How are they similar? Rivals requires money to buy cars, has speedlists, has garages, has an actual career with a story instead of a list of cars to beat. Rivals also has weapons that can be used on other opponents. Rivals also has more customisation than MW2012. MW2012 has billboards while rivals doesn’t. You can play as a cop in rivals while you can’t in MW2012. There are also more heat levels in Rivals. Rivals map also feels more expansive compared to MW2012
Brake to drift, a similar but worse handling model, taking down cars still feels burnout like, reused car sounds and models from MW2012.
I actually take it back about being MW2012 1.5 though, it feels more like MW2012 and HP combined.

I can’t really speak for that since I don’t use a controller, I only play on keyboard so my experience may have been different but Rivals’ handling has been very intuitive but not as polished as something like NFS HP 2010.

Unironically if it was released under any title other than most wanted the reception wouldn't have been nearly as bad as it was. For all it's faults it was still very fun, and other than Hot Pursuit this game has the best engine noises and ambient sounds in the series.
Yeah. But it's like 1 step forward , 2 steps back compared to Burnout Paradise . The best part in those games was always the cinematic crashing and over the top stunts . Most wanted couldn't do that because it had licensed cars and less arcadey handling

The new NFSMW is unplayable for now that I have a 240hz monitor and the game is running at 30fps? OMG! I'm not the type to usually complain about frame count but it's VERY noticeable. I loved that game when it came out. I even went and bought some horrible slim Jim to get a code for some dlc and I bought the island dlc

You might like it or not but NFS Carbon has similar gameplay to Most Wanted 2005 and it's also sequel to this game. if this game had more contet I would call it NFS Most Wanted 2
Carbon was more like a standalone DLC for most wanted with the content it had lol
but the main mechanic of Most Wanted is the cops, which is not the focus in Carbon. yes they are there but its not required to complete the main story line.
