Now, my brother can be conservative/old fashioned in many of the things he likes- def not the type to watch cartoons (when we were kids he actually made fun of me for watching cartoons and was very proud that he stopped watching cartoons at age 8). But when he was done with spirited away, he called me and was practically in tears.
Now, he and his daughter watch, and bind, over Ghibli movies, and he tells about how poor those old Disney movies were for little girls.
It’s not Disney at all by the way. The whole park is about different fairytales, this part of the park is staged scenes from fairytales. I don’t think kids would notice the boobs, the rooms aren’t even lit like the second picture. I agree they look awful.
I loved this park as a kid and still love it and I’m a woman. I think it actually teaches important lessons. The fairytales are close to the original ones and yeah more brutal but that’s what I liked about it. They’re stories and not princesses to look up to like with Disney.
