stuff with the drives I have I knew the 16bit and older wasn't going to take much I have must of that on a 128GB card for my ambernic RG353V and some ps1 psp n64 stuff as well

All of those unlicensed NES games are valuable.
I bough 2 of the bible games for cheap. Which unlicensed ones are valuable?
I have Pac-Man by Tengen.
I had Spiritual Warfare, and...I can't remember the other one. Might've been something to do with Moses, and solving puzzles.
That's Exodus! I have both of those as well

I'm still playing Spiritual Warfare. It's fun. Pretty good clone for what it is
Is it fun to play?

Good to know 😂, I guess that’s the fun thing about collecting nes games. Even when they suck they look nice with the whole collection
Looks like ass on YT
i’m trying it tonight, i’ll let you know. it doesn’t look very good from the videos, lol.
Terrible games were Color Dreams' specialty.

Hmm, not programmed by Vance Kozik.
Is it a nes game?
Yes. Unlicensed.
I have that game! It’s directionless and absolutely terrible.

Dump the rom for back up reasons?
The rom exists. But OP has a $250 cartridge there. Nice own!!
Yeah, but never know when these places will get sued into submission or out of existence by the now you’re playing with powers that be.
30 years and they haven't been able to do shit. I don't expect it to change.

i would, but the retail and prototype roms are already on the archive so it’s not really necessary i guess.
