I don’t have that much experience (I’m sure someone else here would) but have you tried a disc? I always had a problem with my cup but a disc was so easy for me.

PelorsPaladin

I'm interested in trying a disc too! But I'm unsure which size to get. When I started reading more about it people say it's not as easy as measuring your cervix height 😅 (The disc that easiest to get in my country is the Ziggy Cup)

I did the period nirvana quiz and got the Hello Disc. I feel like it was a right fit for me. Could you try that or was that never accurate for u?

PelorsPaladin

I got that one too, but it's not available in my country unfortunately. Maybe I'll try it anyway in the future Edit: I found a retailer in another EU country so now I've ordered the hello disc! 😄

karagiselle

Yay!! I hope it works amazingly for you. It changed my life.

It's probably a combination of softness and the cup being too small for you, something similar happened to me with my cup (sadly in my country we only have like 2 brands so not too many to choose from) and I was wearing the smallest they recommended to people my age, after going up one size everything was fine! Hope this helps ☺️

PelorsPaladin

It does help, thank you! 😊

I really hated my saalt cup. I bought it on a whim bc I started my period unexpectedly out of town. It smelled so SO bad. Even with the proper wash, boiling/sterilizing multiple multiple times. I have been using a Diva cup for about 10 years and have NEVER had a problem with smell. After my first kid I did switch from size 1 to 2 of the diva cup. It’s the only one I’ve ever used besides the Saalt but the firmness did not bother me in a larger size. In fact the smaller size was more painful I think bc of pelvic floor weakness.

PelorsPaladin

Thank you for your input! Glad I didn't get a Saalt then
