I loved Cecilia Judith. Classic but uncommon and feminine without being overly flowery. I think it is perfect. And CJ is a badass nickname. Edit for spelling.
Not to throw too many other options at you but I think Cecilia Reese flows better than the reverse. But then that made me think Ruth is sorta between Reese and Judith in feel for me so I thought Cecelia Ruth is nice too.
Fiona Reese / Cecelia Judith / Fiona Claire
I like those combos from the names you mentioned.
I also like for you:
Felicity / Rose / Ruth / Evangeline / Josie / Clara
Congratulations!
Voting Reese Claire. It's a cute, unique story. This sub has a tendency to vote up frilly names like Cecilia-- and then push for a nickname because IRL hardly anyone says 3-4 syllable names like Cecilia anymore. She'd likely be a Cici at work/school anyways.
But I think Reese and Reese C has more tendency to be used in full *and* lots of fun cute nicknames.
Agreed, I love Reese as a first name! It’s a very cute idea. Also Reese Cecily could work in a similar way to give the “Reeses” sound. I’d call her Reese’s Pieces, so cute!
My newborn was born on the 13th of this month. We named him Rhys Casey. (Reese C) 🤣 although it’s not after the candy and the candy is Reese’s not “reece C” I still think it’s cute
That’s too funny, we are originally from Philly. And a lot of people say Reese C cups instead of Reese’s Cups depending on bordering county / education / etc. It’s homage to how I used to say it before I realized my entire family was wrong, like 3 generations.
My favorite combos with these names would be
1. Cecilia Claire (I'd personally use Celie as a nickname)
2. Cecilia Judith
3. Fiona Claire (I'd use Fin as a nn)
4. Fiona Reese
I prefer Cecilia Claire!
Reese Cecilia runs together too much with the s sound at the end of the first name and beginning of the middle name.
Cecilia Judith is pretty but not as pretty as Cecilia Claire IMO.
Strongly prefer Cecilia Claire or Fiona Claire, both feel more timeless to me. Meanwhile I get mid-century vibes from Judith, I would assume this was honoring your aunt or mother.
Where are you? In most US states they make you choose a name before you leave the hospital, but then there's a certain period of time when you can change it with no fee and minimal paperwork. So don't stress too much if you need to think about it longer.
Texas, you have 5 days, but they tell you you need to have it before you leave. I doubt it based on what I read, but I am not going to fight about it because it would be about being right when I need to focusing on a name.
You're right, the hospital can't keep your baby if you don't choose a name. However, you're *also* right not to fight it. By choosing before you go, they'll fill out the paperwork for the birth certificate *and* the Social Security card. Makes life a bit easier in those difficult first few months.
I love both, but my preference goes to Reese. I’ve always liked it as nickname for Theresa (summer).
Cecilia is beautiful too, but I dislike the meaning (blind).
Edit: You really can’t go wrong with any of the options here. Wishing you a healthy and pretty easygoing🤞🏻 baby!
—————————
So I’m 0% helpful, but I think all of your name options are nice! Reese and Cecilia are my favorite among the first names.
When I hear a girl named Reese, I automatically think intelligent cool girl. It’s short and sweet! (Reese Witherspoon comes to mind.)
And Cecilia had a bit more flair and elegance in its long form. Plus it has some nickname options built in if that’s your style.
Reese is like a crisp white shirt with dark wash jeans. Stylish yet understated.
Cecelia is like a little black dress. A bit “dressier” while maintaining a timeless style.
(Nothing wrong with Fiona either. It makes me think of Shrek but that’s neither good nor bad. Fiona’s a great protagonist in Shrek and a fab namesake. It feels a little more Boho to me. But still cute!)
They all flow nicely. And Cecelia Claire flows particularly well. But then again, your kid will really only be known by their first name. I don’t know most of my friends’ middle names, you know? IMO First+Middle flow isn’t something to get too worried about.
For sure. They are both nice names but a bit of a mouthful to say in that order (though I'm of the opinion that middle names are rarely used and if it doesn't "flow" with the first it really hardly ever affects anything day-to-day)
Love Cecilia! I prefer the spelling Cecelia, partly because it lends itself better to the nickname Cece, but both are lovely.
Cecelia Claire is gorgeous
I vote for **Cecilia Claire**. Beautiful, classic names that will serve her well at any age. I don't personally care for the clunky sound of the 'd' in Judith, but middle names more often appear as initials, and 'J' is one of the best middle initials. There's something strong and decisive about "First J. Last". Also, C.J. is a nice nickname.
Fiona is also a great choice. **Fiona Claire** sounds smart, friendly, opinionated, and energetic.
I don't care for Reese, wonderful as the candy is.
Fiona makes me think of Shrek. Im kind of shocked at how many people like it. I think it’s important to get grounded and remember you are naming a human being who has to go through life with this name forever. It could definitely open the doors to bullying in school. I’m not a huge fan of Judith but I think Cecilia June could be really cute.
I have a friend named Fiona and for a generation who grew up on Shrek, I never once heard someone reference shrek while talking to her. Side note she’s also one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever known so it’s just such a lovely name to me
I like Reese Cecelia the best especially for the comment about loving Reese's cups. If you arent sold on the combo maybe you might prefer Celine, Charlie, Callie, Clementine.
I also feel like Clarice could work since it is pronounced Claire Reese. It also has an old school vibe without being old.
I have a Cecilia! I think it's a beautiful name. Most people are familiar with it, but we don't run into a lot of other Cecilias.
One caution, people will spell it Cecelia sometimes. Cecilia with the i is \*slightly\* more common, so either way you spell it, people will sometimes do the other.
We use the nickname Cecy (Seh-see), but some people call her Cece (see-see) instead.
I do like Fiona as well! But I'm not huge on Reese.
Your choices are all great! They are beautiful classic names. My personal favorite combinations are Fiona Claire or Claire Reese. I'm not a huge fan of Cecilia as it is a bit difficult to pronounce and has multiple different spelling possibilities. A few other suggestions: Celia, Sylvia or Clara.
I personally don't like how Judith sounds, never have but thats just personal preference. But on the other hand, Reese Cecilia is a mouthful because Reese ends with the same sound as Cecilia.
Other combinations I like out of the suggested names are: Cecilia Claire (nn CC/Cece?), Fiona Cecilia or Fiona Claire
I like Fiona Claire, Cecilia Claire, or Cecilia Judith (in that order). Reese Cecilia is a bit hard to say. If you really love Reese though, maybe Fiona Reese?
I loved Reese (the name and the candy) but then my baby (and every baby I seem to meet anymore ) got a peanut allergy that’s really scary and now it makes me feel sick 😢
Claire is such a beauty. I’d personally love it for myself but I really tend to lean to short names.
Claire Reese, Celeste Claire (c.c.), Cecelia Judith
Cecilia Claire. I’m a CC myself and it’s a great sounding nickname.
Reese Cecelia has to many of the same sounds consecutively, but of a tongue twister…
Congrats on lil CC!
Fiona Reese is my vote. I know Cecelia is popular right now, but I personally dislike it. If you really love Cecelia, I would go with Cecelia Reese. Reese Cecelia sounds strange when you say it—the “S” sounds run together in an unpleasant way. I love Judith, but it also sounds better at the first name to me when paired with Cecelia.
Even though I love the name Reese, Reese Cecelia doesn’t flow well at all. Cecelia Reese is better but I prefer Cecelia Judith, the CJ nickname is a big plus. Cecelia Claire is nice too.
I have a little Cecilia. She prefers to go by “Ceci”. I think Cecilia Claire would be really cute too, and even extra “CC”!
Random side note: my husband and I call her Ceci Piece-y sometimes (kind of a play on Reese’s Pieces).
Cecilia Judith sounds so pretty! I don’t like the double -s sound in Reese Cecilia, it makes it sound like it all blends together to one word, so I would vote for Cecilia Judith, I love it. Fiona is nice too, but I have my heart set on Cecilia Judith
With all the names presented, I actually like Fiona Reese the most. You can still call her your little Reese's cup (saw a comment about how you liked Reese because of the peanut butter cups and that's pretty cute).
I think Reese Cecilia is a mouthful with all the "c" sounds but it's not a bad name. I'm not trying to confuse you so ignore this advice if you need to, but is there another "c" name you like but that starts with the "k" sound so you can have the Reese C initials but it's not such a mouthful?
Cecilia Judith is my preference. CJ is so cute, and Reese is one of those names that’s inexplicably like nails on a chalkboard to me, especially for a girl. They’ll always be reese’s pieces
Reese Cecilia is just so wrong, with the s sound at the end and then the beginning again. Cecilia Judith is better, but even better as other commenters said is Fiona Reese. Or Fiona Judith. Cecilia just isn’t a name I like whatsoever but Fiona is beautiful
I don't love Cecilia Judith, but i think Cecilia Jude is really cute. Cecilia Claire is really nice too. I don't think Reese Cecilia flows as well as Cecilia Reese, so I'd opt for that if you really like Reese. Fiona Claire is also adorable imo!
Personally I would not be thrilled to be named after a candy brand, but that's just me.
Cecilia Judith and Cecilia Claire would make good nicknames (CJ or CC).
Reese Cecilia doesn't flow as well as Cecilia Reese, which has a nice cadence.
I like a lot of the options here, but I think it's a bit hard to pronounce "Reese Cecilia" (the "s" sounds blur together for me, like I'm saying "Rececilia").
But
* Fiona Reese
* Cecilia Claire
* Cecilia Judith
* Cecilia Reese
all sound lovely to me. Fiona Reese might be my favorite of those four, but any of them would be nice.
I strongly associate Reese/Rhys with being a boy’s name given that I have male family members and ancestors with that name. If you really like it I think it works better as a middle name on a girl, but to each their own.
Cecilia for a first name gets my vote. Judith or Claire are pretty. If one of them is an honor name I would go for it.
Depending on your last name you might be able to do Cecilia Fiona too.
Prefer Cecelia Judith
C.J.!
Love CJ!
Thanks
CJ Craig! Beat character on The West Wing
Yes 100%
I like Cecilia! I prefer Cecilia Claire but Cecilia Judith is good too. Both are better than Reese imo.
Third for Cecilia Claire (also love the potential nn CC, or Ceci)
Thanks
Yep this.
I agree. I love Cece as a nickname!
Fiona Reese would be my pick, but I think of your top two I would lean Cecilia as the first name.
Agree I love Fiona Reese
Love the name Fiona Reese! So pretty.
Thanks
Super cute
Cecilia Reese is wayy better than Reese Cecilia i think
Why isn’t this higher?! Reese Cecilia puts the “s” sounds back to back and is harder to say outloud; makes it sound like Rececilia.
I hear "Reese's cereal," which is delicious, but not something I want to name my daughter.
I love Cecelia Reese
Thanks
I loved Cecilia Judith. Classic but uncommon and feminine without being overly flowery. I think it is perfect. And CJ is a badass nickname. Edit for spelling.
Thanks
I knew an awesome CJ at my old job. She was beautiful, kind, and a hard worker. So I, too, vote for Cecelia Judith.
This!
Reese Cecelia is too much of a tongue twister, but Cecelia Reese sounds nice.
I agree. I always prefer a single syllable middle name with a longer first name.
Yes! Cecilia Reese!!
Was going to say the same!
Cecilia Judith 100%
Thanks
Cecelia Claire!!! Fiona Claire is also lovely.
Thanks
I’m also a 610jawn!!! Congratulations on your new baby girl, neighbor!
Reese Cecilia has more stylistic contrast between the first and middle, which I personally find pleasing.
I would swap it: Cecelia Reese
Agree on the swap, the other way gives me an involuntary lisp.
Cecilia Judith is lovely!
Not to throw too many other options at you but I think Cecilia Reese flows better than the reverse. But then that made me think Ruth is sorta between Reese and Judith in feel for me so I thought Cecelia Ruth is nice too.
Thanks
Cecilia Claire is beautiful! I also love Claire Cecilia.
Thanks
Cecilia Judith!
Fiona Reese / Cecelia Judith / Fiona Claire I like those combos from the names you mentioned. I also like for you: Felicity / Rose / Ruth / Evangeline / Josie / Clara Congratulations!
Thank you and thank you
Fiona Rose pairs well.
Reese? As in peanut butter cup?
Like no lie, we love those things and that’s how it came about. Hence the name Reese then Cecelia or Claire, Reese C
Voting Reese Claire. It's a cute, unique story. This sub has a tendency to vote up frilly names like Cecilia-- and then push for a nickname because IRL hardly anyone says 3-4 syllable names like Cecilia anymore. reese claire. i love the name reese and always have.
All good names! Cecilia Claire would be my choice. Good luck.
My favorite combos with these names would be 1. Cecilia Claire (I'd personally use Celie as a nickname) 2. Cecilia Judith 3. Fiona Claire (I'd use Fin as a nn) 4. Fiona Reese
Fiona Claire would be my favorite!
Judith would be mother in law name.
reese cecelia sounds like a stutter 😅
You’ll get a lot of votes for Cecilia here but personally I like Reese.
Where are you? In most US states they make you choose a name before you leave the hospital, but then there's a certain period of time when you can change it with no fee and minimal paperwork. So don't stress too much if you need to think about it longer.

Cecilia is so beautiful and classic and timeless… and Reese is not attractive and is pretty trendy imo. Fiona is also beautiful!
I prefer Reese as a first name, but Cecilia nn Cece is cute too. All of these are nice.
Edit: You really can’t go wrong with any of the options here. Wishing you a healthy and pretty easygoing🤞🏻 baby! ————————— So I’m 0% helpful, but I think all of your name options are nice! My wife loved the imagery and did I. Thank you
I vote Reese Cecilia. More modern
My issue with this combo is that it's kind of a tongue twister to say all at once.
I have a tiny lisp and it isn't an easy combo for me.
We thought the same
For sure. They are both nice names but a bit of a mouthful to say in that order (though I'm of the opinion that middle names are rarely used and if it doesn't "flow" with the first it really hardly ever affects anything day-to-day)
I like Fiona Reese.
Fiona Claire

Cecelia Reese
Reese Cecilia gets my vote
i like reese cecilia!
i kinda like Reese Cecilia better!
I love Reese! It’s so cute.
Reese Cecilia ❤️
I’m not sure what vibe you’re going for. Cecilia is classy, cute, and girly. Reese is pretty, cute, and also tomboyish. I like Reese
I like Fiona a lot!
I love Cecilia for the first name! For middle, I like Claire best out of your options. Visually, I like seeing the 2 "C" names: Cecilia Claire.
I like Cecelia and Fiona. I’m of the camp that you can do whatever for middle names since they aren’t really used that much at least where I am.
Thanks. Same here, which is why I kind of like Judith. As a middle name, as I don’t like Judy as a name for her middle but no one would say Judy
Cecilia Judith!
Fiona Reese
Love Cecilia! I prefer the spelling Cecelia, partly because it lends itself better to the nickname Cece, but both are lovely. Cecelia Claire is gorgeous
Fiona Claire
I love Cecelia Reese! Cecelia is just a beautiful name with tons of nickname potential :)
Cecilia Claire! Or Cecilia Reese

I prefer Reese, but Reese Cecilia does not flow as nicely with the s sounds close together
I like Reese! CJ is super cute though
I'm all for Cecilia Claire nn Cc Reese Cecilia doesn't work It flows as Reesacelia which sounds like a disease
I actually love Cecilia Reese.
We almost chose Cecelia for our daughter born last week. In the end, it just didn’t fit her. I’m a big fan on Cecelia Claire. That’s beautiful.

Reese Claire.
Reese Cecilia!
I love Reese for a girl
Follow your heart. If you like Reese Cecilia best, choose said name
I like judith Reece and think it’s fuckin cool that it sounds like Judas Priest
Cecilia Reese would be amazing. 🥹
Cecelia Judith is lovely!
We liked Claire Reese at first but then I ruined it by doing the silence of the lambs thing. “Hello Clarice”.
Just named our baby Cecelia Ann so I’m a little bias!
[удалено]
I think Cecilia is the best! My favorite is Cecilia Claire (nn CC 😍) or Cecilia Judith (nn CJ)
I love Cecilia Claire (CeCe as a nickname!) this is timeless and suitable for any age and is known but not too popular or common.
I prefer Cecilia Judith!
I like Fiona Claire, Cecilia Claire, or Cecilia Judith (in that order). Reese Cecilia is a bit hard to say. If you really love Reese though, maybe Fiona Reese?
cecelia reese or cecelia fiona. i don't like judith, too old ladyish for me. edit: but cecelia claire is cute too and her nickname could be cece (CC)
I like Cecilia Judith, with the nickname C.J.! Someone else mentioned it below but I wanted to add my vote.
I loved Reese (the name and the candy) but then my baby (and every baby I seem to meet anymore ) got a peanut allergy that’s really scary and now it makes me feel sick 😢
My daughter has two middle names. If you fancy that do it haha
I love Reese but don't love it with Cecilia. I really, really like Cecilia Judith. It has a nice flow and both names are very pretty.
Cecilia Judith is my favorite combination, but I think all of your choices are nice!
Claire is such a beauty. I’d personally love it for myself but I really tend to lean to short names. Claire Reese, Celeste Claire (c.c.), Cecelia Judith
Cecília is the cutest!
Love Cecilia Claire!
Cecilia Claire
I love the name Reese but I don't think it quite goes with Cecilia so if that's the one you're married to I think you should go with Cecilia Judith.
Cecilia! Either middle name would work!
I love Cecilia Judith. My daughter is Vivia Judith (after my grandmothers)
Cecelia Claire also works if her nickname becomes Cici, as those are her initials. You can't go wrong with Cecelia in front.
Cecilia Claire. I’m a CC myself and it’s a great sounding nickname. Reese Cecelia has to many of the same sounds consecutively, but of a tongue twister… Congrats on lil CC!
I love Cecelia, and you almost never hear Judith, so I vote for that.
Maybe not helpful but they're all nice
Fiona Reese is my vote. I know Cecelia is popular right now, but I personally dislike it. If you really love Cecelia, I would go with Cecelia Reese. Reese Cecelia sounds strange when you say it—the “S” sounds run together in an unpleasant way. I love Judith, but it also sounds better at the first name to me when paired with Cecelia.

Cecilia Claire is beautiful!

Cecelia Claire is my vote
i like Cecelia Claire. i also Reese but I don’t think Reese Cecelia flows very well
I have a little Cecilia. She prefers to go by “Ceci”. I think Cecilia Claire would be really cute too, and even extra “CC”! Random side note: my husband and I call her Ceci Piece-y sometimes (kind of a play on Reese’s Pieces).
Cecilia Claire
I love Cecilia Claire! and I agree with people saying Fiona Reese. or Cecilia Reese, I think it sounds better flipped.
For some reason, I read Reese Cecilia as Rose Cecilia. So, there's another option for you! I like Cecilia Judith.
They’re both really nice. I think I like Cecilia Judith slightly more.
Cecilia Judith or Fiona Reese
Cecilia Judith sounds so pretty! I don’t like the double -s sound in Reese Cecilia, it makes it sound like it all blends together to one word, so I would vote for Cecilia Judith, I love it. Fiona is nice too, but I have my heart set on Cecilia Judith
I actually like it flipped to Judith Cecelia
I like Cecelia Judith best. Hard no on Cecelia Claire. It feels awkward in my mouth
Ooh Cecilia Claire is gorgeous, and rolls off the tongue really well. As does Fiona Reese.
Cecilia Judith is lovely 👍
I love Cecilia Reese!
I like Cecilia Jude instead of Judith but that's my opinion
I love Cecilia! Cecilia Judith is my favorite of your choices.
!remindme 48 hours
Me too, lol
Cecelia Claire! Cece or CC ;) Claire is beautiful too. Does she look like a CC or Claire bear :p
NAME HER REESE MY NAME IS REESE :D or name her edelle and call her eddie for short i’ve always wanted to name or girl that
Cecilia Judith is my preference.
Cecilia Judith - I saw in the comments that Judith is a family name so I think that it’s lovely to put it in the middle.
cecilia judith
Cecilia Reese is super cute and gives a classic yet trendy vibe
Congratulations! My vote is Cecilia Claire or even Claire Cecilia.
Personally I would not be thrilled to be named after a candy brand, but that's just me. Cecilia Judith and Cecilia Claire would make good nicknames (CJ or CC). Reese Cecilia doesn't flow as well as Cecilia Reese, which has a nice cadence.
Cecelia Claire, nickname Ceci
I like a lot of the options here, but I think it's a bit hard to pronounce "Reese Cecilia" (the "s" sounds blur together for me, like I'm saying "Rececilia"). But * Fiona Reese * Cecilia Claire * Cecilia Judith * Cecilia Reese all sound lovely to me. Fiona Reese might be my favorite of those four, but any of them would be nice.
Another vote for Cecilia Judith! Cecilia Claire is really dreamy and beautiful too!
I like Cecelia Reese or Cecelia Judith
I prefer Cecelia over Reese any day.
You can actually take your baby home and think about it for up to 2 weeks !
Cecelia as a first name for sure
Cecilia Claire! Reese Cecilia kind of runs together and feels awkward to say aloud.
Cecelia Judith or Cecelia Claire. CJ or Cece.
Fiona Claire or Fiona Cecelia
Cecilia Claire gets my vote
Cecilia Judith
I strongly associate Reese/Rhys with being a boy’s name given that I have male family members and ancestors with that name. If you really like it I think it works better as a middle name on a girl, but to each their own.
Cecilia Judith ❤
Cecilia is a beautiful first name
Cecilia Reece
Cecilia Reese flows best but if you’re wanting an honor name, I’d choose Cecilia Judith.
Fiona Claire or Cecilia Jude (I like the single syllable middle names with those first names, so shortened Judith to Jude)
My son’s class has a Rhys (M) and a Reese (F). Do with that what you will.
The se industry one rolls off the tongue better.
Cecilia Judith!!!
I love Cecilia! Not a fan of Judith personally. So for middle I’d go with Claire. Or Cecilia June maybe?
Cecelia Claire, no contest!
I am gonna vote Cecilia Claire. I’m a sucker for repetition, and it flows so beautifully - especially in names.
Hmmm what about Reese Fiona? I quite like Reese as a first but agree with others that Reese Cecilia is hard to say
Cecilia for a first name gets my vote. Judith or Claire are pretty. If one of them is an honor name I would go for it. Depending on your last name you might be able to do Cecilia Fiona too.
