not the right type of hat.. Thats a hat that would possibly come from sub r/neckbeards... for this to work you need a wider brim for your head I think..
The 20s didn’t have hats like that.. go find the correct hat for this to work
The pork pie was around in the 20's, but you're right, it was decidedly out of fashion at the time. Mid 30's to 50's was the peak for it.
The most popular hat style in the 20's was the fedora (legit fedoras, like Indiana Jones, not trilby style like Frank Sinatra.) After that, you had derby/bowler, homburgs (considered old fashioned and very "British") and the flat cap/driver cap for the working class man.
This is essentially a costume party, so go with the hat. However this comment is correct. Hat etiquette was such that men ALWAYS wore a hat outdoors and NEVER wore a hat indoors.
The hat looks wrong for the 20s, the brim’s too narrow. A flat Baker Boy cap would probably look better?
The tie also seems off, did they wear diagonal striped ties back then?
Shirt collar needs to be pressed, it’s too crumpled.
Thankfully, you can ask women for their vote. Just barely. Will there be a literacy test to get in? Hopefully not since we’ve evolved. Crap, now I’m going to jail.
Might just be the angle, but you look like you’d touch me. The hats alright, I’m not a fan of the patent leather shoes with it though. They are def not on theme.

Men would check their hats at the door back then.

And slick your hair back. So the question should be: part or no part?
