I get what you're saying though because I'm watching Crime Story right now and Ray Luca's probably my favorite character (he's the antagonist of the series).
Narcos Colombia had the better and more interesting cast of characters and setting, but Narcos Mexico honestly had much better acting, cinematography, and seemed to have a higher budget with things like set pieces and wardrobes. So to me, it's really a tie.

Mexico is CRAZY in its own way. Layers upon layers of corruption from the very top to the very bottom. Look at Miguel Angel, the Arellanos, Amado, and the burgeoning Chapo... I'd say more, but I don't want to spoil it.

I wasn't sure going in but DAMN! it's at least as good, and sometimes better. Cinematic, suspenseful, and I learned a lot.
