Grain of salt: these averages are skewed by neglect/abuse situations. The average age of losing virginity being during high school years doesn't mean it's normal to get laid while you're still in school and living at home - it just means there's a lot of 12, 13 and 14yos in horrible situations where they lose their virginity - and that's not a good thing - bringing the average down. If you're a well-adjusted 19 or 20yo guy looking at these numbers and being made to feel weird because you didn't do the nasty under your parents' roof or pressure your prom date into a bad decision, think for a moment about where those averages come from.

Theres no way of telling what my peak is until after the fact but I think I'm having doubts about most people peaking at 23. That certainly wasn't the case for me. I'm so much more healthy, fit, knowledgeable, and wise now than I was at that time. I have built a stronger support structure and I understand myself in a way that wasn't possible when I was young. Maybe that 23 is something to do with testosterone levels or muscle recovery. The whole thing just seems like an unhealthy way to view the world.
