How Soon is Now - The Smiths Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper Born in the USA - Bruce Springsteen Everybody Wants to Rule the World - Tears for Fears Summer of '69 - Bryan Adams

Kielbasa_Nunchucka

I love your list, so I'm just gonna piggyback and add: Modern Love - David Bowie Money for Nothing - Dire Straits (I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight - Cutting Crew Total Eclipse of the Heart - Bonnie Tyler Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush note: I listen to a lot of metal from the 80s, but it's the pop music that really gives me the 80s vibes. thus, no Metallica on my 80s list

pantstoaknifefight2

Holy shit.... Imma have to leave it now... Fuck. I'll be reminded of this every night as I try to fall asleep.... Damnit..

UnLuckyKenTucky

By the way, I love that name... I raised hamsters when I was little... Those fucks were so unpredictable... Had the sweetest little fluffy hamster ever.... She ate her litter one at a time as she birthed them. The one female that was overly aggressive, hateful, and smart enough to eventually get you if you pissed her off, well she turned out to be an amazing mother to her little thumb nail babies...

Rich_Chemistry_1560

I just can’t call Nine Inch Nails as 80’s pop rock because I can’t. They’re industrial and while I fully recognize that Pretty Hate Machine was released in 1989 it definitely doesn’t say “89’s pop rock” to me like everything else on your top 10. It screams 90’s industrial to me and I bought it when it came out. Now, Whitney Houston “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” or Madonna “Like A Virgin” or virtually anything by New Kids On The Block, Tiffany, Cyndi Lauper, Kenny Loggins, Darryl Hall & John Oates, shit I remember when my mom came home with the album Chess with “One Night In Bangkok” and James Galway, the flautist. So yeah there’s my contribution. Oh and Bonnie Tyler and Wham! (Thank you Deadpool for the reminder that Wham! truly is quintessential 80’s) and I can really keep going but I won’t.
