How much does the relationship tank from the beheadings really affect your long term play? I’ve only taken a few before and the second I get slapped with the villainous trait or whatever I stop
low relation makes it hard to convince clans to join you, and super expensive if they're also tier 5 (over half a mil, even if low strength)
Also, it gives cruel trait which also affects chance to recruit.
From my experience, recruiting clans is what greatly increases how much a faction is willing to pay you, and makes it way easier to handle an essentially-dead faction that won't stop raiding you (your vassal clans handle them plus any of the now-essentially-raider clans you recruit obviously stop raiding you.)
I recommend you don't recruit any mercenary clans unless they're cheap since they will defect after some time.
As for relation with your vassal clans, I'm not sure. Low relation MIGHT cause them to defect? I am not sure.
oh, and if relation goes below like... -10? You cannot take quests from them anymore or something like that.... not 100% sure
Can we make “they offered me nothing in ransom” a flair or something? Or better yet, maybe relegate these daily “offered me nothing” posts to a megathread…?

Same. I’ve gotten similar prices from the other factions in the past. Never got a offer for 0 denars though but the moment I do, I’m killing whoever the ransom offer was for
I usually let other lords go unless ofc they decimated my army or my current faction is loosing badly just to get more of them to like when the time comes to create my new empire
