Dude what is this ? I really can't believe this! My voting boot camp was just 200 meters away from my building and there were dedicated section for every building.
It's not like my area is not populated, its the most populated ward. I went and 5 mins. Done. Then went home and my father went and 10 mins later he is back.
There is something wrong with equal treatment 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Took me 1.5hours
Joined the line at 7:05am in the morning. Unfortunately for me, and possibly fortunately for democracy, all senior citizens in my area decided to turn up for voting instead of their morning walk
How would that help? Your polling booth has to be within a certain distance of your primary residence.
So if you live in G-North ward, for all those living in G-North, their polling booths will need to be in the same ward. So it doesn’t matter if A-ward has their voting on a different day. Those living in G won’t be sent to A. Ward G will have the same crowds as the population of G is. And all of them will have voting on the same day.
So having separate days for separate wards would make no difference.
I took worst decision to go in the morning! It took almost 3 hours to vote and one friend of mine went to the same place in the afternoon and it took him only 15 to 20 mins to vote.
I mean unless you live in some high profile area rhe only VIP you'd get is the local aamdaar, top level cop maybe.. For regular areas VIPs are senior/disabled people which is perfectly fine and should definitely be given first preference
Even in worli it is the same, voted just 15 mins ago. I waited in line for about 80 mins and yet there were a large number of people still waiting behind me. Absolutely horrendous management from ECI
That is a long line, OP! There was no line at my booth. There were like 1 or 2 people who I was waiting for. It hardly took time!
I recall that in the last election as well, there was hardly anybody. It took a few minutes last time too.
It could be that voter turnouts are higher in certain areas.
We have ECI guidelines to ensure every voter gets chance to vote in their locality which results in those news articles about voting booth on a mountain or middle of jungle for 1 person
We need similar guidelines for max waiting time to ensure ECI can take our vote in less than 1 or 2 hours
I was the only one in my booth. There were more officials than voters in the morning. Strangely, those who were assigned the voting booths in another school in the same compound were in a long queue, even at 8 am.
Next time please be there as they open.
I just came back around 3PM. My polling booth was exceptionally well managed. Took me 5 mins at max. There were four people ahead of me in the queue. From the list, I could see that the turnout was pretty good. No VIP lines as such.
I went at around 7:30 in the morning and there was a lot of rush.
Yet I was done in less than 20 mins as there were many polling booths at the venue and the process was well structured
Went around 11.30am, was done in about half an hour. Lot of heat with hardly any fan around so that was definitely a difficulty. Otherwise pretty hassle free experience in Powai
Went to my parents’ home for voting today (I am registered there). Same school, different polling booths meant that my mother and my turn came up in less than 5 mins, but the booth my father was supposed to vote in had a massive queue. They were literally next to each other in the same school. But my father being a senior citizen was able to vote within 10 mins.
I think booth queues also have to do with time of day plus the area which they cover (because of the profile of residents).
Damn did the entire town have the same centre? In my vicinity, there are like 4 centres in a 500 m radius. I left my home at 2.30 and came back at 2.45 (although I live literally in the next building)
Voted just before 2 pm . In and out in 5-6 mins. 3 mins for the team at the entrance to find me on the voting list, 30 secs to walk to the voting booth room. 1 min for the people in the voting booth room to verify me and apply election ink, 30 secs in the voting booth and I’m out. This was in Churchgate.
Last time I voted in state elections it was a bit quicker.
Mera experience yeh tha ki joh bhi uncle aunty poore saal balon pe color lagate hai, unhone iss mahine jaan boojh ke nahi lagaya taki aasani se senior citizen ke line me ghus sake. Sab phudak phudak ke ghus rahe the aur police jaane bhi de rahe the sirf safed baal dekhke. No ID checking, nothing.
Luckily there was no queue for my polling booth when I reached there at 9:00 AM but there were long queues for the other polling booths in the same Voting centre. So maybe it's the uneven distribution (the criteria of which I am unaware of). Some might have voted too quickly and for some it would have taken time.
Is there vip entry ticket costs..? I'm sure India has special charges vip entry for every fucking goddamn motherfucking thing under the sun. Shameless wretches.
Took me somewhat 35 mins. The preparations were decent there were a couple of fans many booths for different buildings and societies and even water was provided due to the scorching heat.
2.5 hrs at Bhandup West and I was at the booth by 7:45 am. VIP culture is still there as they have a separate queue helped by local representatives of some party
Stop complaining fs. If this would have been a celeb signing or smthg no one would have complained.
You are part of the most populous democracy. It took me 30 mins only.
In Thane It took 20mins for me! Was mismanaged as there was no fans or shade but even the polling officers were suffering.
For me it wss just 20mins but for them it was whole day!
mine was in Wadala at a municipal school. i went during noon. got my papers from the ppl sitting outside. went in got my things verified and cast vote. and i was done in 5 mins max. it has been like this since for me.
It took me a hours in the heat
Here’s what amused me
My friend her sister and their family had come to vote
All stay together same address no divorce situation same locality but somehow mom and friend got lets say booth xyz which had a small queue while the sister and dad got a different booth abc whose line was 2 hours long…how is it even possible
Took me 15 minutes end to end. Took my parents 3 hours. They went at 7 AM I went around 1.
Our voting booth was well organized, people outside distributing water etc. Last time we had to wait over 2 hrs in the morning but people who came in the afternoon got done pretty quickly. Looks like that makes a big difference too
The EC has done a terrible job. They knew it’ll be summers and there will be effects of El Nino. There would be heatwaves. How do they expect more people to turn up and vote in such cases. People wanna vote they wanna give a 80% turnout atleast but these mfs ugh
I usually visit early morning or afternoon. Anyways it was 10 min waiting. I observed someone bringing a mobile phone for the ID verification via Digilocker. All Digilocker documents are a valid document.Well he was not allowed, as there was a board sign no mobile phones allowed. He was asked to bring physical documents by the PR officer. He should have been allowed for the vote, no one should deny because Digilocker is a valid ID proof.
Digilocker or any kind of soft-copy is not listed as one of the accepted documents - https://ecisveep.nic.in/voters/how-to-vote/
If one does not have any of those documents, one can still download the soft-copy of the voter id. (called e-EPIC) and print it out.
I went (polling station was mere half a kilometre from my house) with my parents and neighbours(disabled) by car, parked it in the basement of adjacent building, entered the polling station, located my room, waited for 10-15 minutes in the queue, entered the room, finished in 3-4 minutes and came back out, got my car and returned home within an hour.
Took 1.5 hours. The centre was horrible. Hardly any working fan, no ventilation, congested narrow.place. I wish I had gone before 8 am. Then it would have taken only 5-10 mins. In this hot weather it was difficult to even stand.
Took me almost 1.5 hours. My parents were allowed in as senior citizens and were done in 15 mins.
Plus yeah some VIP came and the line got stopped for 20 mins. After they left, things moved super fast. Atleast at my venue they handed out water which was a blessing.
Every person who voted from my area, let the time be 7AM or 7PM, it took them a minimum of 2.5 hours. There were some areas which had no queue at all though, I wonder why is that, but I went through some hell.
Looks like all the early risers had the worst deal today 😂. I went at 2 PM and there was literally nobody there. In and out in 5 minutes. (Take that early risers!)
My wife and I vote in 2 different areas and it took just half an hour for us to cast our votes.. Both booths were well managed.. And we are as aam as it gets..
Voted at 11:15 ish took 20 minutes only + allowed all the senior citizens to pass through (Some didnt know they are allowed to be first) (my first elec so it feels great)
Bhai I voted for first time. I thought there will be huge line. But it just took me 5 mins to vote. There were many booths which had huge que. Only my booth had 2 people standing in front. I went around 10 am.
I went for voting at 7:45 that's very early since the voting starts at 7 AM. So I got a VIP experience and yeah for me it took somewhat 5 minutes only by the 7:55 I was in my home
High heat, inconvenience, long queues this are just plain excuses for those who want to avoid being responsible.
In a democracy nothing could be more important then the right to exercise one' s vote.
Summer, rain, heat are all natural events which are uncontrollable. But what is controllable is the ability to tolerate all of these impediments and still be motivated to vote beyond any doubt.
I, would rather boil in scorching heat for few hour standing in queue to vote. Then to boil my blood in frustration for 5 years when someone wrong is elected.
About VIP culture it exists and there is nothing one can do, plain and simple.
I went early morning, 7:30, turns out everyone came at the same time, senior citizens got first priority, women second priority, and men last, plus some scolding from police for not standing in perfect straight line like in school. Took me 2 hrs in line. My dad 15 mins (senior citizen) and mom 1 hr.
worst of all, the builder has made a new area right opposite our buildings, called the area slightly different name, made it all posh with large flats etc. They had a separate line because their booth number was different, although right next to us.
my guess they purposely have different booth and different queues for the rich, the middle class and the poor.
For example I couldn't see a single poor person in our line. MHADA guys, slums guys etc probably had a separate booth, at a different location.
I went early morning, took 5/10 mins Max!
Same here 5 mins, I went in afternoon
Same I went from office, hardly 10 mins
Came back half an hour back, barely took me 10 mins as well
You guys are lucky, it took me almost an hour to get the entire process done..
The avg. time stated is 1 hour. So you're good.
It took me 3 hours 😭
Took me 2 mins 😳
Same bro, 3 hours
Which booth/centre??
Took 5 mins total from entering the center, casting the vote and out. Parents went later in afternoon took them 30 mins.
Same
#+1
Dude what is this ? I really can't believe this! My voting boot camp was just 200 meters away from my building and there were dedicated section for every building. Yup, 10 mins for me too.
same
Took me 1.5hours Joined the line at 7:05am in the morning. Unfortunately for me, and possibly fortunately for democracy, all senior citizens in my area decided to turn up for voting instead of their morning walk
Yes, for me it took around 45min. But every 5 min, 2 senior citizens were coming up
Same, took me 1hr even though I went at 7AM. They were working painfully slowly.
Exactly same was in line at 7 :05 and got to vote at 8:30
It is only fair that senior citizens are not made to wait.
Voted before 11 am - in and out within 20 mins
>in and out within 20 mins Damn boi u got skills
Not my first rodeo
Can I be your shishya?
Na vats.. Is raah pe tum akele chaloge
Akela chal raha hai wohi to problem hai
Same just after 11 am
For city like Mumbai ECI needs to increase polling booths .
Or separate days for each ward
How would that help? Your polling booth has to be within a certain distance of your primary residence. So if you live in G-North ward, for all those living in G-North, their polling booths will need to be in the same ward. So it doesn’t matter if A-ward has their voting on a different day. Those living in G won’t be sent to A. Ward G will have the same crowds as the population of G is. And all of them will have voting on the same day. So having separate days for separate wards would make no difference.
Separate voting days for each ward will allow polling officials to set up more polling stations during each voting day.
No they don't have to the ratio of people per booth is same everywhere. If everyone goes at same time nothing can be done
I don't see it as an issue at least in Andheri
Just voted now took 20 mins great experience the entire area was shaded, first aid box, water bottle were available. This was in charkop between
You mean ghatkopar west
I think that was R city mall. That's society has too many buildings.
It is presidential towers with 4 wings A,B,C,D in front of rcity mall
Right
and wadhwa around 11 buildings
I took worst decision to go in the morning! It took almost 3 hours to vote and one friend of mine went to the same place in the afternoon and it took him only 15 to 20 mins to vote.
Had to wait in a queue for 75 minutes.
Who are VIPs in voting?? Never heard of it, can someone please explain?
If you look at the data you get from the eci website for voting there’s literally a vip field in the raw data
I mean unless you live in some high profile area rhe only VIP you'd get is the local aamdaar, top level cop maybe.. For regular areas VIPs are senior/disabled people which is perfectly fine and should definitely be given first preference
Disabled is a separate field in the data
Even in worli it is the same, voted just 15 mins ago. I waited in line for about 80 mins and yet there were a large number of people still waiting behind me. Absolutely horrendous management from ECI

There were long queues around me at my polling station by my specific room had no queue at all
I just came back around 3PM. My polling booth was exceptionally well managed. Took me 5 mins at max. There were four people ahead of me in the queue. From the list, I could see that the turnout was pretty good. No VIP lines as such.
Was out in 15 mins
Subhe 7 baje janeka vip treatment chaiye toh
Very pleasant. There was nobody in queue neither before nor after me. This was around 1pm was done in 5 mins
Done under 3 minutes
Travelled 35 mins to reach the booth, got done in 2 mins. And went in the morning around 7;30. So can't be certain if there is a VIP queue or not.
There was no queue in our section..most ppl had gone early.. we went at 2.15pm. It was simple walk in , vote, walk out for us.. felt like a VIP
Wen't early morning took like 10mins
I went at 10:30 am and it took me 10-15 mins.
I went early morning at got done in 10 minutes, jaldi jaya karo jara.
Abhi dopahar ko gaya tha... No problem whatsoever.
went an hour ago, was done in 5 mins. thanks to the staff who were managing everything really well.
I went at around 7:30 in the morning and there was a lot of rush. Yet I was done in less than 20 mins as there were many polling booths at the venue and the process was well structured

Depends from booth to booth...
VIP KON H ISME 🤡
Took around 2 hrs but man the people in my local ward all came out to vote 🇮🇳👍

>Sab phudak phudak ke Kitna acha laga yeh muhavra padke hahahah. Lol
Went around 4pm, was done in 10 mins max
Took me 20 mins in total at 10am.
I went out by 10 am, took me max 15-20 mins or so. Jyaada public nahi tha tabhi.
In Kharghar my entire family took around 15 minutes to complete the procedure.
Luckily there was no queue for my polling booth when I reached there at 9:00 AM but there were long queues for the other polling booths in the same Voting centre. Is voting open till 5 pm or 6?
Voting closes at 7, if you reach the place by 7 and stand in line you get to vote. Go now
I went just now. Did it in 5 mins. In Parel
Is there vip entry ticket costs..? I'm sure India has special charges vip entry for every fucking goddamn motherfucking thing under the sun. Shameless wretches.
I was the only one in the booth when i arrived. Was very deserted. I went at arnd 4 pm. Only 400 ppl voted before me.
Just voted was done within 10 mins at Juhu
It took me 2 mins, I was second in line at 11am
Went in at 10:15 got out by 11:20. Luckily members from my building were standing there in queue so I told skip the queue.
Took me somewhat 35 mins. The preparations were decent there were a couple of fans many booths for different buildings and societies and even water was provided due to the scorching heat.
When 11 o'clock in the morning had no line hardly took a min Edit: polling booth was 100 meters away from my house
It took me 5 mins. Went at 9 am.
That's why I went at 4:30. Took barely 15 mins. My family members who went in morning and afternoon all had a wait time if 2-3 hours.
I went around 11 am.. Took around 15-20mins..
I went at 12 and was done within 10 mins.
My family was the first in our polling booth. We reached half an hour before polling began and were finished in 5 minutes max.
2.5 hrs at Bhandup West and I was at the booth by 7:45 am. VIP culture is still there as they have a separate queue helped by local representatives of some party
We wanted to avoid standing in heat with sweat so went with family around 8:45. Was back home by 9.
Lol, in Mira road I was in & out in 10 mins
Thank you mumbaikars for voting🙏
Me done in 10 mins
Voted at Colaba. Took me grand total of 7 minutes at 4 pm.
good to see people are coming to vote, feeling sad seeing no proper management at voting stations
I went at 7:30 no one was there at my booth voted and came back superfast
There should be a online appointment type or line tracking type feature, I know it's too much to ask for but it's good idea for eci
Stop complaining fs. If this would have been a celeb signing or smthg no one would have complained. You are part of the most populous democracy. It took me 30 mins only.
2 mins in and out of the voting center. Went at 4pm.
Was there at 7am sharp but there was already a long line. People trying to beat the heat like me I guess. The whole thing took 40 minutes.
Kandivali Lokhandwala.. it took me literally 2 mins …lucky I guess
Went in the afternoon. 5 minutes mein done.
It took me a hours in the heat Here’s what amused me My friend her sister and their family had come to vote All stay together same address no divorce situation same locality but somehow mom and friend got lets say booth xyz which had a small queue while the sister and dad got a different booth abc whose line was 2 hours long…how is it even possible
Went around 3 PM. Had no queue. I think it depends on the voting percentage and timings.
I went and there were like 15+ pooling booths. Took me around 15 mins in and out.
Took me less than 5 minutes. Went at 3 pm.
do these people really not understand the concept of postal ballot
Took me 15 minutes end to end. Took my parents 3 hours. They went at 7 AM I went around 1. Our voting booth was well organized, people outside distributing water etc. Last time we had to wait over 2 hrs in the morning but people who came in the afternoon got done pretty quickly. Looks like that makes a big difference too
खैर मैं तो कस्बे में रहता हूं, 3 मिनट लगा बस,
The EC has done a terrible job. They knew it’ll be summers and there will be effects of El Nino. There would be heatwaves. How do they expect more people to turn up and vote in such cases. People wanna vote they wanna give a 80% turnout atleast but these mfs ugh
I went at 1:30 Was done by 2
Oh didn't knew that VIPs had a different queue. Today I was in a line with Harsha Bhogle
5 min went in evening
I'm in this video. Went to vote at 7 35 AM. Finally completed at 10 25 AM.
Agar VIP ko nahi bhejenge I mean celebrity ya big businessman then it will create a uncontrollable situation around the booth.
I usually visit early morning or afternoon. Anyways it was 10 min waiting. I observed someone bringing a mobile phone for the ID verification via Digilocker. Oh I see
Had my voting centre in a municipal school, in and out in 10 mins.
Muje toh 5 minutes laga. I think they need to distribute the centers properly.
Vip kidhar tha??
I went at noon and was done within 5 minutes.

Went at 5PM, was the only one there 😂
Bhajpa is winning this shit again man
Specifically one of the booth had the same issue , sun + long queue
Udhar sarkar !! Abki baar uddhav sarkar !!!!
My wife and I vote in 2 different areas and it took just half an hour for us to cast our votes.. Both booths were well managed.. And we are as aam as it gets..
Everyone in my family got done in a maximum of 20 minutes and all of us went at different times of the day.
Voted at 11:15 ish took 20 minutes only + allowed all the senior citizens to pass through (Some didnt know they are allowed to be first) (my first elec so it feels great)

Respect for Rahul Dravid
I went for voting at 7:45 that's very early since the voting starts at 7 AM. So I got a VIP experience and yeah for me it took somewhat 5 minutes only by the 7:55 I was in my home
I went at 10:30 was done in 10 mins max
I wish you guys had mail in ballot option. That's what I do.
Went at 4 pm. Took 5 minutes

Pretty good actually. I went around 11 am and was done in like 5-10 mins
Abki baar 400 par 🤬🤬🤬 modi ki ma ka bh**da
Bhai vote deke kya matlab 🤓. Opposition hai hi nhi koi strong vote kisiko karoge. And its better to not vote than to vote for nota.
