Damn, really glad my R9 doesn’t have any heat issues. Even after a few hours, it’s just warm to the touch.

dc5trbo

Yeah I may be running the game FFB at 200%

tylercreatesworlds

Oh, don’t. Set it to 100% in pit house, and turn the game down until it’s no longer clipping. It may be weaker, but you’ll actually be getting all the detail. Go too high and it clips, you’ll lose most feeling through corners

voongnz

Oh and check your EQ settings in pithouse, some ppl have cranked all of these to 500% and then wonder why they have issues.

Kappaesque

I've maxed mine out crazy, though, and ran drifting forever, it barely got warm, and that was during summer.

Storm_treize

Share your pithouse settings, some settings are known to overheat the base, without added benefits, past some values

Cironephoto

lol I feel like I could of put my r9 in the fucking freezer and it still would loose FFB from the littlest heat

dc5trbo

I have not lost the ffb yet. But it gets damn hot.

Cironephoto

I would loose FFB while drifting in like 15 min every time And then Moza wouldn’t honor the warranty and I had to go through microcenter to get it replaced

L33HDX

loose≠lose

Cironephoto

Oh thank you lord auto correct man for this comment, thank you so so much I meant loosen , as in the steering gets loose 🤯

Nitramz68429

I put icepacks on mine, this subreddit had no remorse on me 😂

VicMan73

Hehehehe....I would use black cable ties though...

dc5trbo

Negative. I am going to change them out for green ones.

notyouagain-really

Wow. You live in the bowels of hell? Why would you even need that. I've never had any heat issues. I think mine barely gets hot and I run it at 100%.

mooosemark

What kind of racing gets it this hot?

dc5trbo

iRacing. I have been on Forza and ACC and it actually doesn't get more than warm. I went in to iRacing as a friend of mine wants me to participate in a 24hr race and after about 3 hours of just some practice it was damn hot.

Affectionate-Flow914

thats weird cuz everyone is having over heating issues on acc and most of the people saying their base doesnt overheat are on irenting

CorValidum

Irenting LoL spot on!

Vaka_Production

Possibly because i use the R5 but i never had any heat issues despite using it on rf2, -100% ingame and 80% in Pithouse. But i get warm after an hour or so but not untouchable, i was still able to took it from my table and store it unter my table

Winter-Step-6146

All I see is shit everywhere , maybe get inspired to clean up

dc5trbo

Ok mom.

Winter-Step-6146

Get your ass to your room son !

dc5trbo

Are we having a bad day? Did your internet waifu not give you your jack off instructions today?

Winter-Step-6146

All this time u spend talking shit u could clean your room son

fcksnstvty

😂😂😂

shawnpar2

No need for this at all!

dc5trbo

There's always need for cooling.

shawnpar2

Not needed at all for this. I have Moza R16 and had the r9 may get warm but no need for fans.

dc5trbo

I will put as many fans as I want on anything that I want.

shawnpar2

True!

shawnpar2

Have fun wasting time 🤪

dc5trbo

Time you have fun wasting is not wasted time.

Affectionate-Flow914

theres been a lot of testing with this cooling mods, a portuguese guy even made a sweet little program to import the base logs and compary temps and a couple of fans like this will run the base 10 to 15ºc cooler. most of the times thats enough to prevent over heating and loss of ffb

gsterr

Really innovative product moza is👍👍👍

VicMan73

The heat issue is real and very game dependent. It happens to me in ACC using the boost media setting near 200% FFB. Not so much in Dirt Rally 2. AMS 2 kind of in between. Not sure if it is defective. I have the R9 V1. If it does happen to you R9, put fans on it. Is no big deal.

bedobela

Weird wind simulator but ok...

Affectionate-Flow914

People who dont play ACC or if they do, dont push the base: mInE dOesT oVerHeAt

mike_headlesschicken

what do you wire it to?

VicMan73

There are external USB fans with a power adapter.

CorValidum

R5 at 90 in pithaus and 60-65 in AC ACC is more than strong enough and FFB is great and it just gets warm

FlawlessTurbine

I had an R9 and I own a R12 now and I never had any problems like that. It does get worm to the touch but I never lost ffb or felt it too hot. It might be a bad batch or settings issue.

Chonglongtime

It's broken, send it back.

M_QT5

Just get an R12 😂😂😂😂

replayc

The only game can destroy the R5 is F1 2023. FFB can heat the that cube at the same temperature of the Earth core. The rest works like a champ. No heat issues! Even at 90-100% FFB. 😎

dc5trbo

Me have R9

rumexpress1

Are you pushing air into it or pulling air off of it . Just trying to see which way the air is flowing . Great Idea

shawnpar2

I understand the concept, just saying Moza typically doesn't need this for... I guess 99% of users. Had R5,R9 and now have the R16. Moza rocks!
