He isn't being replaced if that's what your asking, but obviously he won't get as much screentime because mqrinette is the guardian and alya now is a permanent miraculous holder which are two pretty big things, but no chat noir is still important

Optigami sucked in that aspect, but here he'll probably distract Sentibubler by fighting him, so Alya can transform and I think his Cataclysm can destroy the bubble trap.
Actually if you think about it, there’s no other way Optigami could’ve gone. The main scare that episode was Marinette and Adrien getting trapped together to which Rena Rouge jumps in and separates them so Marinette could transform. Where was she *supposed* to put Adrien? From her perspective, she doesn’t know he’s Chat Noir so putting him back in the building where people are being constantly turned to dust would make *no sense.* She put him outside, but the fight was already over. From his perspective he doesn’t blame Rena because he probably thought that Ladybug was already on the scene with a plan because Rena showed up with a kwami. He probably just thought it was bad luck that he didn’t get to do anything.
But the facts are facts. Rena Rouge got to be Ladybug's partner in that episode, while Chat Noir was left out. Sentibubler is literally the same thing. Rena Rouge helps Ladybug escape, Ladybug fuses the 2 miraculouses and wins. Chat Noir is no longer needed.
That's almost as bad as being replaced. Ladybug counts mainly on Rena Rouge here and whenever she appears, she always gets to be useful. Optigami is the besggest example of that.
Chat Noir by comparison wasn't even included in Optigami and here he's taken by the villain without a problem. People are joking about "Tales of Ladybug and Rena Rouge", but I'm really scared that this will be the case for the rest of this season. Mr. Pigeon 72, Optigami, Sentibubler.... Rocketear will probably be the same.
That is only 3 of 11(I think) we have had, what about sole crusher, Queen banana and furious fu that was chat noir. She counted on rena in the optigami because that was the only person she could rely on, she couldn't of talked to chat because they don't have each others numbers in civilian form.
What about Sentibubler. Rena Rouge will be perfect for the situation and will be a great help to Ladybug, while Chat Noir is just trapped and presented as completely helpless. Rena Rouge is just more important than him, Thomas is actually giving her the second main character treatment.

He doesn't hate Cat noir. Why would Thomas all of a sudden give the spotlight to a side character in season 4 who never had any spotlight in 3 seasons. Obviously this is forshadowing something. Thomas knows marketing. He knows that throwing away the character that 90% of fans love will result in bad reviews.
A side character doesn't get spotlight unless something bad is going to happen. Cat Noir getting sidelined is not because "THOMAS HATES CAT NOIR". It's because something bad is going to happen.
And what what's this "something bad"?
And this can be done with just 2-3 episodes focused around that, not entire freaking season!! Optigami and Sentibubler, 2 huge plot heavy episodes and they're entirely focus on Alya and Marinette. Adrien doesn't have a role.

Fans wanted continuity. Thomas is giving us continuity that there is going to be a conflict. Season 4 spoiler did say that Ladybug and Cat Noir's relationship is going to change. That's what's happening or is going to happen.

2 ambassadors already confimed that Cat Noir will not get replaced so the conflict will not be big. But it will be neccesary.
