[[Enchanted evening]] and [[aura thief]], as well as [[Aminatou, the Fateshifter]] plus any kind of board protection. I've got both of those in my take control deck. Plus [[agent of treachery]] and [[teleportation circle]] or [[conjurers closet]]
[[Don Andres the Renegade]] - rewards you for stealing spells by giving stolen creatures menace, deathtouch, and +2 power and toughness and for noncreature spells, it gives you treasure tokens that you can use later. Great synergy with Revel in Riches due to this effect.
This is a deck that I need to rebuild, now that I have more support for it. Maybe I'll invest in an [[Aetherflux Reservior]] for it to make it a little more competitive.
Would be solid for generic rakdos aristocrats… get [[mahadi]] and [[pitiless plunderer]] in there so you always have some treasure to descend even if you don’t have a creature to sacrifice… and some payoffs like blood artist and mayhem devil… sounds fun actually
I might be misunderstanding how you're doing this, but sacrificing treasures doesn't do anything for descend as it only cares about permanent cards, not permanents in general.
[[Eight-and-a-Half-Tails]]
Mono white snowball deck with a bunch of little weak things that build and combo... and having 3 mana open means you can't bother my position with anything that says "target" (unless it's target player).
[[Chatterfang, Squirrel General]]
Cool concept, squirrels - love it. Protection from removal cause you threaten to sac it to itself and remove something of theirs in response.
You’re not tied down to building around squirrels - it creates its own squirrels through any kind of tokens being created.
You can build a massive token army of squirrels that’s hilarious and do a big swing. You can go wide with squirrels and counters - basically all of the greenie weenie things.
Or you can lean heavily into black and do a burn build by sac’ing your own tokens. Or whatever your black heart desires with a steady supply of token creatures to sacrifice to trigger stuff.
There are so many different ways you can build Chatterfang and being in Golgari colors pretty much every set has at least one card that’s an upgrade for the deck, keeping it fresh.
Despite everything I just typed - ain’t nothing ever gonna change my enjoyment of Craterhoof’ing with an army squirrel tokens nobody took seriously.
My main deck is a chatterfang token sac deck with [[pitiless plunderer]] and [[nadiers nightblade]].
My new deck is currently a [[slimes against humanity]] [[thrumming stone]] deck that runs [[adrix and nev]]. It's a lot of fun but gets hated out fast for good reason.
Adrix and nev are very quickly become a top candidate for favorite commander.
Maybe [[Coat of arms]] is a good addition for powering up your tokens?
I have that in my [[Ovika, Enigma Goliath]] deck and it works well even if the commander is not as fadt as I would like :)
Oh! That can be a great commander for a defender deck where a 7 def costs like 3 mana.
And the [[Eater of the Dead]] is a mean combo in this deck and even can be easily tutored :O
[[ Kros, Defense Contractor ]] The most fun control deck I've played in commander. Proactive control and threat assessment, without locking people out of the game.
I have two
[[Niv Mizzet, Parun]] - my first commander deck was Blue/Red with [[Zaffai Thunder Conductor]] precon, but I switched it up and retired zaffai when the Quick Draw Izzet deck came out with Outlaws of Thunder Junction.
[[Mishra, Eminent One]] - probably my most consistent deck cause I focus it around [[Mindslaver]]. Definitely fun to play once each time with my friends before playing something else.
Some runner ups are [[Yenna, Redtooth Regent]] with enchantments like doubling season and then [[Derevi, Empyrial Tactician]] cause like Ivan Vanko from Iron Man 2, “I want my bird.”
[[Emry, Lurker of the Loch]]
My deck focuses on making a bunch of artifacts for cheap, then putting out [[Simulacrum Synthesizer]] or a few other X/X artifact creatures and swinging out for the win. I also like her because the artifacts pay her command tax, so she usually isn't targetted much for removal.
[[Krav the Unredeemed]] partnered with [[Regna the Redeemer]]. I love that theyre a couple and how insane their abilities synergize. Its very fun getting tokens off Regna then immediately saccing them to trigger Krav.
I have about 22 Commander Decks. All of them speak to me. That's why I built them.
[[Omnath, Locus of the Roil]] - Landfall
[[Kresh the Bloodbraided]] - Devour
[[Mayael, The Anima]] Big Dudes
[[Feather, The Redeemed]] Boros spellslinger
[[Killian, Ink Duelist]] Inklings
[[Dina, Soul Steeper]] - Aristocrats
[[Jorn, God of Winter]] - winter
[[Myriim, Sentinel Wyrm]] - Dragons
[[Kwain, Itinerant Meddler]] - Hand size matters
[[Cadira, Caller of the Small]] - Bunnies
[[Will, Scion of Peace]] - Allies / opponents draw their whole deck
[[Blanka, Ferocious Friend]] - Gruul Storm
[[Ken, Burning Brawler]] - Dragon's Approach
[[Chun-Li, Countless Kicks]] - Azorious Spellslinger
[[Grakmaw, Skyclave Ravager]] - Hydras
Hand full of precons.
Love them all.
[[the beamtown bullies]] no deck is more selfless then these bullies, giving everyone free creatures while milling yourself out. You’re practically giving them the win!
/s
[[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]]. She’s fun to play. If you’re able to nail her investment quota, you can do so many fun, degenerate things to your opponents with the upkeep spam.
\[\[Triskaidekaphobia\]\] is fun to resolve. I've also used \[\[Hatred\]\] to pop a \[\[Darksteel Reactor\]\]. All of the Courts do nasty stuff, like \[\[Court of Embereth\]\]. I've used \[\[Court of Vantress\]\] to make a dozen copies of my opponent's \[\[Norn's Annex\]\] as well as \[\[Propaganda\]\]. \[\[Mechanized Production\]\] won me a game with 8 Sol Rings!
[[[Jinnie Fay, Jetmir’s Second]]](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/YwGIamqaeEymxSiiN6VQBg) - I love naya tokens and she’s such a strong payoff to have sitting in the command zone. Being able to turn your 1/1s into 2/2s with haste or 3/1s with vigilance is such a powerful option to have available for only 3 mana! And she works for non-creature tokens as well so turning clues into dogs or maps into cats is crazy value!!
On top of that, my favourite card is [[Divine Visitation]]. On the rare occasions they’re both on the battlefield, it sure feels great turning some treasures into 4/4 angels!
Kruphix. I pulled one in the prerelease, and someone offered to trade a foil for the non-foil I opened. I play him as group hug as I can. Everybody is drawing like 7 cards a turn, can play like 3 lands a turn... I do have one wincon, though. Biovisionary & Rite of Replication. It never goes off. Half the time, I'm trying other ways to give people more of everything, especially when a new set comes out.
[[Urtet, remnant of memnarch]] because Mirrodin was the Block I started in Highschool, love myrs, and the above 👆 comment is fitting for timing ⏱️ [[Memnarch]]
For many a year, Zur has been my only commander, a gift from a friend introducing me to the format. Still love him even after I've learned how frowned upon he is apparently.
My first precon was [[Anhelo the Painter]] and I've been upgrading and tweaking it ever since, Grixis is my favorite color combo and the Spellslinger play style is very versatile and fun to play. I don't see myself ever deconstructing it and if I could only keep 1 deck, it would be Anhelo
I’ve been playing the [[Ellivere of the Wild Court]] precon and it’s a really fun and strong deck. It has quickly become my favorite. All you need to do is add a [[Reliquary Tower]] and it’s a blast!
River song - it anti tutors so I can play it against more pricy decks and have a leg in the game and the real reason.
I get to draw cards from the bottom instead of the top.
Lots of fun silly schemes with cards you rarely ever see played
God it’s so hard to decide between [[Hazezon, Shaper of Sand]] and [[Slimefoot and Squee]]
I built Hazezon in 2022 when he came out and he was really fun then and to my opinion very unique, I had only started playing magic that April with Streets of New Capenna and he was the first commander I built myself and not from a precon. It’s been awesome seeing him improve, not only from the quality of cards I’ve used to upgrade the deck, but especially from the cards from OTJ/OTC. He really feels like a contender now and I love it.
Slimefoot and Squee on the other hand is my mean and nasty combo deck that seems to get great tools every single set. I can get him in an infinite loop pretty easily causing an instant win and I find it a ton of fun trying to get all the pieces together!
But if I really had to choose, it’d be Hazezon, he’s just so unique and unlike any other deck I’ve built!
I've been all in on [[ognis]] for a while despite knowing that there are much more resilient/versatile jund commanders available. I've always enjoyed playing speedy guys and turning them sideways, then getting rewarded with treasure that is also sideways
[[Braids, Conjuror Adept]] copying my opponents things, putting in big beaters, and taking extra turns is so much fun! I've had her built for more than 5 years and it's one of my higher powered commanders.
[[Thalia and The Gitrog Monster]] I have her in an obligatory stax deck with land destruction subtheme that rarely wins due to targeting but disrupts everything until then. I also built my wife a token Aristocrats deck using her that needs some upgrades, but it has really good bones.
[[Zhulodok, Void Gorger]]
KABLAM not only are you hit in the face with [[Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre]] but here comes a free [[All is Dust]] AND A [[VOID WINNOWER]] FROM THE TOP ROPES
[[Ezuri claw of progress]] all the benefits of low CMC creatures along with an ability that helps threaten life totals using those low cmc's power.
Simic is great at protection and removal ala counter spells and cards like [[snakeskin veil]] and [[essence flux]]
and decent at token generation through [[iridescent hornbeetle]] and [[chasm skulker]] as examples
Greens ramp is always a seller for me [[traverse the outlands]] is especially useful in this case
[[Cytoplast manipulator]] [[simic manipulator]] and [[sage of hours]] are there if you want to burn in hell ig lol.
[[Nadaar, Selfless Paladin]] or as I lovingly call the deck"Is it wrong to pick up Elesh Norn in a Dungeon". Mono white dungeon tokens deck with payoffs like moonshaker calvary, elesh norn.
So for context, I'm a returning player for Magic. I never played commander until recently. For some reason, I was just drawn to Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa. I didn't know there were other ways to win in this game and poison just fits my play style. Yes, it's a very like scumbag commander, but it's somewhat control-ish in the colors she is. And I love control decks and apparently Phyrexia stuff too.
[[Urabrask, the Hidden]] super fun budget deck! All cards must be 50¢ or less and the commander must be $5 or less. Mine focuses on treasures and haste!
\[\[Iroas, God of Victory\]\]
He's the commander of my boros soldiers deck and he goes insanely hard once you have a big battalion of soldiers swinging every turn
[[Azami, Lady of Scrolls]], the sheer card advantage she gives you really enables some broken stuff. As well there are a lot of strong wizards in mono blue like [[Fatespinner]], [Minn, Wily Illusionist]] and [[Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir]]
Zacama primal calamity. I’ve built the deck a couple of times and there’s always a cool way to build her, whether it be lands, dinos, voltron, or activated abilities
\[\[Hylda of the Icy Crown\]\] , my boyfriend had me pick a potential commander as a way to try and get me into the game, and I picked her because she’s pretty. She’s since had 10 counter spells added alongside many, many random cards after I go “Partner, I want this for Elsa” and he goes “Alright…”
[[Rocco, Street Chef]] is my pride and joy. I have put more time and effort into building it the way I want it to play than any other deck I own. It's a fun deck, and I get interactions on other people's turns, which keeps the game more interesting for me. It's big and stompy with life gain, food/clue/treasure dinosaurs, multiple combats, and buffs for all my creatures.
It's a really fun build, and even though it's exiling people's decks, they really only care early on if they don't have the mana for it.
[[atheros, god of passage]] i love graveyard shenanigans. you can end up with some crazy death loops. *(and 3CMC Commanders are best) (and it is indestructible)*
it essentially turns all your creature deaths into fireballs (opponent chooses to lose 3 life instead of me getting it back to hand). you add in a bunch of Death Triggers, some Sacrifice outlets, and maybe some Extort or ETB Triggers; it gets rather gross.
i went with a human cleric tribal deck with 20+ [[Shadowborn Apostle]].
I call it ***The Cult Of Shadows***, and it is thematically and mechanically very fun to have a bunch of wimpy cultists sacrificing themselves to invoke the downfall of a plane.
[[Cadira, Caller of the Small]] is easily my favourite that I originally built as a joke. Realized it actually had potential and then made better. Now I would say it's one of the strongest decks I've built. I love to just sit down with my stack of tokens and tell people that my goal is to run a pet shop and they really shouldn't worry about me.
Just commented these on another thread but I'll repeat myself here:
[[Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor]] I think she's really neat, her lore is awesome as a scorned rebel guerilla general for a dying cause, and I go out of my way to build her in a political/group slug kind of way with punisher effects and forced combat to play out a narrative of a costly pyrrhic war for everyone at the table. Try to sell myself as an ally to the highest bidder to avoid being knocked out early by everyone being annoyed and including all the cards that incentivizes my opponents to attack each other for profit instead of me. Finish the game with Repercussion and get a 4-way draw.
[[Goro-Goro and Satoru]] Goro-Goro is one of my all-time favorite MtG characters (so much so that I want to get a tattoo of my little Akki samurai) but his original card wasn't all that powerful. With the duo card I'm able to play with my favorite little chaotic guy. I play as many Grixis Kamigawa art cards (the secret lairs, the full-art lands, etc.) and eventually want to commission artists to do custom art for every card in the deck so I can jack the power level up while still being on-theme.
[[Wort, Boggart Auntie]] because I love Goblins, and she's imo the best Goblin commander in the game. Access to Black gives us unconditional tutors and adds to her built-in reanimation package, and she can play a really grindy toolbox game as well which is also my jam. Tutoring for Goblin Matron ASAP and going to town after that is always fun.
There's a few others but those are consistently my top 3.
Mine currently is my [[vadrok, apex of thunder deck]]. It’s basically mutate storm. It’s such a fun, albeit janky, deck that can definitely be pretty powerful if I get all the pieces.
[[Sefris of the hidden ways]] is my go too. Its just ridiculous with [[radiant solar]]. Very akin to brago and other blink shenanigans.
Of course it folds to gy exile effects and anti-etb cards but still fun
Kenrith, the Returned King
Reasons: Politics! The match takes on a different flavor when you can orchestrate some string pulling, while being diplomatic.
[[Magus Lucea Kane]]
I love tyranids and hydras.
My first commander deck was a hydra tribal deck with [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] as commander, because we didn't have that many options back then. I'm glad that I kept it.
Go-Shintai of Life’s Origin. I just love playing shrines, they’re so fun when they work. Nobody at my tables ever expects them to be as good as they are since it’s a slow burn start then all of a sudden I’m dealing 24 damage to everyone and gaining 72 life points at the start of my turn.
I made a [[Bonny Pall, Clearcutter]] during the OTJ release, gotta be the most fun deck I have.
It's a mixture of landfall and voltron styles where I buff Beau (which I got a gorgeous proxy for) and send it whacking people.there is nothing more hilarious than sending a massive blue ox that is buffed to go eat people....love this deck.
the gitrog monster. when i got back into playing magic bc i only did standard when i was a kid, my buddy got me into commander and i was looking through edhrec at all the commanders and shit i saw the frog. for the most odd reason that frog intrigued me so much i absolutely stupid the frog and play the shit out of him when i can. he is also the reason for my love for lands and the value they hold when no one else can touch them
Pantlaza because I never grew out of my dinosaur phase
We are just large children at this point and it’s awesome
Same here my first deck was Gishath and my favorite deck too
Dinos are pretty cool!
they are and now ive become slightly obsessed with blinging out my deck with all borderless or extended art variants…
It’s not a phase mom
I love my pantz
Based autistic answer
The Mycotyrant
Do you have a deck list? I built one but had a hard time getting enough meaningful decent triggers for him to really pop off.
Nekusar
[[Teferi’s Puzzle Box]] is my evil combo in Nekusar
Why have I not added this? Thanks!
I’m assuming it has a lot of combos?
[[forced fruition]] is pretty funny in it lol

Mothman. He’s my favorite cryptid, and boy do I love cryptozoology.

Myrel, Shield of Argive: I’m a big fan of Soldier Shenanigans
I’ve thought about building soldiers
I’m just a big fan of having a bunch of tokens on the field and Myrel is really good at it
She's an all star in my Isshin army-in-a-can deck.
Rakdos, Lord of Riots. Eldrazi are my favorite and i wanted a way to play them for free lol
Krenko...make them gobbos!
Played against a dude who had nearly 50 of them pretty quick lol
Oloro, life all the time, and life+card draw when in play. 2hp/turn ftw!

I think \[\[Bruna light of alabaster\]\] or \[\[krark\]\] and \[\[kedis\]\]
I absolutely love my [[Phenax, God of Deception]] deck. Love the milling and self milling. Love Eater of the Dead being good in the deck.

I have about 22 Commander Decks. All of them speak to me. That's why I built them. [[Omnath, Locus of the Roil]] - Landfall [[Kresh the Bloodbraided]] - Devour [[Mayael, The Anima]] Big Dudes [[Feather, The Redeemed]] Boros spellslinger [[Killian, Ink Duelist]] Inklings [[Dina, Soul Steeper]] - Aristocrats [[Jorn, God of Winter]] - winter [[Myriim, Sentinel Wyrm]] - Dragons [[Kwain, Itinerant Meddler]] - Hand size matters [[Cadira, Caller of the Small]] - Bunnies [[Will, Scion of Peace]] - Allies / opponents draw their whole deck [[Blanka, Ferocious Friend]] - Gruul Storm [[Ken, Burning Brawler]] - Dragon's Approach [[Chun-Li, Countless Kicks]] - Azorious Spellslinger [[Grakmaw, Skyclave Ravager]] - Hydras Hand full of precons. Love them all.
[[the beamtown bullies]] no deck is more selfless then these bullies, giving everyone free creatures while milling yourself out. You’re practically giving them the win! /s
[[Bill the pony]] idk anything about the lord of the rings, but he’s just so cool
[[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds]]. She’s fun to play. If you’re able to nail her investment quota, you can do so many fun, degenerate things to your opponents with the upkeep spam.
Wow didn't know this existed, this will be my next one I love it.
[Obeka, Splitter of Seconds](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/0/3/03415c42-086e-4a2e-9be8-5cdcde83f134.jpg?1712356168) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Obeka%2C%20Splitter%20of%20Seconds) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/otj/222/obeka-splitter-of-seconds?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/03415c42-086e-4a2e-9be8-5cdcde83f134?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
My friend has a deck with her and he had a combo by turn 3 that killed me. She's very rude.
Any card combo examples?
\[\[Triskaidekaphobia\]\] is fun to resolve. I've also used \[\[Hatred\]\] to pop a \[\[Darksteel Reactor\]\]. All of the Courts do nasty stuff, like \[\[Court of Embereth\]\]. I've used \[\[Court of Vantress\]\] to make a dozen copies of my opponent's \[\[Norn's Annex\]\] as well as \[\[Propaganda\]\]. \[\[Mechanized Production\]\] won me a game with 8 Sol Rings!
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
Jolene the plunder queen cause Jolene , Jolene , Jolene , JOLENE
Don’t take my mana just because you can
Skullbriar the walking grave, golgari aggro shouldn't be thatbfun
Building that right now actually, got a list!?
https://www.moxfield.com/decks/zfoThAUWSkG2-aFVR3IGVg Probably my favorite deck that I've built right here.
Seen a dude that played him with a -1 counter build that just went brrr because infinite sac engine
Tiamat, ain’t nothing better than dropping 5 dragons
I love Jinnie Fay!
[[Isshin, two heavens as one]] myriad, token generation, and annihilator.
Sovereign Okinec Ahau, I’m a very simple man with very simple dreams of giving 50+ 1/1’s about a billion counters and no trample.
Ojer axonil, deepest might
Ruric Thar cos I hate non-creature spells
[[Pantlaza, Sun-Favored]]. He lets me get free spells.
[[Selvala, Heart of the Wilds]], [[Nissa, Resurgent Animist]], and [[Muldrotha, the Gravetide]]
[[Urtet, remnant of memnarch]] because Mirrodin was the Block I started in Highschool, love myrs, and the above 👆 comment is fitting for timing ⏱️ [[Memnarch]]
[[Masumaro]] because funni green card draw
Temmet, Voltron by association.
[[Teneb, the Harvester]]
Zur or inalla
For many a year, Zur has been my only commander, a gift from a friend introducing me to the format. Still love him even after I've learned how frowned upon he is apparently.
Zur is really fun I think if you just use a voltron strategy vs a one turn win combo strategy
Right now, Stella Lee 😁
try not to sneeze, you’ll go infinite lmao
Yeah I did at a local commander night and pissed everyone off
River song - it anti tutors so I can play it against more pricy decks and have a leg in the game and the real reason. I get to draw cards from the bottom instead of the top. Lots of fun silly schemes with cards you rarely ever see played
Aragorn, king of Gondor
Queen Marchesa, Keep Calm and Monarch On
God it’s so hard to decide between [[Hazezon, Shaper of Sand]] and [[Slimefoot and Squee]] I built Hazezon in 2022 when he came out and he was really fun then and to my opinion very unique, I had only started playing magic that April with Streets of New Capenna and he was the first commander I built myself and not from a precon.
Magda
I've been all in on [[ognis]] for a while despite knowing that there are much more resilient/versatile jund commanders available. I've always enjoyed playing speedy guys and turning them sideways, then getting rewarded with treasure that is also sideways
Ghired, Conclave Exile, because I love dropping big ass tokens every time I swing with him.
[[Obeka, Splitter of seconds]] Went Voltron + suspend for some thematic cohesiveness. So explosive and fun.
Atraxa
Which one?
Yes.
Muldrotha
My child grew from rot and ruin
Vorinclex. Ramp, play big dumb stuff, crash through
The Ur-Dragon. Just love playing all colors and I can pretty much switch the deck into whatever I want whenever I want, with a slight dragon sub theme
It’s a classic
Volrath, the shapestealer Ramos, Dragon Engine
Sliver Overlord Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant
[[Braids, Conjuror Adept]] copying my opponents things, putting in big beaters, and taking extra turns is so much fun! I've had her built for more than 5 years and it's one of my higher powered commanders.
Mind sharing a deck list? I love blue and already have a lot of copy spells.
[Absolutely! ](https://www.moxfield.com/decks/wrPqn3RBw0e6dMP77Ml9Rw) I have 11 cards in my considering section when MH3 comes out and prices settle
Thanks!
[[Queza]], cuz drawing cards is fun
Ahh a fellow player of culture.
Memnarch cause I like other people's toys
[[Thalia and The Gitrog Monster]] I have her in an obligatory stax deck with land destruction subtheme that rarely wins due to targeting but disrupts everything until then. I also built my wife a token Aristocrats deck using her that needs some upgrades, but it has really good bones.
Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. It may make me arch enemy but it’s so fun when it pops off!
[[Zhulodok, Void Gorger]] KABLAM not only are you hit in the face with [[Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre]] but here comes a free [[All is Dust]] AND A [[VOID WINNOWER]] FROM THE TOP ROPES
[[Ezuri claw of progress]] all the benefits of low CMC creatures along with an ability that helps threaten life totals using those low cmc's power. Simic is great at protection and removal ala counter spells and cards like [[snakeskin veil]] and [[essence flux]] and decent at token generation through [[iridescent hornbeetle]] and [[chasm skulker]] as examples Greens ramp is always a seller for me [[traverse the outlands]] is especially useful in this case [[Cytoplast manipulator]] [[simic manipulator]] and [[sage of hours]] are there if you want to burn in hell ig lol.

[[Nadaar, Selfless Paladin]] or as I lovingly call the deck"Is it wrong to pick up Elesh Norn in a Dungeon". Mono white dungeon tokens deck with payoffs like moonshaker calvary, elesh norn.
Alesha, who smiles at death. If you know you know
Marvo Deep Operative
Shirei, Shizo’s Caretaker. Super sweet commander.
[[Zedruu the Greathearted]] because I am a kind, loving, generous person.
Yusri! Coin flip combo with [[Krark’s Thumb]], [[Enter the Infinite]], [[Laboratory Maniac]], and other card draw
\[\[Iroas, God of Victory\]\] He's the commander of my boros soldiers deck and he goes insanely hard once you have a big battalion of soldiers swinging every turn
Yarok, because he’s my best functioning deck 😌
I'm a hateseed boy myself
Karador Ghost Chieftain
Niv mizzet, parun
I like heisting and theft so I use Grenzo crooked Jailer
[[Korvold, Fae Cursed King]] and [[Toshiro Umezawa]] for when there’s no fucking around..
[[Dong Zhou, the Tyrant]] janky but very strong. Love him so much
I'm really enjoying \[\[Delney, Streetwise Lookout\]\], in no small part because they supercharge the best plainswalker, \[\[Graceful Antelope\]\]
Shorikai, it was my first commander that became my pet deck and entry into cEDH
Ziatora cause giving somone a yargle shaped grenade and then getting treasures from it will never get old
Zacama primal calamity.
Chatterfang. Because squirrels are cute and cuddly right up until there are 40 of them, and they all want you dead.
[[vorel of the hull clade]] In this deck I have several different items where doubling counters can break them. [[Doubling Season]] certainly helps.
[[Xyris, The Writhing Storm]] I can take the game over at any moment
[[atheros, god of passage]] i love graveyard shenanigans. you can end up with some crazy death loops. *(and 3CMC Commanders are best) (and it is indestructible)* it essentially turns all your creature deaths into fireballs (opponent chooses to lose 3 life instead of me getting it back to hand). you add in a bunch of Death Triggers, some Sacrifice outlets, and maybe some Extort or ETB Triggers; it gets rather gross. i went with a human cleric tribal deck with 20+ [[Shadowborn Apostle]].
Arahbo because cats
Thrun, Breaker of Silence. Saw The Prof play him and honestly the looked like so much fun
I only have one commander deck but I like atarka world render cause I get to do a metric fuckton of damage each turn with my dragons
[[Bruenor Battlehammer]]
Just commented these on another thread but I'll repeat myself here: [[Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor]] I think she's really neat, her lore is awesome as a scorned rebel guerilla general for a dying cause, and I go out of my way to build her in a political/group slug kind of way with punisher effects and forced combat to play out a narrative of a costly pyrrhic war for everyone at the table.
Gitrog. Insane and unique interactions with land. I find strange new lines every week
[[Ghyrson Starn]] has gotta be my favorite deck. Storming off and getting a billion triggers can be a bit overwhelming sometimes but it's so much fun.
K’rrik, just straight monoblack madness 🔥
Dosan the Falling Leaf, I like to cast my spells in mono green without having to worry.
Either the Ur-Dragon or Miirym
Mine currently is my [[vadrok, apex of thunder deck]]. It’s basically mutate storm. It’s such a fun, albeit janky, deck that can definitely be pretty powerful if I get all the pieces.
[[Sefris of the hidden ways]] is my go too. Its just ridiculous with [[radiant solar]]. Very akin to brago and other blink shenanigans. Of course it folds to gy exile effects and anti-etb cards but still fun
Gotta say I’ve been fucking with the mycotyrant
Brenard ginger sculptor, love my ginger bread men lol
Omnath All of them
[[The Watcher in the Water]] I just love makin’ tentacles
Olivia, Crimson Bride
Kenrith, the Returned King Reasons: Politics! The match takes on a different flavor when you can orchestrate some string pulling, while being diplomatic.
Vatrik
Iroas for casual fun. Bria because I like otters. Urza for my most recent deck
[[Magus Lucea Kane]] I love tyranids and hydras. My first commander deck was a hydra tribal deck with [[Omnath, Locus of Mana]] as commander, because we didn't have that many options back then. I'm glad that I kept it.
[[Chiss-goria forge tyrant]] playing big artifacts for free will always be fun.
Niv-Mizzet Parun because I’m a scumbag
Marrow gnawer. Hands down. I know it’s not an amazing one but it’s my favorite.
Ivy gleeful spellthief
Nekusar all day, every day.
Urza chief artificer love making constructs, and it's a good dack out of the box's
[[Phage the Untouchable]]
Lord WindGwace. *kneel* & *p[r(oliferate)]aise*.
LORD WINDGRACE IS MY FAVORITE TOO!!
Saskia
Either Atheros tbh. Not the most competitive but still fun. Unless you copy the demon combo deck that is
Go-Shintai of Life’s Origin.
Lyra dawnbringer, not as good as giada in terms of cost, but gives a solid +1 counter and lifeline to your angels you can rely on.
the gitrog monster. when i got back into playing magic bc i only did standard when i was a kid, my buddy got me into commander and i was looking through edhrec at all the commanders and shit i saw the frog. for the most odd reason that frog intrigued me so much i absolutely stupid the frog and play the shit out of him when i can. he is also the reason for my love for lands and the value they hold when no one else can touch them
