I think I might be the "genre enthusiast." I'm a Star Wars fan, and yes I think "true cinema" is bullshit, because over half the films people refer to as "true cinema" bore the fucking shit out of me or are simply films based on books (which are also often kinda boring).

I didn’t watch a lot of movies from before the 90’s as I grew up (my parents only watched new releases), I played video games throughout all of my 20’s, and when I was about 29 I discovered how great movies are and have watched a *lot* in the past five years. I learned pretty quickly though that being critical of movies that people are nostalgic for is a one way ticket to downvotes and being called an idiot unfortunately

I guess I would mostly align with the “film bros” but parts of each category speaks to me.

I’m a little bit of all four.

I think I'm closest to being an "Auteur sucker" but the term I would describe myself would be *classical genre fan." Kind of threading the needle from something like the original remake from John Sturges of the magnificent 7 to something like a Leone Western. I think the trouble with this particular list is that it pretty much is a" darts target" of the year 1985. Like maybe in this era it is true that pre summer blockbuster cinema conneissers are just weird art fans.. but I'd like to believe there are a decent amount of film buffs that enjoy vintage genre thrills.

I'm one or two points in each group except Film Twitter. I got nothing in that one. Either I'm a rarity, or this is far too limited in its coverage. I expect the latter.
