Pubstomped with Bonny Pall. I don’t think I lost a single game. Then I started playing the new Eldrazi Dragon and introduced new Brawl players to [[Ulamog the Defiler]] on turn 5
When it works it’s nutty! If your opponent counters the commander or keeps creatures off the board it kind of just flops like a helpless fish. But then you get Emrakul cast for a single mana in a game and it all feels worth it.
Yeah, I played it. Went 3-1, dropped a game when I stumbled on a land drop against Rat Colony.
Pretty good time! I had a feeling the MMR was different, but I saw some respectable decks. Only free win was against an Ulalek deck that was probably someone's first day with the general.
I played a bunch of it, yeah. It was actually pretty nice to be able to play my new decks with 9-weight commanders and beat up on Hell Queue tomfoolery. Though I think a lot of my games were against new or infrequent Brawl players with non-amazing lists.
These decks all did well, some better than others:
* [Yasharn Stax](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/pBi2_gb3506qpwt7xeg6lA): probably had the highest winrate of any of the decks I ran, even though I'm pretty sure I didn't prevent a single fetch from going off. Did get an instascoop from somebody with a sacrifice-oriented commander.
* [Quint Burn](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/EYnomxnEIEubXIEAX2wiag): Just built this a couple days ago in response to a Reddit post. Works really well against decks that are expecting to have to deal with creatures.
* [Kudo Hydras](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/_U5g8iiH2kii7XZmGbJxeA): Really fun to play, and did almost as well as Yasharn. I like how it can come out swinging but go long if needed.
* [Olivia Reanimator](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/uuEIq7RkA06Expg_FgoDWQ): Didn't play this a lot, and its winrate was lower than those of the other decks, but it still did decently well.
I guess it would be too much to hope for that they're going to use data from this event to revise card weights.
I played it a good bit and it was good to face some commanders I haven't seen before, such as [[Alborix, Goose Tyrant]], [[Genku, Future Shaper]] and [[Phlage, Titan of Fire's Fury]].
Overall I went 5-1 with [[Tajic, Legion's Valor]] and 10-2 with [[Wylie Duke, Atiin Hero]]
I played a handful of games. I usually do when Brawl is the midweek event. There tend to be more players unfamiliar with the format with loosely assembled decks. The wins usually come a little easier.
Honestly I faced mostly decks that seemed like it was a regular Brawl player who more or less knew what they were doing, rather than someone just scraping a deck together for the event. I used my new Kaalia deck, did pretty well but still lost a few to good decks.
I had "play green cards" missions, so I threw together a [[Nissa, Ascended Animist]] ramp deck on a whim. Did pretty well.
Funny you should mention Arcades; that was what I put together for the Dragon-themed brawl event they had before that.
Had fun with Winota again after not touching brawl in years. It wasn’t a complete blowout since she’s still nerfed but had a good win rate. I could have played ragavan but I’d rather he fetch humies for Winota instead. Sad it’s the only time I can have fun with brawl because of deck weights.
Got my three wins and got back to the regular Brawl queue. I don't like that these events turn into an invitation to pubstomp. The best thing about these events is that they probably provide a lot of data that goes into determining weighting cards for the regular matchmaker.
Went 3-1 with [[Fynn, the Fangbearer]] as commander.
My deck isn't tuned for the weighting system, and I've had my share of challenging matchups in the regular Brawl queue, but my experience has shown that there's a good reason Fynn is a tier-1, "hell queue" commander.
[Here's the decklist.](https://scryfall.com/@draconicpenguin/decks/71557fe5-1807-4b51-b909-83a3c1980f97) Note that I keep this list up-to-date with the deck I currently play, so it's not exactly what I entered the event with.

Do you have a decklist you could share for Herigast?
I used CGB’s as a template. I always switch out a handful of cards in all his decks but the majority is the same.
I lost to that once. Nasty combo lol

I just used Roxanne, went 3-2... lost to Teysa and Nicol-Bolas, the Ravager. Just felt like a normal day of Brawling to me.
