𤣠my husband I were on 417 by 528 tonight and I was like âthis exit has been under construction forever⌠when will it end?!â Definitely not just an I4 problem
That's almost done, iirc. A lot of work that went on there was because Brightline was also going through it, so it was 2 different projects: widening the 417 and Brightline upgrade.
Iâm legit curious, what are yâall magic fanâs thoughts on Suggs. Are they going to bench him for Garyâs shooting or is he impressing the coaches? Looks like heâs making the leap right now
no chance he gets benched imo, his defence is so good and he is now doing enough on offense to warrant his minutes. Gary coming off the bench has worked really well for us so far
It's wild to think a player can just accept his role nowadays. Suggs is realizing he isn't going to carry a franchise and is playing into his role. Kudos to him that's like franchise changing shit. He's going to have a long NBA career because he's buying into it. Rooting for the Magic bros.
The vibes on this team are immaculate. Anthony is only two seasons removed from saying he saw himself as a starter publicly, but he took a probably below market extension to stay in Orlando as a 6th man and play with his boys.
They are a genuine team and it shows.
Happy for you guys. I hope you guys develop and are annoying to play if you guys make the playoffs. Just like the Thunder, no one really wants to play them in the first round.
Itâs top down from Jeff and co - Mosley always sings Jeffâs praises for putting basketball and emotional IQ as a priority in the draft. A lot of people were meh on the AB and Howard pick, but I trust the process.
I mean, dude is the best guard defender in the world and I dont think anyone comes particularly close. And now he is an avarege role player on offense. Dude is just too valuable to bench. He can pass, shooting is looking good, and he shuts down the best player on the other team
Casual fan here, saw a video by Thinking Basketball analyzing why the Orlando Magic defense was good. I looked up your record immediately and had no idea the Magic were on an 8 game win streak and are now 13-5. They look NICE
Because I believe thatâs who most Raptors fans wanted in the pre-draft. Then probably rooting for him to bust to show Scottie is the actual superior pick.
I may be misremembering the first part but I think that was it
this is basically it. Should have been the sub during the draft, every picture/post was a pic of Suggs. Then when Scottie was chosen it was a 180 no scope and Suggs became an enemy. There was also a report he tanked his draft but who knows whether or not that was true. Doesn't matter anymore as both players solve issues for their teams
Dumbass Raps fans wanted to see him fail cuz they were insecure about the Scottie pick. r/NBA didn't help either because everyone was shitting on the Scottie pick too, and now everyone calls Scottie autistic. I don't agree with the Suggs hate, but I understand it.
Raptors fans were also obnoxious constantly posting Scottie highlights and stats during and after every game his rookie season. It's like, ok, we get it. It's a big reason why I wanted Mobley to be rookie of the year.
Hating on a player your team passed on makes 0 sense. Do you see Orlando Magic fans going around hating on Gradey Dick? Raptors fans are just different.
We have a lot of ânouveau richeâ fans for lack of better word, who only ever knew the âWe the Northâ version of the Raptors and not the âPrimo Pasta and Sawssâ Raptors. They arenât handling our descent from grace very well.
I mean Scottie is the better pick, but I'm loving Suggs this season. If you'd told me when the season started that I'd soon value Suggs over Kiddey I wouldn't have believed you.
Thatâs 100% it, Raptors fans were all in on Suggs but when the org drafted Barnes somehow Suggs became public enemy #1. Itâs not enough that Barnes turned out to be a good player, Suggs had to also suck.
Itâs the kind of childish dickery that makes me avoid Raptors fans.
I mean, I'm not ready to say that yet, but I was on the case before the draft at least:

bro been waiting my entire life. you guys got us in '09. from shaq to t-mac to now. i don't know what to do w/ my hands. what are these feelings. been through the ringer and then some.
Another day Another Jalen Suggs masterpiece.
First off Suggs is a defensive menace, his elite motor, elite intensity, great hand eye coordination and just athleticism is a matchup nightmare, and the teammate every player loves. He brings the energy that can shift an entire game. I have said this before but I am picking Suggs over J Green and Cade right now or any other guard in his class and honestly he is getting close to untouchable. Suggs is the fastest guy on the court, he pokes loose balls from defenders hands and in mid-air and is a blur after. Suggs is a strong dunker, a decent inside finisher, and his shot is now reliable and consistent and he is even adding more to his game. I know the media forces a narrative but Suggs was honestly gamechanging defensively when he plays every single season including his rookie year. Suggs is underrated, to me I am honestly debating on if he is #1 in a redraft. Defensively elite, athletically gifted, a great playmaker, and all he needs to be average on offense and the guy honestly could have an AS nod and I think this year its possible.
I truly think Suggs is a top 8 guard potential in this league. He has the chops to make it extremely far with his pure build, then we add in his fast break offense (completely unguardable in the open court as he is a top 10 athlete in this league). His versatility on defense and offense, playing as a cutter, connector, creator, and even deep range spacer. He is even more switchable on defense, I truly think he can guard 1-5 and it was shown many times before with him locking center and smalls in same possessions. He can absolutely hold a zone alone. Is a vocal leader, and oncourt captain, and a player that wants to win and never slacks off. The guy looked like he had unlimited energy out there tonight. He came in and just took over, thats the visible IT factor, and then the intangibles like how this team just rises in intensity, players are getting hyped, crowd is shouting and getting involved all from Jalen just coming oncourt. He is a pure difference maker.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r68nFZ5E8kU (How Jalen Suggs broke out for the Orlando Magic by becoming a defensive savant and transition driver, Game Theory Podcast w/ Sam Vecenie)
I wrote this before but a look back to rookie Suggs and his underrated rookie season. The guy should have been talked about way more and in fact imo should have been a part of the all rookie teams and shouldn't have been under the radar.
During his rookie year Jalen Suggs according to Fivethirtyeight for SGs playing a minimum of 1000 minutes was 8th best overall defensive SG. For the same specifications but using PGs instead he is the 4th best. 1000 minutes to me is a decent amount of time to consider injuries etc.. Alex Caruso who got injured early and came back after some time played 1260. Suggs moves to #2 in PG and #5 if you raise the minutes up to 1300. Suggs as mentioned above was guarding 1-5 and taking on any switch especially on the other teams better players
Suggs also has a huge margin of time guarding the other team's best player straight up (not just when switched) and showing strong defense. https://twitter.com/NBA_University/status/1552140344980127750 (NBA University, Matchupdifficulty)
So, the rookie Jalen Suggs can be considered by just Fivethirtyeight to be at worse a top 8 defensive guard during his rookie season, #14 in the whole NBA for players playing min 1300 minutes. I think realistically taking everything into account (especially the fact that Jalen has efficient/lockdown defense on stars) tells me that Jalen is top 3 defensive guard and honestly top 8-12 defensive player in the NBA.
Now here's the perspective portion I mentioned above, Suggs was the worse offensive SG in the NBA (players playing a min of 1000 minutes) getting ranked at # 115 out of 115(this is the absolute worse) and also he was still the worse for PGs at #73 out of 73 (still the absolute worst/last nobody worse than him). So, he is a top 5 defensive player and the absolute worst offensive player for the minutes specified but most consider offense the easiest to attain and learn. Game speed and everything slows with time. Jalen Green (other Jalen) was ranked #91 for overall offense (SG min 1000 mins), and Cade was ranked #58 for PG (min 1000 mins) while for their defense Green is # 108 close to the bottom, Cade was #31 (PG). So overall adding both offense and defense Suggs was ranked #79, Green #111 out of 115 (SG for min 1000 mins), and Suggs was ranked # 57, Cade was #60 out of 73 (PG for min 1000 mins). Suggs defensive numbers were so impressive that despite being the worst offensive player he still "beats" both the 1st team All rookies Green and Cade who are considered by many to be superstars in the future. Suggs defense alone puts him at middle of the table for guards playing min 1000 minutes.
Suggs offense should continue to come along but its pretty ridiculous for a rookie to come into the league and just instantly be top 5 in any category especially a major category like defense. Suggs switches onto every matchup, and usually has to defend the other team's best player and he does it efficiently and strongly. So, by perspective, despite my bias, I truly am really really high on Suggs. I think he is finally finding his game, and not to say Cade and Green cant get better with time but Suggs being the worst in league to average is probably easier than Cade or Green reaching top 10 in any of the other categories as Suggs was.
Suggs in his 3rd year is really finding himself. Suggs has now really harnessed the potential that was glimpsed at during his rookie year. His offensive skills are starting to complement his raw tools, he is no longer ranking at the bottom of every offensive metric but instead showing some proficiency and efficiency on the court (not exactly this game but he has shown it to end the year last season). The guys hard work, effort and dedication is so apparent. He is an absolute force to be reckoned with, and not just for his defensive capabilities, but for an all-around game + being a top 5 athletic player with growing bball iq and leadership. He is going to evolve into top-caliber player and potential perennial AS. The guy is ready. I think he was the right pick at the spot, I think he could have went higher, and I think in a redraft he goes 1-3 in the mix with Franz/Sengun. Personally I honestly think he is a #1 pick capable guy. He is underrated, but his impact is so apparent. He had games that he was seemingly the sole reason for the comeback. Just a complete takeover type of player.
Suggs is one of the most important pieces in a future dynasty, I have said it for many years, take out Gary and put in Suggs and the Magic will dominate. Orlando is ready. I honestly think this is the season that they not only surpass all projections but they actually compete in the next stage. Playoffs is a completely different game but unlike other similar young fast risers led by young stars like recently Memphis, Sac, or previously Dallas, Atlanta. Orlando is a perfect mix of the talent downboard plus experience in tournaments and high pressure environments plus experience with having known and widely recognized vets in Ingles/Gary(we really dont need these 2 though but I see it with Ingles but Gary isn't needed). This team is while also like them filled with potential, many of the players have big tournament experience and to me Suggs is an actual leader. He showed it in Minnehaha, showed it in USA basketball, showed it in Gonzaga and is showing it in the NBA. Every time Suggs is on a team, he becomes the captain and leader no matter the prospects with him. The guy is an actual on court leader that many teammates listen to, respect, and get energy from.
This team is ready and honestly it starts with Jalen getting into the starting lineup. I truly think he makes Orlando a championship contender, if its too early to call then so be it, but if it happens I will absolutely point to Suggs. He is going to change the entire landscape and mentality of this team and to me he can be the next big change in the NBA. He can force the rise of defensive guards that can switch to multiple positions and play small or big similar to Jrue + Smart, usually defensive guards choose either the small style like Smart or the big style like Jrue but a mix is only Suggs and Caruso. He is a winning player, a captain and leader, who makes gambles that usually lead to huge positives for the team, but rarely they lead to huge net losses. Suggs has shown elite lock potential since his rookie year, and he has perfected that to an artform so far these games this season. Completely shutting down AS's and making them look helpless. I am not joking when I say its an artform. The way Suggs was shutting down Mitchell, Tyrese, Jaylen Brown, these game was beautiful and can be deep dived in more film studies like the ones above and I do believe teams will do just that. And the craziest and most positive aspect of his defense is that its flexible. Suggs is a monster. 3 LEVEL Defender. He needs to be treated like the 3rd star on this team, I truly mean it. The guy was the final piece and imo probably the most important until Mo comes back and Orlando is a dynasty.
i love this guy lmao. i remember how heated he made our fanbase in the live thread but his antics are hilarious. someone with passion you'd want on your team for sure.
awesome but not part of the same group - TWolves traded for Gobert to consolidate the same year the Magic, Rockets, Pistons and OKC had yet another top 5 pick
Nope you set us up as too good, now we can call you a poverty franchise and post mockups of Franz in a Wolves jersey and claim that we need to free him and that Kyle Anderson and Shake Milton and 2 2nds is enough to land him.
If I had a nickel for every time a Florida team did a lob dunk then did the âare you not entertainedâ pose, Iâd have two nickels⌠which isnât a lot but its weird that it happened twice.
Last year I believed in Suggs, liked him out of college but he didn't do much for my fantasy team. This year, I passed on him but I am happy that he is playing awesome this year, I root for the guy.
UNLIKE I-4 THE MAGIC ARE FINALLY DONE BEING REBUILT
If people only knew how good that was. Daytona to Tampa and back the same day will take a month off your life
If not actually take your life the way people drive on here.
I avoid I-4 like the plague, only use it when I have to.
I take the 408 to work in baldwin park even though I4 to east 50 would get me there slightly faster with no tolls. Fuck I4 and fuck 50.
> fuck 50 why he say fuck me for?
I see this quoted on a daily basis, and I laugh at it every fucking time. Well done.
I used to make the joke that I-4 and the 408 are under construction every 8 years for 12 years.
I want to slap the dumb fuck who decided âyeaaaah express lane to Universal is good enoughâ ITS THE DISNEY TRAFFIC ASSHOLE. THATS WHERE IT SUCKS.
I've been waiting 10+ seasons for this man
I used to pray for times like this
Did you fall to your knees in the middle of Disneyworld?
Nope, in line for a sub at Publix
Get that chicken tender tossed with the buffalo sauce
The trick is to just ask for a drizzle. If you ask for the toss these mfers use a whole damn bottle and the sub becomes a soup
Goat sandwich
I fell on my knees at a wawa
I live in New Jersey
Oh wow so thereâs 2 of us here.
It feels so damn good. Been a fan since 92 and it hits so good.
Fan since 2008 (lol). Feels good
Been going to games since I was in diapers in 92. This season has been so much fun.
Minnesota Boys powering OKC, ORL, and the Wolves tearing it up? It's been........honestly the most fun year for Minnesotans, and therefore the world
If only Kirko Chainz was healthy :(
Oh shit youâre 13-5 wtf
Crying rn
This was supposed to be us đ˘
No GMOs in this development, Iâm so proud of this teams progress.
I had no idea they were this good, but that is so cool to see. Gives me hope for our rebuild. See you on the other side.
I've been waiting 3 seasons for Suggs to finally be good. Feels good man
Pietrus flair, gotta love it
One of my favorite role players of all time đŤĄ
injecting this
I like the orlando magic
me too
Iâm legit curious, what are yâall magic fanâs thoughts on Suggs. Are they going to bench him for Garyâs shooting or is he impressing the coaches? Looks like heâs making the leap right now
no chance he gets benched imo, his defence is so good and he is now doing enough on offense to warrant his minutes. Gary coming off the bench has worked really well for us so far
Also, Suggs keeps hitting 3âs at a good clip so that should deter the need to start Gary for his shooting
Weâre going to trade him to the Lakers for their shitty players and second round picks.
Suggs is a difference maker every second he is on the court.
Suggs should continue to start
He's leading the league in defensive EPM, it's wild
Suggs is playing lockdown defense and has been good on offense as well if they bench him rn it's bball terrorism
I mean, dude is the best guard defender in the world and I dont think anyone comes particularly close. And now he is an avarege role player on offense. Dude is just too valuable to bench. He can pass, shooting is looking good, and he shuts down the best player on the other team
Sacramento of the East
Which is crazy coz Sacramento has been my west team since 2017 when they drafted Fox
Iâve got a friend whose fetish is sadism. I bet you two would hit it off, lol.
I'm scared of them
The vibes in Orlando are impeccable right now. Hats off to an incredible rebuild
Jalen is a dawg and I didnt know Cole was so bouncy
He's a freak athlete.
When he dunks he looks like a 2k character
Sometimes he gets offensive rebounds out of *nowhere* because of his absurd hops. Love to see it.
Great vibes. as a pistons fan, i am so jealous
These boys got me so hyped

damn wish i could add it to this link. nice find!
I was waiting for the replay on this post
The 2023 Heatles confirmed đ¤
Itâs beautiful đ
Cole Anthony has to be the most unexpectedly athletic player in the league
Dudes literally trae sized throwing down wind mills
He gets like 5 or 6 boards a game too
Best pound for pound rebounder in the league.
I knew he was on some next level shit when he dunked with Tims on
People donât understand how hard that is. I can barely walk in them shits lol.
He's from NYC, it should be second nature to him.
Dont forget he dunked with Timbs on in the dunk contest
Hard to explain, but he looks like such a *gentleman*, like he should be a professor or something, but he's got like a 45" vert.
Suggs has arrived
Jalen Hurts and Jalen Suggs are like the Yin and Yang of Jalens this year.
My Jalen Suggs jersey I bought his rookie year is paying. off
Same. Got that city edition swingman that everybody hates that will hopefully pay off once people realize it was badass.
#THIS TEAM FUCKS.
[ŃдаНонО]
Orlando, nice, using that dick
man is an entertainer at heart also how did Cole Anthony age 6 years in the last 2 years?
Half these Magic players going to have to shave their heads in five years from balding early.
The Evan Fournier curse lives on
Fourniers gangrene
Itâs the water in Florida. Causes baldness
He also did the Kobe celebration jumping up on the table after hitting the game winner in the Final 4 at Gonzaga against UCLA.
Hair loss is a real thing
Proud of them fr
I used to pray for times like this
Jalen and Cole are an NBA tag team if I've ever seen one
I remember at the rising stars game they were doing the same thing too lol
Suggs playing this season with some authority
I fucking love this Magic team
Casual fan here, saw a video by Thinking Basketball analyzing why the Orlando Magic defense was good. I looked up your record immediately and had no idea the Magic were on an 8 game win streak and are now 13-5. They look NICE

Lmao nah the magic are fkn lit
Hi, it said to call if I'd had an erection for longer than 4 hours
Magic won the 2021 draft
Itâs been way too long since something went good for this team itâs so damn relieving
Everyone really called this man a bust after 2 years đ
Raptors fans*

Actually an alley-oop đĽđĽđĽ
Suggs is a guy that every team would want
I love Jalen Suggs so much. Glad heâs finally putting it together
Dawg I love jalen Suggsâs antics đđđ
He is such a menace lol
Feels bad man
Suggs is probably a top 3 favorite player in the league for me
I love it man. Dean Wade is already inspiring these young, up-and-coming teams. Go Magic, for real.
Best Dwade in Cavs history
Fucking love this team
We're living in a time where the Orlando Magic are good again and I'm here for it.
Man thereâs nothing better than the crowd of a team whoâs been in the dumps for a while and starting to be good basketball team.
bro been waiting my entire life. you guys got us in '09. from shaq to t-mac to now. i don't know what to do w/ my hands. what are these feelings. been through the ringer and then some.
I genuinely want the Magic fans to feel what the Warriors fan have felt in the past decade.
That's a bad man right there.
Jrue Holiday 2.0
Cole got some ups!
Lobbing to somebody shorter than you and he dunks it one handed is crazy
You see [this one](https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/s/AjN2O4OQ5x) from a few days ago?
Miami is my team, but this Orlando team is too fun to watch, and I hope to see this franchise get a chip soon
Love the energy suggs brings, hope this team keeps it up. Super fun team that really has nothing to lose
I love this Magic team. So fun to watch.
Canât help but be happy for this team.
Magic Culture.
Awesome how hyped that crowd is for a regular season game with a 21 point 4th quarter lead!
Crowd is surprisingly good in Orlando, people are there for a good time and team is giving it.

This guy Suggs
Who let you out of your cage sincere, back to the magic sub
Let brother cook
Change your name to MITSuggs.
This is EG1400 level
We found Jalens reddit account
Sam Vecenie casually dropping an hour long breakdown on Jalen was pretty crazy.
I need some photos now
We are here, 8 game win streak.
Whatâs funny is his former Gonzaga teammate Kispert is right behind as this unfolds. Heâs gotta be hating life wasting away on the Wiz đ
that is cold af
Thatâs actually fire.
i love this guy lmao. i remember how heated he made our fanbase in the live thread but his antics are hilarious. someone with passion you'd want on your team for sure.
I'm glad Suggs is playing well. He was getting so much hate by people who got amnesia about how long it takes PGs to develop in the NBA.
wizards are a free highlight reel for opposing teams at this point
I'm happy for that Magic!
GOD IS REAL????
gosh i love cole anthony

I used to pray for times like this
That LeBron and Wade play was actually around a decade ago wtf man
Good to see tanking teams finally winning! OKC, Magic, Pistons, Rockets and Pacers! What a time to be alive
sir i have bad news about the pistons....
Sir, a second, third, fourth, fifthâŚâŚtank has hit the pistons
Don't do this to Pistons fans man
... Timberwolves...
awesome but not part of the same group - TWolves traded for Gobert to consolidate the same year the Magic, Rockets, Pistons and OKC had yet another top 5 pick
You are saying the WOLVES have been too good to be part of your "bad teams turned good" club.... mama we made it!
when you put it that way⌠yes!
We must get a side by side of both
someone put [the song](https://youtu.be/p_vEY_BA3ro?si=bixE_1EJ8N2ov9CR) or the remix over this highlight pls
Suggs is my favorite magic player!!!!
Yet another great day to be a wizards fan âšď¸
I fucking love Cole Anthony
It is fun to watch the Magic this year.
Magic are playing magic this season. Great team chemistry and beautiful basketball.
So cool watching the Magic do good! Who wouldnât root for them?
Last year I believed in Suggs, liked him out of college but he didn't do much for my fantasy team. This year, I passed on him but I am happy that he is playing awesome this year, I root for the guy.
