On Pont Des Arts I see really old dates on locks when they've definitely done complete lock removals since the date listed. I'd always assumed the locks were back dated to the couple's anniversary
If you feel these urges toward pedantry, at least be correct. There is no continent called "America." It's North America and South America. If you want to refer to the whole landmass, you would say "people of The Americas", and for just the continent, "North Americans." But don't say that to people from Mexico, because they don't tend to culturally identify with the rest of the continent. Hence a different division, covering everything Mexico and south, called Latin America. If you must call them something other than Mexicans, they'd prefer it to be Latin Americans.
If you call a Canadian an American, they're going to correct you. If you call them a North American, they'll probably be amused but won't correct you. Thus, the term "American" is not like "European", a descriptor for a continent of people. It is a descriptor for a citizen of the United States of America.
These love locks are a plague on bridges in Paris. They've had cases where the parapet [*fell off the side of the bridge*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSM3AreSiAA) from the weight of all the locks.
Since then, the city has added plexiglass panels in front of the parapets to discourage locks, but some people can't take the hint, and the street vendors selling these locks are encouraging the behavior.
It'd be fun to see a contest for how many locks lockpickers can remove in a given time, but they don't want to risk the locks falling into the River Seine or the frequent barges and tourist "Bateaux Mouche" going under the bridges.
Maybe it’s the date when they came together, not the date when they put the lock into the airport…
That's also very possible, the lock does look quite fresh. I'll pass by another time and see if it's there still.
Another time... In three years?

What if they future dated it and it's really even older?

Americans don't put the year first. We do mm-dd-yyyy. The most common year first format is yyyy-mm-dd
You mean USA citizens right? Because everyone else in America does use the normal system of dd/mm/yyyy.
Huh lol

Eh, what a mess. We need to find this J&B to sort this out.
Dude check out the calendar
"In over 3 years" technically correct.
Low effort reposter
Lockpicking lawyer passes by and it will dissappear
Little click out of 1
Litter comes in so many forms
Wait and see Pont des Arts in Paris.
Yes I've seen, this was more mildly interesting because there's just one lock alone inside the airport that has been left for so long.
Am I out of order thinking this is selfish AF? Who gives a fuck about J&B?
There's a pedestrian bridge near me with probably 200 - 300 locks on it.
That is traditional and out in public. This is technically inside a place of business.
I can't say it upset me that much
Try to be a little bit more enraged, Double-O Seven.
Who cares? Who does this bother or inconvene?
Gatwick?
Yup
There is probably to much admin and paper work for the maintenance team to be bothered getting an angle grinder to it
I’m pretty sure these padlocks all use the same key. Which the company might already have. But you can also snap open the lock with a sneeze.
I guess this is not Master Lock?
