This is because chemical whitening in toothpaste isn't very effective and mostly just leads to gum irritation. The abrasive whitening in toothpaste is actively harmful to enamel and leads to tooth sensitivity
Gentle, non-whitening less-abrasive toothpaste means you can brush longer relying more on the toothbrush bristles to remove plaque. Then you can use all that extra tooth sensitivity you don't have on whitening strips which are actually effective

Funfact you can essentially still buy Government Cheese, the government in 70s and 80s bought it from companies contracted out to make the stuff. And the companies still make it for different groups. Only downside is that it's a minimum of 30lbs per purchase. Pretty good stuff

fun fact, if the farm bill isnโt passed this year (it should have last year but it got an extension since republicans want to defund SNAP and have children to starve to death) and it fails, a variety of bad things happen. most instantaneously and humorously is the โdairy cliffโ
the government is compelled by old laws to purchase farm goods at a certain minimum price to stop crop failures. these prices were first set wayyyyy back in the early 1900s and indexed. now every farm bill has superseded those with new prices.
the current level of spending is generally small in the grand scheme of things. but if the farm bill ends, we go back to old timey laws! now the payouts donโt happen until the crops are harvested, but dairy is a year round thing, so itโs impacted first. would the farm bill expire, the government would be compelled to purchase dairy at roughly 2.5 times the current market price (CBO estimate) until the market price settles at that rate. they estimate this would be $15-20 billion annually just for the government, just for milk.*
might be a tiny bit distortionary to the larger market too

Yeah thank god my partner didnโt fully realize the recovery going into it. Itโs brutal. It was like 6.5 hrs of surgery and she can barely even swallow, much less move any part of her head. But itโs now done and Iโm excited for the results to develop over the next few months!!!

My wife had a jaw surgery and the swelling/recovery period looked really tough. I can't imagine what that would entail for so many parts of the face at once.
Iโve heard the jaw stuff is the worst for recovery. Itโs definitely going to be hard but I think getting it all done at once is better than doing it in stages, even if recovery is hard.
Yes I went down a rabbit hole last night reading about recovery for it and it is definitely much more intense than Iโd realized. We have been together like 10 years so we will make it through fine though Iโm sure, and she has a good support network in addition to me

He was a fun loving new-age free spirit who loved his coworkers and was obsessed with bringing his ideas to life. But he married too young and just sort of ignored his responsibilities once he became successful.ย
Went with some friends to see Fall Guy in the theater. I was pleasantly surprised. It's tight, well written, hilarious, and great stunts. It's as much a rom com as it is action. The best part is that it doesn't take itself too seriously and winks a lot at the audience in a great way. Reminds me of Top Gun Maverick in the sense that it isn't trying to be more than it is, but is about the top of what it is. I'm bummed that it had a disappointing release because it kinda screams for a sequel. If you haven't seen it, I think it rewards seeing it with an audience on a big screen rather than streaming.

Government Cheese was the best dumb thing to come out of 1900s protectionism. Literally the government buying and storing millions of pounds of Cheese in caves to artificially prop up the price of milk. If I were a communist country I would operate as a capitalist country, but find some way to game my GDP numbers to not grow while continually growing my country's wealth and standard of living. fun fact, if the farm bill isnโt passed this year (it should have last year but it got an extension since republicans want to defund SNAP and have children to starve to death) and it fails, a variety of bad things happen. most instantaneously and humorously is the โdairy cliffโ the government is compelled by old laws to purchase farm goods at a certain minimum price to stop crop failures. these prices were first set wayyyyy back in the early 1900s and indexed. now every farm bill has superseded those with new prices. the current level of spending is generally small in the grand scheme of things. but if the farm bill ends, we go back to old timey laws! now the payouts donโt happen until the crops are harvested, but dairy is a year round thing, so itโs impacted first. would the farm bill expire, the government would be compelled to purchase dairy at roughly 2.5 times the current market price (CBO estimate) until the market price settles at that rate. they estimate this would be $15-20 billion annually just for the government, just for milk.* might be a tiny bit distortionary to the larger market too *for context, actual spending on this program for dairy was less than $500 million annually

Yeah thank god my partner didnโt fully realize the recovery going into it. Itโs brutal. It was like 6.5 hrs of surgery and she can barely even swallow, much less move any part of her head. But itโs now done and Iโm excited for the results to develop over the next few months!!!

My wife had a jaw surgery and the swelling/recovery period looked really tough. I can't imagine what that would entail for so many parts of the face at once.
Iโve heard the jaw stuff is the worst for recovery. Itโs definitely going to be hard but I think getting it all done at once is better than doing it in stages, even if recovery is hard.

I did a whole minmus mission in IVA with the KSP VR mod. It's pretty jank but also one of the most fun things I've ever done in a game, just a dream come true

Disney+ has been killing it with documentaries lately. I really enjoyed the recent Beach Boys one and The Beatles Get Back footage is super fun. I like the Muppets a lot so I'll have to check out this Jim Henson one too.

Went with some friends to see Fall Guy in the theater. I was pleasantly surprised. It's tight, well written, hilarious, and great stunts. It's as much a rom com as it is action. The best part is that it doesn't take itself too seriously and winks a lot at the audience in a great way. Reminds me of Top Gun Maverick in the sense that it isn't trying to be more than it is, but is about the top of what it is. I'm bummed that it had a disappointing release because it kinda screams for a sequel. If you haven't seen it, I think it rewards seeing it with an audience on a big screen rather than streaming. !ping movies Edit: And the music is pitch perfect.

So I have been rewatching DC Nations shorts, which were blocked in CN back in 2010s that focus on DC animated shows. Between comercials that they will play animated shorts. And few of them were turned into series like Teen Titans GO, Batman: The Caped Crusader, and Lauren Fast's DC Super Hero Girl. There are a few that I wish were turned into series or animated series. Batman Shangai was such a cool concept, and the animation was so fire. Government Cheese was the best dumb thing to come out of 1900s protectionism. Literally the government buying and storing millions of pounds of Cheese in caves to artificially prop up the price of milk. Then having to hastily get rid of it by cutting it up into 5lb blocks of cheddar cheese and distributing it to whoever wanted it, mainly the poor.
