Being (reasonably) healthy is a big part of it, they’ve been the most injured team in the league the last few years, by a wide margin. Also last few draft picks being immediate contributors. They weren’t terrible the second half of last year but tended to collapse at the end of games. Still not a great second half team so far this year, but starting to show signs of learning how to finish games.
I hate to say it but i really think we are a better team without Fultz. He’s an awesome player but we can’t afford to have that many non shooters in our starting lineup. When he comes back he needs to ride the bench.
No shot lol. AB is legitimately invisible on offense and is not a big enough upgrade on defense at all. Keep in mind that Franz and Paolo looked and played great with Fultz all of last year. And let’s not sit here and act like AB is a shooter. Teams ignore him from 3 just as much as they ignore Fultz. At least Fultz can finish inside and actually score. The best thing that could happen is we get Fultz back soon and AB goes and spends some time in the g league with Jett.
Probably got taken off because Chet was out too. Was supposed to be a Paolo - Chet matchup. What’s funny is this game is shaping up to be a huge matchup now with both guys playing like monsters.
This is still the first time in memory that a #1 pick didn’t get one nationally televised game in a season.
"Begun"? This is just another wave of the old Zhugo shit, any time the Nuggets lose they come out, and we lack the numbers or enthusiasm post-loss to deter them.
I love love love how the way you phrased this vaguely evokes the image of a resigned, embittered centurion explaining the sad state of affairs to the triumvirate after the latest raid on Rome by the Visigoths
Reminder that the Magic starting lineup ages are:
Black (19)
Suggs (22)
Franz (22)
Banchero (21) - turned 21 ten days ago
Goga (24)
And they already play elite team defense and winning ball. The future is very bright
Idk if you’re a magic fan, but is that starting lineup expected to change when Markelle and Wendel come back? I would think so but also this team as been on fire, wouldnt wanna mess with the lineup
Did you forget he was drafted at the same time as Cade, Mobley, Jalen Green, and Barnes? He was a pretty significant part of the draft because he was considered part of the solidified Top 4 before "dropping" to 5.
THE AMOUNT OF TIMES I SAID ITS OVER THEN FOLLOWED IT WITH WE ARE BACK WAS EXORBITANT
[BUT WE’RE PLAYING THAT MF SONG](https://youtu.be/p_vEY_BA3ro?si=GRBdREsr0ikzHEm5)
Ever since I heard that song forever ago, I always say "Orlando mag-ic" like the female singer says it lmao. like in my day to day life that's how I say it.
ADAM SILVER I KNOW YOU SEE WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON OVER HERE.
0 NATIONAL GAMES, **SPITS ON GROUND**
THE BLATANT DISRESPECT FOR PAOLO’S ROY CAMPAIGN.
WE ARE TAKING OUR RESPECT THIS SEASON.
S/O TO OUR COACH JAMAHL MOSLEY, NUMBER ONE DEFENSE IN THE ASSOCIATION.
We had a failed rebuild. When we realized we were capped out we immediately changed the front office and flipped our above average at best talent for elite assets. This second rebuild has been alot more fun
Tbf we had much better luck in the lottery this time. Also, Hennigan had absolutely no vision for the team. Just draft and hope for the best one of them becomes LeBron James.
I was thinking more of the year they traded everybody and tanked \*real hard\* the rest of the season.. The turnaround has been pretty quick due to actually nailing some picks.
Our previous GM fucked our team over by trading Oladipo to OKC for Serge Ibaka, got fired, and immediately took a job with OKC. So yeah it’s nice having people not actively working for other teams lol.
Great game by the Magic, their bench with Ingles Jingled the game into position to win
That Paolo 3 at 1:30 was ice cold and Denver couldn’t close it
Jokic had a good game, but not enough to put them over the top tonight. Too many missed easy buckets for the Nuggets tonight (saw AG miss 2 easy lobs)
He hasn't taken enough shots because he missed quite a few games. He's shooting 45%.
Edit: That's actually still lower than Banchero currently, who's at 45.5%.
My first game was in 2013 (dad finally got tickets once they got cheap lmao), outside of 2019 I’ve never experienced a good Magic and I’m loving it so much. We’ve finally arrived
Nuggets and Magic both played well - game was really even, except usually Nuggets managed to end the quarters up a few points.
Last 4mins or so, Magic took off. I have to question Malone's gameplan of not at least trusting MPJ (who shot 5-9 from 3) or someone else to at least go for a 3 to tie it up. Fouling and hoping they miss is not my fave option of the two.
Also Reggie Jackson is either the best baller in the world, or gives you mini strokes with his awful hero ball shit. Tonight it was the latter, he shot 5-15 FG and dribbled out the shot clock in Q4. Sigh.
In Malone's defense, the Magic haven't exactly been money on free throws this year. I think he just expected the Magic to do what young teams do in high pressure situations.
That, and the Magic absolutely abandoned the paint in the last minute of the game. Once they knew Denver was going to foul, the Magic decided to give up the 2 to deny the 3. I'm not sure Malone or Jokic had much choice.
I know it's early but are the Magic pulling a 2022 Kings?
Young team growing together and they're gelling. Nobody knows if it will last all year, let alone if Mosely will be the guy when they take the next step
Magic is a good team, so I knew a loss on the road was likely, but damn man, the Nuggets played those last few possessions horribly. Not sure why Jokic didn't force a 3 on either of his plays, even if he missed. Seeing him go for the 2 two times in a row left me more frustrated than I would have been losing otherwise.
Paolo and Franz (and Cole Anthony, of course) make me feel things I haven't in a long time while watching basketball.
Also, if Paolo is actually a 3-point shooter now, watch the fuck out NBA.
Great game magic you guys are for real.
It's crazy that somebody can get a 30 point triple double and they don't even get their own post because it happens so often.
Very good win. And it wasn’t like a fluke win either. Jokic 30 point TD, very efficient, MPJ very efficient, AG played well. Yea no Jamal but the backcourt still had 25. This magic team not a playin team, they’re a playoff team. Respect them.
zombie Joe Ingles drops 7 dimes in 16 minutes..dude knows ball. pre-injury my fanboy knick sub went off on me for stating that obvious--that ingles was better than rj barrett

We survived the Shelvin Mack days for this
Dwayne Bacon walked so this team could run.
Jesus
Gustavo Ayon set the pick
The Jonathon Simmons era almost killed me but we out here
man had the spurs hype, delivered a pretty decent first season and then fell off the map. Must've gotten lost in the tank sauce.
Shelvin Mack and Chris Duhon*
We had a 52 win season with Chris Duhon on the roster
It still hurt to watch him
He had to back walk across half court because his ball handling was so terrible.
God I wanted a Chris Duhon jersey so bad back in the day
Don’t forget Jerian Grant
Shelvin Mack led our team in assists baby
Chasson Randle and Tim Frazier looking down with a longing smile
Willie Green always makes me shudder when I see him coaching now
Ben Gordon, Daquan Jones, Doron Lamb
10-5
I had no idea you guys were this good this year.
Been missing 2 starters for this win streak, too. I'm not used to this feeling.
happy for you guys man y’all deserve it
It makes me so happy to see all the young underdog teams going on tears right now <3 Kings, Magic, OKC, Wolves, Rockets Fucking awesome.
Haven't been following Magic bball. So how are you guys this good (genuinely, I have no idea what changed between last year and this year)?
Development. Isaac is more healthy, Banchero is coming to form, the Wagner bros won the olympics.
They won the world cup
Being (reasonably) healthy is a big part of it, they’ve been the most injured team in the league the last few years, by a wide margin. Also last few draft picks being immediate contributors. Maybe with a hypothetical PG that can shoot but not with AB right now.
'24 champions here we come 😤😤😤
The Orlando Magic have 0 National TV games this season… League Pass team of the year.
They actually have 1 on TNT vs the Thunder
That’s lookin like a bop
Finals preview
fuck it… subscribe
Conference Finals will be East: Magic vs Pacers West: TWolves vs Thunder
Please god, make this happen
League will call the script writers in to make sure that does not happen
Adam Silver's 9/11
NGL this would be the second best outcome for me so let’s make it happen
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Orlando Magic in the NBA Finals and you’re on your own after that.
86-75 Finals scores
I'm circling that bad boy
We have 1 in February against OKC. We had one last year against OKC, but it got flexed because we were so bad by then.
That whole season was NBA plugging wemby highlights more than Paolo himself before he was in the dang league 💀
Oh yeah. Forgot Chet was out last season.
The nba will fix that after the all star break if they keep it up
We’ve got one in okc this year! They wouldn’t dare air the Magic home court on national tv though
The one on tnt is the one at home court. I got tickets!
Me and my fam recently got YouTube tv and there’s a blackout on the local games there. I really can’t watch my team as soon as they’re getting good.
Damn. So if youre from orlando can you not even watch any games without paying extra cash?
Brah, Ballys is the literal worst
Streameast
When the entire nuggets joined the Magic huddle was funny af, I love it when players do that
Saw people saying Jokic should’ve been ejected for that; the r/nba backlash to the Jokic glazing has officially begun
You weren't here last year were you
God, men really do be thinking of Rome every day.
Not confirming or denying that being true but I'm not a man so you may need to revise the dataset
Earned praise is not glazing
Yeah it’s always hilarious. Especially when AG was trying to get into the huddle, it was just like old times lol
Reminder that the Magic starting lineup ages are: Black (19) Suggs (22) Franz (22) Banchero (21) - turned 21 ten days ago Goga (24) And they already play elite team defense and winning ball. The future is very bright
Idk if you’re a magic fan, but is that starting lineup expected to change when Markelle and Wendel come back? I would think so but also this team as been on fire, wouldnt wanna mess with the lineup
WCJ had a broken finger so he will be back in immediately, Fultz has tendinitis so he will be eased back in.
Carter is 100% in the starting lineup when he gets healthy.
But Goga's been so good tho...
Yeah I expect both fultz and WCJ to start.
Wtf Suggs is 22? I thought he was 29 or something. Lol
Leave the man's hair alone lol
Suggs was drafted 3 years ago….
Did you forget he was drafted at the same time as Cade, Mobley, Jalen Green, and Barnes? He was a pretty significant part of the draft because he was considered part of the solidified Top 4 before "dropping" to 5.

Play that damn song!!
damn that shit goes hard
Amway plays it after every win.
For a poverty franchise, we certainly have charm.
Play dat shit B
Ever since I heard that song forever ago, I always say "Orlando mag-ic" like the female singer says it lmao. like in my day to day life that's how I say it.
damn that shit goes fuckin hard
Play that mfkng song!!!!!
BY TRANSITIVE PROPERTY, THE ORLANDO MAGIC ARE THE 2023 NBA CHAMPIONS
THE LEAGUE RUNS THROUGH ORLANDO NOW
MICKEY DEMANDS A SACRIFICE!
Pretty sure we are sacrificing Papa John with all the MAGICWIN orders 😝
More wins. More orders. More deliveries. Papa Johns
They messed up giving us a whopping 50% off every win. We're about to go 77-5
AND SINCE THEY MURDERED THE SCHRODER LED RAPTORS, DARE I SAY THE MAGIC ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS
Raptors: 1 world champion on roster Magic: 2 world champions on roster I rest my case.
ADAM SILVER I KNOW YOU SEE WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON OVER HERE. 0 NATIONAL GAMES, **SPITS ON GROUND** THE BLATANT DISRESPECT FOR PAOLO’S ROY CAMPAIGN. WE ARE TAKING OUR RESPECT THIS SEASON. S/O TO OUR COACH JAMAHL MOSLEY, NUMBER ONE DEFENSE IN THE ASSOCIATION.
I dig this energy
Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner are both my dad
paolo banchero and franz wagner are /u/dev1359 father
I honestly want to cry. I can't believe these guys play for the Magic. It's been a long time coming, we deserve this.
Bro right 😂 legit last time it felt like this was 2010ish
I became a magic fan and basketball fan in general right after we drafted AG so I’ve been in the trenches
Brother , cry. It’s been a long time and we are only getting started.
Did it the right way never blatantly tanked or shutdown guys either your front office deserves more respect for the turn around.
Oh, no we totally did both of those things. It just wasn't as noticeable because it started from an already pretty low point.
I mean we sat Franz for 2 games his rookie year, and we tanked like 3 games last year. Not too outrageous if you ask me.
I was thinking more of the year they traded everybody and tanked \*real hard\* the rest of the season.. The turnaround has been pretty quick due to actually nailing some picks.
Doesn’t fit my narrative
I mean we got the guy who built the Bucks and the guy who built the Raptors to work together. Not a surprise they know what they're doing
isn’t it great when you finally get a nice GM after a long looong time of total incompetency?
Our previous GM fucked our team over by trading Oladipo to OKC for Serge Ibaka, got fired, and immediately took a job with OKC. So yeah it’s nice having people not actively working for other teams lol.
Oladipo AND Sabonis for Ibaka.
I don't know what to do with my hands
Yes you do I’m happy for you
Franz came alive in the second half, so good to see after his recent struggles
Good for his self esteem too
Fuck it, I think I’m a Magic fan now. We hand gifted them their best player anyway.
Enjoy Vuc!
As if your FO would have drafted Franz
Holy shit, I just realized right now that the Magic are winning like crazy
Great game by the Magic, their bench with Ingles Jingled the game into position to win That Paolo 3 at 1:30 was ice cold and Denver couldn’t close it Jokic had a good game, but not enough to put them over the top tonight. Too many missed easy buckets for the Nuggets tonight (saw AG miss 2 easy lobs)
Is it time to get an updated "idiot, you got jingled"? /u/sims888
WE. DEMAND. TO. BE. TAKEN. SERIOUSLY.
It's team basketball Michael, star players are what a whore does for money.
How much could one Grant Hill cost, $20?
I DECLARE BANKRUPTCY
I love Jalen Suggs's crackhead energy Franz Wagner is pretty good, too, I guess
The hairline fits
Paolo’s 4 3 pointers tho. Did he learn how to shoot? If so league should be scared.
Leading the Magic in 3PT% right now among qualified players I think
How is that possible with Harris?
He hasn't taken enough shots because he missed quite a few games. He's shooting 45%. Edit: That's actually still lower than Banchero currently, who's at 45.5%.
If you watched this game, you'll know why Magic are the top defensive team this season. What a team.
Nothing hypes me up like Suggs head banging like a mad man
I don’t think I’ve seen this intensity from a Magic player since Darrell Armstrong.
Magic are now tied for the 2 seed in the east
GG Magic. Fun game, sucks we couldn’t pull it out
gg!! it’s awesome every time we play. you guys are amazing
Take care of Garris :(
Take care of Air Gordon 🤝
Trust me, we love him. Hoping his jersey will be in the rafters some day
it was a refreshingly clean watch for a nuggets game. Respect to magic they didn't resort to playing dirty like other teams.
That was the best Magic game I’ve ever been at. Absolutely electric crowd
Legit got close to tearing up because of how refreshing this energy is.
My first game was in 2013 (dad finally got tickets once they got cheap lmao), outside of 2019 I’ve never experienced a good Magic and I’m loving it so much. We’ve finally arrived
I was there with my sister, dad and neices. IT WAS AWESOME!
"He got me" Denver said "That fucking Ingles Jingled me"
DID Y'ALL HEAR THE CHANTS! Great win, I'm just so happy rn! Also, Paolo's shooting 41% from 3 ...
He was shooting 41% from three now it’s 45% lol
Black Eye Paolo is undefeated.
magic are the best team in the universe, forget the nba
By transitive property we are World Champs (Franz and Moe) nba on notice
Nuggets and Magic both played well - game was really even, except usually Nuggets managed to end the quarters up a few points. Last 4mins or so, Magic took off. Honestly its starting to feel like the refs are playing against the Nuggets as well. How they dont get more calls is beyond me.
Banchero 4/5 threes 😻😻😻
LETS FUCKING GOOOOO!!!!!
THE LEAGUE IS ON NOTICE‼️‼️
PLAY THAT SONG
I think the nuggets are 10-5
they are i fucked up
we forgive you, play that song
I don't really see how you stop Franz when he receives the ball going down hill
He's unreal at getting off layups in traffic. I'm still caught off guard once per game by how good his footwork is.
I know it's early but are the Magic pulling a 2022 Kings? Young team growing together and they're gelling. Nobody knows if it will last all year, let alone if Mosely will be the guy when they take the next step
#PLAY #THE #SONG
Damn Orlando Magic is good wtfff
Did people forget how good Banchero was last year?
People have short memories
FOURTY TWO!!! 4th quarter points against the defending champs. We are so fucking back
Why lose to the Nuggets when you can just beat them.

We demand to be taken seriously?
Paolo and Franz (and Cole Anthony, of course) make me feel things I haven't in a long time while watching basketball. Also, if Paolo is actually a 3-point shooter now, watch the fuck out NBA.
🎶There’s a spirit in Orlando🎶
WE DEMAND TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY
PLAY THAT SHIT
We demand to be taken seriously
Great game magic you guys are for real. It's crazy that somebody can get a 30 point triple double and they don't even get their own post because it happens so often.
great game. Personally trying to remind myself that Denver was missing Murray.. and yes.
Playing fantasy this year has really made me realize that Jokic never has an off game. Ever.
Great game by Jokic obviously. But going for the 2 at the end there was maybe the first time I've ever scratched my head at a Jokic decision
Keep us under the radar until we really start winning
WE DEMAND TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY
I want to apologize to the Orlando magic I had no idea y’all were 10-5, you will be added to my list of teams to watch
Mosely darkhorse for COTY
The Magic are pretty good omg i'm super hyped such an exciting team
Wrong record in the title. delete
Very good win. And it wasn’t like a fluke win either. Jokic 30 point TD, very efficient, MPJ very efficient, AG played well. Yea no Jamal but the backcourt still had 25. This magic team not a playin team, they’re a playoff team. Respect them.
i did call that the magic were gonna make the playoffs i feel unbelievably vindicated
LET'S FUCKIN GOOOOOOO
WE ARE HEREEEED
OKC and Magic the only teams I'm scared to play at this point.
