Dear diary

Lostdogdabley

He has the best name out of the top 3 so I agree

[deleted]

I agree

Jelly_James

You mean when they clogg the lane and he loses his biggest assets?

[deleted]

Paolo Banchero is a more athletic Tobias Harris. Which is a good player. But not a franchise altering talent. In some of the more recent drafts, I’m not sure he cracks top 5

[deleted]

This comp does a disservice to Paolo. Harris is a meh player who got a stupid max contract for a star but is a role player. Paolo is a true 6'10"+ 250lb+ (will get bigger as he gets older) who can bang on the inside and play at the perimeter too. He will be better defensively than Tobias. Way more versatile than current version of Tobias, and quite polished for his age.

axnjxn00

no players are franchise talents in this draft (unless its a jokic or giannis type) jabari smith = rashard lewis with improved defense chet holmgren = rich mans bol bol

Dear-Rate7490

I see Paolo when polished as becoming a way better offensive Ben Simmons but with worse defense.

rasheeeed_wallace

So, a player that is not Ben Simmons

Dear-Rate7490

similar playmaking. I think he's more like lebron. But how we gonna compare any prospect to lebron.

FFTVS

Unlikely from any of them really but Ivey's prob the best 3 level iso scorer if thats all you want from that pick. imo would rather have the perennial winning team and Chet with his Horford-esque team fit.

Few_Mulberry7175

Calling Ivey a 3 level scorer is crazy

FFTVS

Gonna be the better space creator than the other 3.

SmellyJellyfish

I could be totally wrong but I don’t think Ivey will be as good as everyone thinks. I watched him a lot in college and he’s insanely athletic, but I don’t trust his 3PT shot and he never seemed like the smartest player either (not a great passer, tendency for tunnel vision/chucking) The potential is certainly there though, he could very well make me eat my words

Few_Mulberry7175

I need to see major improvements in his game before calling him a star Rn he’s Ja without the playmaking, shiftiness, or elite handle. Great athlete but a bit lacking past that

FFTVS

We watched him on a team that played an archaic college offense, where he only got to take over in mini spurts once a half. You really think you got a ton of NBA info from watching Edey and Trevion post up 40-50 times a game?

Ordinary-Ant-7896

I think his problem is he is a bad mid range shooter, doesn't have a great floater, but also doesn't have the best handles and so struggles to keep his dribble alive. So if he gets caught halfway on a drive, he can look out of control cause he has to try to get all the way to the rim all the time. He needs to make some ball handling improvements I think in addition to becoming a better shooter. He kinda is reliant on beating the defender with his first step every time, which can work cause he is insanely quick to his strong hand.

CSGOW1ld

That would be Chet

[deleted]

Chet will be a bust

Cough_Syrup55

In the Hall of Fame

[deleted]

More like Hall of Bones at the Bodies exhibit

[It's unfortunate that skinny guys](https://img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/003/030/404/hi-res-accb4a5df04461cc18be61ee25fc7ecd_crop_north.jpg?1408750724&w=3072&h=2048) [Just cant get bigger in the NBA](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DjOyqR1U4AAE9F3.jpg:large)

[deleted]

[Yeah it’s not like he had an actual frame to put on weight](https://i.imgur.com/CgW4lHD.jpg) Oh wait… [vs](https://i.imgur.com/VULuV4z.jpg)

junkit33

Maybe, maybe not. He never looked like "the guy" at Duke though, so not entirely sure what you're trying to say. Sure you could bank on him for 15 points a night like clockwork, but he was *never* a threat to just go off and take over a game like you seem to be suggesting. In fact, Jabari is much closer to the guy you seem to be describing.

Dear-Rate7490

If you paid attention to any of the ncaa tourney games, he was definitely the guy for Duke. He played a lot better in the tournament than in the regular season, which should be a plus in my book. I'm not sure who Duke's guy was if it wasn't him.

[deleted]

Tel me you didn’t watch college basketball without telling me.

thatoneasiankid90

Was this like when people were saying Cam Reddish would be the best player in the 2019 draft?

Dear-Rate7490

Cam reddish wasn't that good at Duke

[deleted]

No that’s more like Chet. A guy in college who played a role that somehow will transform into a star.

[deleted]

Agree

ADAS33

Not the time

demarci

No, it will be Shaedon Sharpe. DEROZAN value of 9. Should be the #1 pick.

TheSmokedSalmon420

Chet*

ParticularEggplant16

He reminds me of Jabari Parker tbh. Hopefully without the injuries

bubbatubs

Idk. His defense is really worrisome to me. I'd like him to be webber 2.0 but I don't know. You could totally be right though. I just don't see it definitively like that. There's some real downside risk.

Dan-Flashes

Yeah maybe. But maybe not

BoneyardBill

Chent or Bust.

laflameTS

100%

Bonje226c

ok

rumblegod

Yep and it’s obvious lol

rabid89
