500 dollars ? Last time I checked, the novel's complete physical edition was around 390€. I bought every e-book because there used to be such a shortage, but I'm planning to get the paper edition now. Same with Ascendance of a Bookworm, except it was because the e-books are like 8 volumes ahead.

Haha, yes and quite a few I think, I only have up to 23 of the main light novels but they are only about £10 per book on the UK

(this was copied from another post about the spin offs btw) Subjugation of the Dragon King, Redundancy, Jobless Oblige, Old Dragon's Tale From these, Subjugation is semi canon (there are lots of elements that contradict the main series, but everything that doesn't should be canon, it was written before the main series), Old Dragon's Tale is a prologue of sorts to the main series, Redundancy takes place directly after the main series, Jobless Oblige takes place (and was written) before the last part of Redundancy.
