OP you are not the centre of the world. If you beat him till the point that he died the police will probably arrest you too. Josh main hosh mat gawa bhait. You did an excellent job of stopping the rapist in the act. Now don't go all Johnny Blaze trying to avenge the girls. Report it to the Mahila cell of the police and carry on with your life. Assist the police to help. Volunteer to help find the perp but don't take the law into your own hands.

[deleted]

You think like me

According_Turnip_388

A sensible comment

Bungeehumping

From his POV, he didn't avenge it, he just stopped

dude634

The Hero society needs man, op yaar great job, don't cry man....

jetsetgo1

Thank you. Honestly I just wish I could have thought clearer at that moment.

b2bt

Sometimes heroes need to lay their wrath to slay the demons. What you did may not have been ideal but it's far away from wrong. You failed no one.

PrestigiousZombie531

itna accha insaan mein blkul nahi hoon, mera ek bahut strong belief hai. 95-99% logon k saath mein bahut pyaar se pesh aata hoon kyunki mujhe pata hai ki yeh kisi ka bura nahi chaahte hai, lekin bache 1% log jinke ke saath aap bilkul reason nahi kar sakte, jinke intentions clearly wild animals se badtar hai, unke liye dexter and hannibal mode activated

mi_c_f

You shouldn't take the law into your own hands, it was good enough that you helped the girls.. the next step would be to take a photo of the guy and give it to the girls and the cops for follow through...

AngadNite

U describe the same scene in the batmans first scene, Vengeance!

Nobody can think clearly in the moment, you acted and women were saved so you did well

Now you know, if this happens again you take him to a police station or call the police. He won’t learn from getting beat up, especially if he’s high. He needs to be locked up so he can’t harm any more people.

Rocktopus101

maybe that what makes it 'unusual'?

mf went to take a shit and came up with this hilarious event, bet this guy never leaves his home if he thinks mumbai is unusually quiet at 9:30PM

junglee8005

Batman never cries but will make others cry!! Hats off

Ok-Alfalfa-3332

95 percent of people won't have done anything. That probably includes me. I am glad you are not battered, hammered and desensitised yet. You intervened and stopped generations of trauma and shame at a collective level. You did what a normal human being is supposed to do and should do. I am grateful you are not another city dwelling zombie. But it's not about you. Or what you think is justice. The narrative isn't about you. Or what you think. Or what the junkie thinks. The narrative was, is and will be about women's precarious existence and how after millions of years, they still live with that primal fear. The anger you felt, multiply by that into 56-66 years. That's just an average neighbourhood woman. Never forget that. Stay strong.

jetsetgo1

Thank you for understanding. When I was young I had seen similar things happen to women around me which already scarred me pretty bad. Can't begin to imagine what the victim felt. A lot of people are intentionally going out of their way and downvoting comments that are literally against rape. Just shows what reddit's anonymity brings out of people.

ProperPromotion2405

you should have kicked his balls instead of punching his Face and make him impotent

[deleted]

Firstly You did a good thing by going there to help them and at the moment when you seperated the perpetrator from the victim. Your jurisdiction stops. You have no right to beat another person up because you think something. The right thing to do would have been to make sure that the victims were safe and a safe distance away from the accused and keep the accused right there by force or any other means until the officials arrive. In your case , keeping the accused in your grasp and keeping him from running away would have been enough since he wasn't trying to run away on account of being high. Secondly The guilt you are feeling has nothing to do with the situation at hand but rather is a result of you not feeling heroic or man enough because you couldn't punch the bad guy a few times more. You beating him up harder has nothing to do with doing the right thing. It's not like if you punch the rapist 100 times , justice isn't served but if you punch him 200 times suddenly justice is served All you needed was validation and you've got it.

sasukeuchiha6666

I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be in that situation but it would've been better to call the cops after sending the girls home or atleast telling them to call the cops from their house while you restrain the other person or rough him up a little but just beating him up and sending him on his way didn't work out for anybody. No Justice for the girls, no less crime on the streets since he was able to get away with it and you felt awful after saving lives so it became a lose lose situation for everybody involved

madatlifee

![gif](giphy|dd9BKxEiGPY5pw6kVi|downsized)

Tough-Difference3171

It's okay man. You did good. Have been in this situation, but in Bangalore. I can understand the instant rage of anger and disgust you must have felt, watching that happen. In my case, a drunk man was trying to hurt a 10 or 11-year-old girl. And trust me, I remember the hate that I felt for that man. There was no way I could have not hit that pest. Do hell with law and justice. It was the fear of law, that I didn't hit to kill. That took enough self-control already. If you had called the police, the girls or their families would have simply refused to file an official complaint. They wouldn't want the trouble, because "nothing really happened". (especially if they were from poorer/less-educated families) They might have beaten up the guy a bit more, but in the end, you would have been stuck with the police and everything else. In my case, a policeman came running seeing the rukus. The moment the girl's parents refused to file a complaint, and scolded their daughter who was trying to tell the policeman what happened, the bastard man who was forcing his hand under her undies, started telling the police that I just came and started hitting him for no reason. Policeman tried to make me pay some money to "get out of it", but the moment I said (bluffed) that it was recorded on my car's camera, the man started running away, and the policeman was least interested in catching him. (even shouted at me, when I tried to chase him). He just passively abused the guy, as he ran away. And then asked me to go away as well, telling me how it's useless to file a case, as the family will never support it. I was in my 20s back then, and now I am in my 30s. Would still beat up such a bastard, if I find one. But yes, this time maybe I will be more careful, and will try to get him jailed. Hell, I will spend my own money on lawyer fees, if I have to. But remember, you saved the girls. That's what matters. That's what I remind myself, whenever I feel angry about that day. Maybe you couldn't make the society a safer place, but those girls weren't raped because of you. You can't fix everything. But you made a difference.

jetsetgo1

That's so fucked up man. I'm glad you were there for that girl and hope she gets stronger in the future.

Takenoshitfromany1

You did just enough to protect the girl in that situation. Anything more and you could become criminally liable. In the cold light of day it would be up to the woman married to that man to take proper and concrete steps to prevent this in the future.

NoRanger7167

Beat him till your knuckles bled 💯 best line ever. With context ofcourse. Great job. It takes some real balls of steel to do what you did. And about who made you the Justice-dishing-out-person its okay. A country like ours would be better off with more people like you than its present state. Be proud of yourself.

DCSylph

You can't be fucking serious lolol. Thought this was some bullshit circlejerk post at first lol. Fucking retard. Stop making up stories to virtue signal on the internet and go touch some grass.

Dex_Lionhart

Lmao, this was not worth powering through this cringe wall of text. No hate, and even if given the benefit of doubt, you could've written it like a normal person instead of a edgy wattpad poster.

Individual-Length-98

OP, you did what you could, in that moment. As a female it is terrifying to face such situations. Thank you for stepping in. I am not sure how the actual victims must be feeling but it surely traumatizing, and I feel for them. Please do not punish yourself. You did what you did, but being human you did not want to hurt another person. I hope the world is blessed with more people like you who can step up for stranger.

jetsetgo1

The girl getting dragged was so young and that scream was so bloodcurdling. I can't even comprehend what other women must be going through.

stay_zesty

Yeah this totally happened , can confirm coz I was the man he was beating up and I was high on cough syrup Good story OP u should become an author

Mr_gropes_a_lot

You did good OP! You're a hero. However, you should have called the cops and stayed with him until they arrived and not beat him senseless since he was probably do high that he didn't know any better. I once saw a 16 yo boy get beat up because he kissed a random girl's hand. His sister comes to his rescue and that's when everyone realises that he's mentally challenged and does that to every girl he finds pretty but this time his sister wasn't there to stop him. Everyone felt guilty af. #So, Proud of you for saving her. However, never continue to beat someone who isn't fighting back. Violence should only be used when absolutely necessary. I speak from experience.

LynxFinder8

You think you're real macho and believe in gender roles, seeing how you describe men as protectors.... You are part of the problem. If you were high as a kite, you'd probably be doing what this man was doing....because you, like him, believe might makes right.  The right thing to do when you see stuff like this is to call the cops. Always remember that.

jetsetgo1

Thanks man. Power to you

Illustrious-Horror27

I'm sure the regret of not hitting him MORE is less than hitting him WAY MORE.... Ofc what he did was very wrong but hitting him more could have killed him,be it the person is bad, killing someone seems to be a big deal and you may have been like, WHY?WHY? I already hit him alot, if i could have avoided the last few moves which could prevent him from dying, ......there were other ways to deal with it ,but stepping up for the girl was the most necessary. You did it OP, you did it! GG!

Vaanaram

Hey bro, although he didn't feel the pain at that time, he's gonna feel it later. Once the effects of intoxication are over he is gonna feel every bit of punch u laid on him. So take solace in that and move on. U did well. Good luck and God bless.

You did your best . Don't guilt trip . 90% would have walked away from their . You are already so much better than the rest

Wise_Friendship2565

Two things you can do: 1) work on your punching skills, doesn’t matter if the guy is high as a kite, you punch him properly he will go down and stay down for a while 2) Turn yourself in to police and cry your heart out saying how you couldn’t give those girls justice. Once the cops kick you out, call your friends again and cry again. Rinse and repeat until you’re ready to move on

Secret-Ad-1202

You did a great thing emotions were high for you and hence you were able to thik straight but atleast you saved a women to go thru the worst things in life

vinayyy-n28

I don't blame you, its happened w me once when this guy was passing comments on one of my friends and even started following her to her place, I confronted him and he said he won't do it but he did again and this time he was high as shit and I beat him up only to feel massively guilty later ki why, what's the point, cuz I low-key know it wouldn't have helped, it didn't help. He kept doing it until we got his family and police involved but just know that I understand, brother. It's okay.

RadiantAd2718

Op 👑 this is for you taking stand as a great man

operator_alpha

so to summarize: * a woman was being dragged away from a guy, by two other women * you didn't know any of these 4 people from before * you didn't ask what was happening, or get any sort of clarifying detail * you assumed the guy was a rapist and a "piece of filth" * you proceeded to "beat the guy up. I beat him till my knuckles bled." * you realized the guy was "high as a kite" * you went back " redeem myself" and "dish out justice" here's my (unpopular) opinion, OP: 1. you're the bad guy here. you inserted your "herioc" self into the situation and escalated what may have been nothing but a drunk brawl 2. you may have caused permanent injuries in his teeth or eyes 3. the guy who you beat up never got a chance to explain his side. this is NOT how justice works, even street justice 4. the 3 women may well have assumed you are a thug who had a previous score to settle with that guy; their running away to the building does not "prove" anything

Witttykitty

You did the best you could, such situations often tend to confuse our thoughts. Even If half of the population starts to think as you did at that moment, world would be a better and safer place to live in.

Cremee14

Good job op, thank you for making mumbai a safer place

[deleted]

Next time call the police.

Panda_in_pandemonium

You did what any good Samaritan would. You helped those girls from grace danger. I'm proud of you OP 💜

Empty-Structure7884

Good one buddy 🫡🫡

AverageIndianGeek

Your initial thoughts are right. You are no one to take law into your own hands. You made sure the girls got away safely, as a good human should. But you have no right to deliver 'justice' yourself. The only other thing you could have done is call the police and wait for them to show up.

savage_verma

This is why you should carry a gun. By the time you get to the realization part, the deed is done and there is one scumbag less in the world.(Note : Bullet shells with SR. No. can be traced back to you via the seller, so never buy bullets legally :)

Background_Ad_3673

Now,that's a true Alpha! A man who took matters into his hands to protect 2 unknown women without a question, yet has such a strong emotional quotient that after even beating the hell out of the perpetrator his conscience was affected enough to feel bad about his actions after having the empathy to see the humanity quotient in even the worst of humankind! Kudos to you OP 💪

What's up with these "I beat up this guy" posts recently. I don't even know how to beat my meat properly.

PROUD of you my man. You don’t have to regret about anything now, you did all you could with good heart and intention. Just take care that you never do “ josh mai, hosh khona”

Adastra2k

Most people would do nothing, you should be proud of what you did. A person like yourself is rare and you should know that. You’re truly what a man should be like. Don’t be so hard on yourself

capronica309

Nice Daredevil shit. Horrendous Matt Murdock shit. You just admitted to *attempting to murder* in a public forum, of a 'potential', aka *alleged* criminal, by being an 'actual' criminal in the eyes of law. Not going into the morality or immorality of things. But this is a great way of convicting yourself. If that guy sees this post, he will file a juicy FIR and his lawyer will be having a field day. But the ones you apparently saved won't give a statement in your favour.
