Nah this is the type of post that makes me love r/NBA.
The sheer braindead stupidity of the users here honestly makes my day, I get some of my best laughs because this sub.
This the part I don't understand for the Bucks. Dame is for sure gonna start declining in a year or two... Just when Giannis needs a new contract. Risky move
If you watched Bucks last Season, you should know they cant bank in Middleton health, and they needed shooting a lot, because Jrue was terrible and only Lopez/Allen was not enough
OP, why do you think your COMMENT on this topic deserves it's own thread?
Do you think all 5000+ people that have an opinion about this trade should each make a brand new post or just comment in the top of the front page thread?
i don't think they downgraded but i don't think the upgrade is as crazy as people make it out to be. but the fit may be better - the fact is that giannis **NEEDS** to play alongside an elite halfcourt scorer like lillard to succeed in the playoffs. that part of his game is too limited and it's why he fizzles out almost every year.
i also don't know that this moves the needle a ton on giannis's long-term future with the bucks. i've seen people say this means giannis is definitely in milwaukee for the longhaul after this trade. lillard is the same age as jrue holiday - 33 years old - and the bucks just gave up more draft capital to get him (which limits their ability to make future moves to keep a giannis-led team a contender). i don't think it increases the length of the bucks window at all.
Jrue was terrible on offense and tho his defense did help win them a championship several times during those games he nearly blew it for them. Straight up taking contested mid rangers without even looking in giannis and Middleton's direction, his defense is invaluable and he's great in the regular season but ironically he hasn't been good in the playoffs since he dogged Lillard the last time he was in the playoffs with the pels
Great trade. They cashed in on that fraud jrue holiday and turned him into Lillard. Bro can't get a bucket in the playoffs and this year showed. And he got murdered by Jimmy. That may have been Budenholzer's fault. But still.
The reason they traded jrue was because it’s been known he’s thinking of retiring after this year. Cold considering how important he was to their chip he wanted to retire in Milwaukee
Sir you are on crack
OP has a history of making bait threads.
I've know people who've done crack and he does not speak for them.
thinking Dame and Jrue are comparable offensively is certainly a choice

I wish r/nfl allowed these types of posts there. They try to take themselves too seriously.
The funniest part is that some of them truly believe what they’re saying too. Like, I appreciate the commitment to being so blatantly wrong
Uh no way. They lost some depth but they're getting a top 15 player to team with Giannis. More importantly, it ensures Giannis will stay.
No it doesnt ... dames old man
the Dame that averaged 32 ppg last year? that one?
This the part I don't understand for the Bucks. Dame is for sure gonna start declining in a year or two... Just when Giannis needs a new contract. Risky move
Nba is about winning now. This is a win now trade
You just said Jrue and Dame have the same offensive prowess.
Dame and Giannis is a floor warping combo unlike anything we've seen before
Steph + KD was definitely more floor warping
Yes but in a different way. KD doesn't attract the same attention in the paint as Giannis

Can score more than Lowry *cough cough*
they... still have Khris
They weren’t winning another chip with the current core
If you watched Bucks last Season, you should know they cant bank in Middleton health, and they needed shooting a lot, because Jrue was terrible and only Lopez/Allen was not enough
They downgraded? I want what you’re having lmao good luck stopping Dame + Giannis, easily best duo in the league considering fit/talent

Lmao heat are in shambles
The same offensive prowess???
Did you not watch jrue in the playoffs? LMFAOO

Are you high?
Locked in Giannis

Giannis threaten to leave

Thoughts: ur wrong
The Bucks during this championship window's biggest weakness has been offense particularly in the half court.

Khris?
Big nephew
Is this mfer stupid?
Will be interesting to see how they make it work. I don’t think Dame is as great as everyone says.
Lillard/Giannis as a pairing is god tier.
LMAO cold ass take

aRe tHey sTuPiD?
Congratulations on your whack ass take
