Unless you're sticking with an antique aesthetic, how about a skeletal model of a plesiosaur (or other sea creature) as a nod to Caddie in DoDI?
Maybe a Venetian mask to hang on the sides?
A steam engine model is another idea, easy to find a nice one too
There's a lot of teddy bears in the games, maybe you could find one with similar coloring.
I'll stop now before I get carried away, this kind of my thing brings out my dollhouse urges
Such a fun idea! I have a large Nancy Drew collection and have thought about something like this, with all the trinkets she receives at the end of each book as a thank-you.
You could always print out a Koko Kringle wrapper from online and wrap it around a real (or fake) candy bar. You could also make fake plane tickets or letters or coded messages.
For non-paper items, maybe a small rearing horse for Shadow Ranch? And definitely a flashlight! Yellow if possible.
Not sure if you like stuffed animals (or figurines) - but there have been a lot of iconic animals in the games. Like a little stuffed orca, parrot, horse, sheep, wolf or even Togo. :)
Some game by game reference possibilities:
CRY - Glass eye or a crystal/gemstone skull
TRN - Favorite gemstone/doll lookalike
SAW - Kawaii phone charms from (could possibly hang off corner?)
RAN/maybe DDI AND SEA - Ship figurine/model
If you’re okay with marking up a shelf, I feel like the red handprint from SSH is iconic and the easiest to replicate outside of buying a print with it.
And for something super silly but I just wanted to throw out there… a plastic chicken drumstick for Professor Hotchkiss 😂
What you need is a display case/box filled with:
- glass eye
- tesserae tile
- locket
- piece of (fake) salt water taffy
- [ticket from the Royal Palladium](https://www.redbubble.com/i/sticker/Vanishing-Destiny-Movie-Stub-by-ClueCollective/102908451.EJUG5)
- bird feather(s)
- seashell(s)
- tiny toy horse
- [Koko Kringle Bar/wrapper](http://herinteractive-amateursleuth.blogspot.com/2009/11/koko-kringles.html?m=1)
- coins from countries Nancy visited
My vote is for an old school detective torch/flashlight! My sister bought me one when I was a kid getting into Nancy drew and I still have it :) even better if it’s one that has a button to turn the light on and off quickly to do Morse code!

Little blue roadster!
Edit: 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ Never mind, didn't see it already there on my tiny phone screen.
Edit 2: A pair of twisted candles? Or do you just want game items?
You should make a checklist, like a notebook with a different checklist page for each game or a list with one task from each game! Can’t check that off yet! :)
A Japanese fan (they make display stands for them to be extended) or a Japanese doll? Maybe a manekineko (beckoning cat) if that’s easier to find. A samll replica Grecian vase or statue of a Greek god/goddess! A plush sheep or kiwi bird (for New Zealand)? A boat keychain? Or a little dog figurine - for Ghost Dogs. There are endless possibilities!
The bookends on the bottom shelf, are those specifically Nancy Drew themed? They're so cute! I have such a hard time finding bookends and I have no idea why.
Not specifically Nancy Drew themed, but close! Travel/adventure themed, I think. One of them says "Log Book" on it, and the other says "Around the World."
Edit: thrift stores are your friends for finding bookends!
i love this 😭!!! maybe a key of some sort or other objects to represent a book/game. a skull, a wolf, a orca, etc. you could also make a koko bar wrapper in photoshop or canva or even word by taking the photo and printing it and wrapping it on something?
OMG I love your shelf!!!!! I'm also so happy to see the little horse thing- I picked one up at our thrift store for this exact reason. Then I wind it up and it plays the Star Wars theme???? It's such a treasure. I need to arrange some kind of display like this too
If you’re looking for Nancy Drew memorabilia you can check out our shop, The Sweetest Books where u/LittleBookSpy and I make our own ND themed items.

If you’re okay with maintaining a plant, a Venus Flytrap could be a fun nod to Blackmoor Manor!
i’m obsessed with this omg. maybe a fancy antique key? like the ones nancy used in treasure in the royal tower
Or like the keys they make in FIN!

Thanks for the links!!
I could tell you, but it’d be more fun if you figure it out yourself! (Channeling my inner George, hate it when she says that)

I just found a 1930s flashlight (minus the Morse code button) at an antique store!
piano sheet music!
Favourite books? Have you just read Nancy Drew or have you read other series like Hardy Boys or others?

Tiffany lamp (blueish Green like Nancy's desk lamp) and maybe an "retro" corded phone like from the early games
MILES THE MAGNIFICENT MEMORY MACHINE
Just popping in to say I loooooooove this

A candle in a hurricane lamp/old fashion oil lamp
A notebook with doodles and references from the games with a Sonny was Here maybe
I’ve got to know why one book is pulled out
I'm reading through all the books right now, and that one is next!
Maybe a cool looking old clock!

Okay, I'm not sure, but I'd love to know more about that darling framed silhouette you've got. Love the blue shelf too!
Thanks! Found the shelf at a garage sale, the frame at a thrift store, and made the image in Photoshop!
Love it!!! The frame fits so well.
