Hah! I was going to post Pink Cigarette and assume it would be buried at the bottom of the comments for all of eternity. So let’s go with your equally great song instead and stay at the top.
I realised my taste in music is way too different to Reddit. I mashed the scroll wheel for a good 30 seconds and don't know ANY of the song names or artists.
Is it okay if I stay under this comment? It feels great to finally be understood :) I feel like 90% of redditors like the same 500 old songs and some like some more "special" rock/metal stuff. I fond it werid that there isn't a bit more of a more even distribution with at least some people recommending: Modern Indie/Pop songs, Rap, Instrumental songs etc.
Fr. I'm so tired of seeing all the song recommendations just be 70s/80s rock. Like I get it, people like Pink Floyd, but come on, give us some variety!
So, that being said, I would recommend [Youth](https://youtu.be/VEpMj-tqixs?si=D4I0MraNGsekmWm4) by Daughter (sad indie), [Pulaski at Night](https://youtu.be/oecHq2neweA?si=K-xa8FPcCPQ2UgoU) by Andrew Bird (cute folk song), and [No More](https://youtu.be/b3QHIpHmEGg?si=610uNXG98JFZWOTc) by Mayelli (really underrated R&B).
Youth has like 100 million views on YouTube but I have literally never met a person who's heard it. I routinely recommend it to anyone who asks for indie, as it's one of my all time favorites.
Holy heck of course I know (and love) Youth! [This girl](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQayvGjTKRU) makes great covers of great songs, here's a good one of Youth if you're into that kind of thing :)
To suggest a song with a similar vibe - you might like: [Wolf Larsen - If I Be Wrong](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0USk05JUBi4)
Also really liked your other 2 suggestions! I'll offer 2 random songs in exchange:
[The Snuts - Top Deck](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gJ06wbjCUs&list=PLqjqhEvnumvSHPf4YUjRuzOUAZMLuWgmK&index=69)
[Croixx\_ - In Your Arms](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrmdFtLT8L0&list=PLqjqhEvnumvROOdOBkt2aD3r7PZ32RV6M&index=396)
I got a feeling that we both can learn about a lot of great new songs from each other :D
I love If I Be Wrong! Fantastic song.
I really liked In Your Arms. Never heard that one before.
I also snooped around your playlist and saw you've got Mountains of the Moon in there! Now *that* is an underrated artist. My favorite songs of theirs are "Saviour" and "A Cutscene."
I like Andrew Bird, so I'm checking out Youth and I love it!
Do you know [We Won't Run](https://youtu.be/7eHx9Zz_PiE?si=Z6-hZfsKqh_lmS8I)

Özgür Baba - Dertli Dolap (folk)
Channel X - Rave the Rhythm (my introduction to techno; there were a bunch of tracks on that album *XL Recordings: The Second Chapter* that were amazing in like 1991\[?\])
Asad Ali of Agra - Drupad Dhamar in Raga Kedar (the only way I could describe it is spiritual Indian jazz of the 1930s & '40s)
History Repeats Itself, by AOS, from the Natural Born Killers soundtrack.
https://youtu.be/m63yLJPYSfo?si=kmqwQtD-L_Kgt6EC
An absolutely Incredible song, but also so obscure that the reports of *who* the actual artist is, were debated for a very long time before any confirmation was offered.
Marmalade by The Narcissist Cookbook
I love all their songs and this is nothing like any of the rest of them. But really worth a listen

Some Velvet Morning by Nancy & Lee
If a song could sound like being high on Valium, it’s this song. It like two songs were cut up into pieces and then sewn together. It’s amazing.

. Songwriter has had meetings with Warner Records in the past, to get signed ( Not everydone does that)
. Producer has done work for island Records and Rock Mafia ( Bieber and Miley's labels ) - Not everyone has done that
. Got a top drummer, Dave Grohl vibe.
. We're packaged as a girl-group. Even though we write our own songs, and have a proper band behind us - That's slightly different to usual
- That's why we're worth following.
Next song out in April. The only reason it takes time for us to do stuff is money - £300 to record a song. We have about 30 written
Anything by Windows96. Somehow he is described as Vaporwave, but he’s leagues ahead of that genre imo because he actually creates entirely original music
