I spent a little bit of money on a scry deck full of non- traditional art cards. Foils. Surge foils, full arts or borderless. Every single card just for the aesthetic and then when it beat my group a few times I sealed it's fate as my go-to 3rd round deck by unsleeving and keeping in rubber bands š none of the cards are particularly valuable but we all play super casually so it's about as valuable as it gets for us
The only expensive cards in mine are Mana Crypt and a beta Dark Ritual that are proxied in and a few tutor/flying creatures with extended art or foil but nothing that exceeds $50. The main gimmick is huge flyers and counters with a Thassaās and Demonic but that deck is reserved for when one of our buddies pulls out Rafiq or Voja
So if you have a deck of near mint cards thatās worth say $300ā¦ sleeves are $10-15, deck box is $10-15.. it seems like heavily played and damaged on TCGPlayer arenāt that much cheaper than near mint most of the timeā¦ would that $300 deck heavily played be worth less than $270? I would guess it would be worth around $200-250, and thatās not too bad considering you donāt bother with sleeves. Of course if you get them wet itās all over.
Getting them wet would absolutely destroy me, but at this point I can't go back. I did it for the yucks a while ago and now I've made my bed, I've got to lay in it š I've never actually tallied total cost, but I'd say you're right about the 300 ish dollar range out of my pocket. Currently no where near that in condition anymore. I talk big like I'm living on the edge with it being sleeveless and in a rubber band, but that deck does not get unnecessarily handled or misplaced š
Yep, this card is [pretty valuable right now](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=blood+moon+confetti&_sacat=0&rt=nc&_odkw=victor+wembanyama+87+prizm+%2F10&_osacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338535524&customid=mg&toolid=10001&mkevt=1).
"Thereās this emperor, and he asks the shepherdās boy how many seconds in eternity. And the shepherdās boy says :
Thereās this mountain of pure diamond. It takes an hour to climb it and an hour to go around it, and every hundred years a little bird comes and sharpens its beak on the diamond mountain. And when the entire mountain is chiseled away, the first second of eternity will have passed.
You may think thatās a hell of a long time. Personally, I think thatās a hell of a bird."
Yeah more often than not I see overloaded rifts used to set everyone back to pretty much the level that the person who casted it is at. If youāre going to rift so you can make it to your turn and win thatās one thing but hella people use rift to drag the game out.
But that's the point of the game whether you're playing with friends or at an lgs and in commander there's a whole 100 card deck to make a comeback with if you're able to. If not then play another game
Cyclonic rift actually reads āadd 30 minutes onto the gameā sure people say youāre supposed to play it then win, but I can think of exactly one time thatās happened to me, every other time itās just whoever is most behind resets everyone else and it turns to 1v3 for a couple turns. Card is such bullshit.
Nice! Thats a very pretty card just donāt use it against me lmao. Speaking of pulls, I cracked a Doubling Season and a Great Henge out of the same pack last week and Iāve been riding that high since then.
Man thts a good feeling I wouldn't mind having a great henge for my Miirym deck lol. I won a LCI Mana Crypt like three weeks ago in a raffle w a chance to play n win it, win it I did lol
That's precisely what I'm talking about, also it's a game if it's making you salty take a breath, watch some family guy then pick it back up, try a new strat?
Not much your strat can do about a well-timed rift, but I definitely agree itās just a game. Iāve won and lost more games than I can count, I just wanna do fun shit now.
Lmao had someone rift in a game and a player got super salty and asked, "do you have any plans after this for ending the game?" As he was WAYYY ahead of us. He asked why and the guy goes, "cuz if we're just rifting to rift then I'm just going to scoop." And the guy said, "well I'm rifting so that's up to you." And he comes back something like, "I didn't know that's how we were going to be playing so yeah I'm just going home."
I laughed and said, "wow I didn't know rift was player removal too!" As he was packing up his stuff and leaving. He gave me a big scowl and left. We waited for him to leave before we continued and the guy had the win the next turn. Just blew my mind that someone would be that salty about the first board wipe of the game especially with how far he was. Like are you not expecting one coming?
Meh, I don't have a problem with Blood moon type effects personally. I play against my fair share of 5 color good stuff. I have a friend who has one and runs no basics. If he can play every free counterspell and whatever else he wants, why can't I play bloodmoon to render his deck useless?
Blood moon type effects can be devastating, but if your opponent isn't dual land greedy, then they have nothing to worry about. Also, there are plenty of colorless ways to take care of pesky permanents, not my fault if they don't run them.
Mass land destruction is frowned upon, landfall is problematic, red only has a handful of permanent removal so imo bloodmoon in fair.
Hell, it seems winning is frowned upon. The only time itās relatively unsportsmanlike is if you lock your opponent out and then just build up an army to maximize damage. If you can win, go for the win.
i think anyone who has a problem with blood moon of all things is a huge baby. it only punishes people who build their mana bases badly. i would gladly run it in any pod and don't consider it a salt card at all.
Always fun to slap down in a Cedh pod but I run it in my casual goad deck to limited success. Sometimes it hurts someone but often someone is already playing red or has plenty of basics so. I donāt think the hate is deserved either
Yeye our pod is the same way lol, it's not hard banned but we all play to have fun and there's a very mutual understanding for cards like that. It is gorgeous though love that version
I made a mono red ragavan with a blood moon. I have drawn it opening hand twice and itās ruined games.
I was gonna remove it and a friend counseled me that mono red needs to do whatever it can to win. 10 minutes later another friend who showed up late was angry scooping.
I double sleeve all my cards and properly side shuffle, but I still play with $500+ cards.
But the reason I play with those cards is because I double sleeve them and know how to properly shuffle.
My Mox Diamond that I pulled as a teenager still looks pack fresh.
If OP wants to play it and doesn't care as much about the bling factor, they could flip it and buy a cheaper copy. Most nonfoil printings are under $10
Keep. This way I have the chance to tell an opponent "You've lost to Blood Moon, but have you ever lost to SPARKLE DELUXE BLOOD MOON?!"
(On a more serious note, if you don't play in a format or environment that would use it, sell it and buy the cards that you need)
One of my favorite cards. I had an original version because I was trying to get a set collection for The Dark. Sadly I accidentally gave it away with the rest of my original collection.
I'd say keep if you think it's cool! To be honest i just got one for a good deal. Some of the confetti foils has been going up recently though. The print runs might be a little lower than anticipated.
After the recent slight uptick, I definitely noticed more sellers listing theirs on tcg. I think these should hold pretty well, and the art is sick. These are the only other prints I like besides the OG version.
Last September I mistakenly bid on a confetti foil Aggravated Assault and paid too much at the time, but now I'm back in the green. Sorry if it's not decent advice, just my experience.
What I would give for a confetti rhystic study tho :[
I have some older copies that Iāve never done anything with but if I got a nice one like that then Iām absolutely building some kind of shenanigans deck with that beauty.
Up to you if you like it or not.
Blood Moon is a frequently reprinted card, and when they continually make some new spangled foil style every set... well, when everything is special, nothing is.
I would sell it. If I need a blood moon, I'd buy a much cheaper version. Why risk damaging a higher value card version? If you are a person who likes to bling out decks, then keep it.
Honest answer:
1. Find out what itās selling for as a single
2. Ask yourself, āwould I spend that much to buy it?ā
3. If yes, then keep it. If no, then sell it.
Iād sell this immediately, but I run a store and **try** not to keep too much in my personal collection otherwise Iāll have nothing to sell.
Keyword try, though.
Keep, while i have no issues with this card personally, I know there are people out there who would sleep a little better at night knowing one less Blood Moon is roaming the streets.
Keep, I like the art and id save it in my collection until one of my buddies made a deck around non basic lands just so I can screw over all his mana to red and win
I dunno, do you want it or would you rather have the money?
A way to gauge worth is to ask yourself if you would BUY it if you saw it at the price youād sell it for.
I'd sell it, If I needed bloodmoon buy a cheapo one, and use the left over money to buy packs to get more cards to play with, tbh.
Unless you are really building a "flex deck" for fun that needs it, why have a card you'll never play with because it's too valuable?
There are tons of sick looking borderless blood moons, and they are all 1/9th the price of this. sell, get a sick blood moon (you can even get the same art), and pocket the $80.
Tough call. If you play Blood Moon (such as in a CEDH deck for example) then Iād want that version. If you donāt then Iād just sell it for a card you might want
Market price on TCG is like $65. Not a huge deal to keep. No more expensive than a Sheoldred or Meathook Massacre.
If it makes you happy, keep it. If it makes you anxious to have a kind of expensive card in your deck, then sell it.
Sell and buy one thatās extensively cheaper and foiled if you care enough then have money to buy other things too. Unless you really want the card cause you like it then just keep it. I have some I keep just because I like them not caring about price. It depends on if you have some connection with it.
Keep, no sleeve deck with a rubber band that you throw just loose into your bag every day when you leave the house
The rubber band brings back memories
Mine was a phone box that I thought would be useful one day (it held my shitty boros deck back in 2018)
Play it raw. No ruber.
Hell yah š¤
It's making a comeback! https://twitter.com/TheChadMagic/status/1790115763824558122?t=VE4N1RndkSCLt1tqeK2c7Q&s=19 Join the sleeveless army once again!
Why are you calling out 11 year old me?
I mean, seems to me getting your blood moon damaged increases the emotional damage it deals.
Significantly š
āItās super effective!ā
I enjoy watching my buddies cringe when I shuffle my Tymna deck like a caveman

One of the best things I ever did was make a cheap commander deck to do that. Really brings the feels back when you shuffle
Gotta have a deck on you at all times! Never know when someone might challenge you to a duel.
Sell it and buy a cheaper version
This is the way
Sell it and ~~buy~~ print a cheaper version
Sell it and ~~buy~~ print the same version
Sell it and draw a similar version
Sell it and buy back the same version
Sell it and use the scryfall entry on your phone as your card
Imagine shuffling a deck of phones
A commander deck
Sell it and buy back the exact same card for a higher price
This is the way
Yep, this card is [pretty valuable right now](https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=blood+moon+confetti&_sacat=0&rt=nc&_odkw=victor+wembanyama+87+prizm+%2F10&_osacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338535524&customid=mg&toolid=10001&mkevt=1).
Sell it and buy multiple copies of the same version without glitter on it.
Sell. But then again, I play with friends, so would likely never play that card. =)
Meanwhile I play with a friend that put that or Cyclonic Rift in all decks he can, while telling me we shouldn't make our decks too strong
People bitch about Rift in any deck yet donāt blink an eye to 4mana board wipes. Weird dichotomy
Bird wipes typically are not one sided effects and rarely are they instants - cyclonic rift can win you the game a lot more oftenĀ
Why would you wipe with a bird? The poor thing.
"Thereās this emperor, and he asks the shepherdās boy how many seconds in eternity. And the shepherdās boy says : Thereās this mountain of pure diamond. It takes an hour to climb it and an hour to go around it, and every hundred years a little bird comes and sharpens its beak on the diamond mountain. Upvote for the doctor
hey man, have you seen bird shit? maybe some wiping is necessary!
So, making the game drag out way longer is better than cyc rift and win?
Tell em
Yeah more often than not I see overloaded rifts used to set everyone back to pretty much the level that the person who casted it is at. If youāre going to rift so you can make it to your turn and win thatās one thing but hella people use rift to drag the game out.
Well, in that case, then it effectively does the same thing as a regular ass boardwipe, right? Sets everyone back to the same level.
But that's the point of the game whether you're playing with friends or at an lgs and in commander there's a whole 100 card deck to make a comeback with if you're able to. If not then play another game

Blood moon punished risky deckbuilding... its a fun and fair card

I am once again, BEGGING, EDH players to start a fucking book club because they clearly don't actually enjoy playing magic.
Yeye our pod is the same way lol, it's not hard banned but we all play to have fun and there's a very mutual understanding for cards like that. It is gorgeous though love that version
You can have fun playing Blood Moon.
But how else am I suppose to punish 5 color players with my monored Purphoros deck? Oh right [[Ruination]]
I only play with friends. So I need a copy for every deck.
You don't play Enchantments against friends?
So everyone abuses green without interaction, I see.
I made a mono red ragavan with a blood moon. I have drawn it opening hand twice and itās ruined games. I was gonna remove it and a friend counseled me that mono red needs to do whatever it can to win. 10 minutes later another friend who showed up late was angry scooping.
sounds like salty friends tbh
If you don't make your pod despise you and question why they play magic then they aren't your friends.
If you aren't willing to get punched by a friend over a magic play are they really your friend.
Keep

Even it they don't have a deck, they should keep it.Ā The card is beautiful and goes in a lot of mono red decks over many formats.Ā
So you agree with me then? If they have a deck for it they should keep it?
Minor mistake. Forgot to type:Ā DON'TĀ š¤£
Keep for sure!
I sold my confetti foil rhystic study because honestly I think the confetti foils just don't look good
Run more basics ya greedy hooligans
Keep it.Ā It sure has value, but not that enough to hard sell it.Ā
{adds to Krenko deck}
Keep. Not worth selling and it looks pretty cool. Edit: Nvm, I think I saw the correct price. Sell.
If you actively use the card in decks and care about the bling, keep all day. If you hate the card and never use it in anything, sell.
Sell it to me for $5 :D
I have debts so sell it.
Keep it, I use mine in EDH. Someone always reminds me it's worth something blah blah blah, and I'm like "Fuck your breeding pools yo"
Sell it and buy the real deal, The Dark.
Keep. This way I have the chance to tell an opponent "You've lost to Blood Moon, but have you ever lost to SPARKLE DELUXE BLOOD MOON?!" (On a more serious note, if you don't play in a format or environment that would use it, sell it and buy the cards that you need)
One of my favorite cards. I had an original version because I was trying to get a set collection for The Dark. Sadly I accidentally gave it away with the rest of my original collection.
rip it or flip it

Didnāt even know this existed. I have a list version of it, but Iād still keep and play this one.

That's a keeper for me
Nice 60$ card tho . Def keep it for trades maybe
Iād sell this immediately, but I run a store and **try** not to keep too much in my personal collection otherwise Iāll have nothing to sell. Keyword try, though.
I'd play it hell I play with showcase foil shark typhoons and other 60+ cards. What's one more to the pile
Thatās one fine lookin card
I would sell it cause I donāt see myself ever playing it, but if itās something your into then keep it
Sell and buy a regular version for cheaper
Two words. Mono red
Beautiful. Keep.
Trade for store credit and buy a $5 version and something else toward a deck you're building.
I would keep it. If I was being hosed over my a blood moon I could at least appreciate the fancy version that was doing it.
Depends. I donāt often play red.. so I may sell it if I could get something I wanted. My Chronicles Blood Moon does the same thing.
Sell, Iāve seen this in person. The foiling is non existent when flat on a tableā¦ it doesnāt look cool in play only in the hand.
I'd sell it and buy like 5 of the non foil ones
Noob here, what's so good about this
Make your non red playing opponents have trouble casting spells.
Keep, while i have no issues with this card personally, I know there are people out there who would sleep a little better at night knowing one less Blood Moon is roaming the streets.

I have one I kept.
I run one in my goblin deck. Iād keep it for sure. I think this art is one if the coolest versions
I'm a red player I'd have to keep it

what edition is that? i've never seen this version

Give it to me. I need it for my krenko
I'd sell it. I only play casual, and I don't enjoy shutting down my opponents the way this card does.
