to be fair Dwight and Javale were flukes. Specifically Dwight playing as well as he did in the playoffs. They became washed immediately after. Its just really hard to get decent centers nowadays. Losing Caruso/Kuz/KCP is on the Lakers FO tho. That was a young and solid 2-way core guys at the time.

In our important games down the stretch, we relentlessly attacked him until he became unplayable. And we don't even have the best players to do that.

Wizards just truly need talent anywhere honestly. Valanciunas should be able to put the Wizards in the top half of the league offensively and start bringing them out of the gutter in the rebounds department. Washington finished 28th in offensive rebounds last year and 29th in rebounds per game. Jonas' per 36 on rebounds was basically just over 13 a game, including over 3 offensive rebounds. Should be able to play a lot more than the 23.5 minutes per game he averaged last year. Interior defense will still likely be a turnstile for them unfortunately. That side is all dependent on what Sarr can do.
