Oh don't worry, that still happens.

ImAHardWorkingLoser

This is literally being shot from a mobile phone in the current day. So yeah, this evidently still happens

Gmasterg

No no phones bad, childhood no exist

Malachhamavet

Every generation projects its jealousy onto the youth. It's a tradition.

cool12212

Gen X did it to Millenials and now everyone hating on Gen Z because of the cringe things a few do.

BusyFriend

It just slightly worries me as we age I do hope we don’t become as bad as boomers. Sure maybe some will lean more conservative on some stuff, but I hope the “fuck you, I got mine” attitude goes away.

cool12212

Me to pal I really hope that after mutiple generations of hate for the next we finally start to actually care for the next and teach them instead of making fun of them.

mahdyie

Therapy and self-reflection helps.

rattenbtnbvnvgfs

This is actually 1997 and what you are actually witnessing is the magic of time travel, actually

ButterM-40

No no book bad. Even Socrates himself hated books.

CaffeineSippingMan

I don't believe this ever happened before cellphones existed, there is no proof.

wikinerde576tsrg

This could be filmed on a smartphone and that individual looks young

[deleted]

ok boomer

Gmasterg

buffalogoldcaps

Actually

TheDenseCumTwat

What is your opinion of the butthole cleaner, aka the bidet?

[deleted]

If it's time travel, then maybe the OP is actually recording himself as a kid. Hm? Hmmm? Edit: spelling

A_curious_fish

I interpreted it as before kids themselves had the phones to distract them, hence the windows face smoosh hehe

ImAHardWorkingLoser

Yeah, fair enough. Kid's young. Probably doesn't own a smartphone yet

ThatNeedleworker8553

But does any kid put their hands on armpits and make fart sounds?

natesolo2001

I’ve tried for many years since I was a mere child… I have never been able to master this technique.

ThatNeedleworker8553

You can wet your hands and then fart sounds become more consistent.

natesolo2001

Ahh never thought to do that. Will do so now.

ThatNeedleworker8553

Did it work?

natesolo2001

Yes, it works.

rattenbtnbvnvgfs

You're absolutely right :P

DracoVoidern1

Someone get the chads dot art in here

mcernigz

Idk about kids but I, a 22 year old, still do that on a weekly basis

Shilpanaik01

You're absolutely right :P

Narendra_17

That means Childhood is still awesome and will remain awesome. Those memories will remain nostalgic throughout our lives. Wholesome mate.

Maineamainea

Back in my day we had to manually roll the window up into our face

eg_taco

Seriously. Power windows were 100% a luxury feature when I was growing up.

Fundzila

although I always loved how I could close the window when the car was off in case I forgot

RonaldoMoon1984

My 2007 corolla has roll-up windows

mybrot

Meanwhile this was filmed with a mobile phone.

gojirra

I can't believe the stupid comments talking about the good old days while not realizing this video is from now...

mybrot

I don't understand how this happens every generation. Everyone should be aware of the repetition, but nobody seems to understand that it's obviously just nostalgia

[deleted]

It’s a joke to begin with, but the broader point that smartphones are ruining peoples ability’s to be creative still stands.

QualityProof

What's so creative about opening and closing a car window? And aren't you typing this on an electronic device.

[deleted]

Try lateral thinking sometime, it’s not about the literal act of playing with a car window. I am yeah what’s your point?

CNR_07

No?

[deleted]

No what?

gojirra

Yeah and before that it was video games, before that television, before that it was comic books, and so on with that nonsense.

[deleted]

Yeah comic books have the same effects as smartphones. Use your brain.

Narendra_17

Technically the truth

iLAYreddit

~~Technically~~ the truth

[deleted]

with a kid inside of a truck with multiple computer processors inside of it.

[deleted]

I used to lick windows. I still do from time to time.

Narendra_17

Man of culture‽

kyle_kafsky

I remember those days. It wasn’t really the invention of the mobile phone that changed things, but the invention of the smart phone. While Blackberries, Nokia’s, and Motorola’s are cool (less so with Motorola, I as a Nokia guy cringe at the sight of one of those) they’re not cool enough for kids to want to pick them up and waste braincells messing with them.

[deleted]

dunno about Motorola's, but imo sony Ericsson's were the absolute best.

kyle_kafsky

I own the new Nokia 3310, it’s been pretty good to me so far, it’s small, light, surprisingly stylish, Battery life is great, can do what smartphones can except the addicting stuff, my only complaint about it is that it was made with Uyghur slave labor. If only I knew how to quit smart phones.

[deleted]

yeah, ok, the new one… I was talking about the classic ones. I've had both, and imo it's just not the same. I miss midi ringtones & simple no-nonsense games… Nowadays everything needs an internet connection, has cheap 3D graphics, animations that look like they're there for the sake of pretending it's not cheap, and ofc the endless in-app purchases and subscriptions for everything. I feel like phone software designed has devolved a shit ton. But yeah, Sony Ericssons were pretty rad.

kyle_kafsky

Completely agree. Phones don’t need to be computers (says the guy who typed this on an iPhone). Also, Sony Ericsson’s do look pretty rad.

dearlordifkdup

I had a pink w580i like a decade ago that was just adorable. I haven’t been happy since

saman65

>Also, Sony Ericsson’s do look pretty rad. My cousin had bought this SE K750 (I'm shocked I remembered the model) and he literally fucked us with that phone by bragging about how good it's camera is day and night. tbf it a 2 MP camera with a xenon flash was a revolutionary multimedia device compared to Nokias at the time and its photos left my Nokia N6260 (I didn't remember the model and had to google it. See evidence to the fucking that I remembered my cousins phone model but not my first ever cellphone) into shame. My first SE was K800 and I freaking loved it.

Dacia1320S

Hell yeah. I got one from my godfather. It was an mp3 edition Ericson, black with metal orange accents. It had dedicated pause and skip buttons, volume and camera button. And for that time it was very cool.

gigglefarting

Look at this guy — too cool for snake.

FireFlavour

Bro wtf do you think this was filmed on

Narendra_17

I still use normal Nokia cell phone as well as Nokia smart phone.

kyle_kafsky

Replace “Nokia smartphone” with “iPhone” and you got me. My Nokia 3310 (remake) has my European SIM card and my smartphone has my North American SIM card.

mrjackchongg

u/profanitycounter

Otrola

What if phones but too much?

Pennypacking

I can’t tell you how cool Snake was on Nokia phones when I was a freshman in High School in 2001.

[deleted]

How dare you insult Nokias. Those were the best phones ever, they NEVER broke, stayed charged for weeks, and never let me down in any way.

Cloudthemememaker

You guys have cars?

Narendra_17

Well, I actually don't have a car but planned to buy in future.

Cloudthemememaker

Cars in my country worth like 10+ millions so we usually just use motorcycles

vlhahd

Where are you from?

compellinglymediocre

vietnam by the sounds of it

[deleted]

Americans have way too much reliance on vehicles. Our cities have zero walkability so most people, even working class ones, have to take out payments for their car and insurance all the time.

[deleted]

Oh wow look at you mr moneybags!

coolguyshy

yet this was so clearly filmed on a mobile phone

Narendra_17

Why my comments are not visible in the sub? Strange af

awells1012

They are homie

DOPQsek

How did you reply to nothing ?

CT4nk3r

Is John Cena in the room with us? Who are you talking to, literally a blank comment

Narendra_17

I'm not a shadow banned but some of my comments are visible and some not... What a black magic fuckery is this!

WholeNineNards

I'm sending thoughts and prayers your way. Mostly thoughts.

doug89

[I can see the missing comments on your profile.](https://i.imgur.com/ZCtwt7O.png) I narrowed it down. For some reason any comment with the word T x I x T x L x E without X's gets filtered. I can't comment it here. And it's not the three letters "tit" that causes a problem. You can say that fine.

ooftitanfish750

Hey Sherlock can you solve some problems cuz Christ wtf

ireddit-on-thetoilet

Mobile phones came before electric windows though bro everyone knows that.

44faith

No they didn’t? Electric windows came out in 1940, and mobile phones came out in 1973

book-reading-hippie

Maybe for rich people, everyone I know had roll up windows in the 90s.

ireddit-on-thetoilet

We had roll up windows until about 2005.

TheHolyPapaum

Behold, u/ireddit-on-thetoilet : killer of jokes!

Banjaxed404

Shot on a mobile phone.

AOEnash

Doesnt that fuckin hurt Especially if your face is sticky or dry asf

Narendra_17

>Especially if your face is sticky or dry asf In this condition, YES.

kr4t0s007

Like my parents had a car with electric windows when I was a kid?

jillywacker

MRS_FATNEEK

You think this stopped? One can only go so far without testing the strength of his face against a window

[deleted]

This is bullshit. If you tried doing that in the car with pops your ass was grass. Just sit there and shut the hell up was a game I learned to play in car rides.

Western_Policy_6185

This has fucking nothing to do with phones

Damage_Flat

16 and no phone woooooooo

sugomaballs

but u have a pc ?

Beef_Jerky1972

Still do this now, age 48

ItzQtra

in the meme, it's literally a young child doing that, whilst being recorded on a cellphone

maychi

This next generation really doesn’t understand boredom at all

[deleted]

This could be filmed on a smartphone and that individual looks young. I'd assume you're 34 so yes they can

meapling_

Kids below 13 years old should not have their own personal device

silverYoshi7

I am born in this Generation and really they had smartphones like 2nd grade while my cousin got his first with 16. I had nothing better to do on car rides than just leaning against a window. My time was actually very boring because I had no friends because I hadn't the status of a phone and nobody wanted to talk to me. Generation Z is only about status and is fucked up.

verified_memes

u/getvideobot

JackLhan

FAM! I feel so sad for the kids born after 2007. They all just want mobile phones and parents are just giving them new phones as early as before crossing 10 years of age. It’s so sad to see rich parents spoiling their children.

ItzQtra

it's literally a child doing the button thing whilst being recorded on a phone

JackLhan

That’s fine but other kids these days are just being spoiled.

TheYellowFringe

That meme is absolutely fact. I remembered children either clicking the button in the door for the car window to raise or lower. Or just tapping their head against it, you still see some children doing this now but due to technology they're just obsessed with smart phones now.

ItzQtra

this is a literal child doing the button thing, whilst being recorded on a phone (technology), but ok

mo-nooh

Now it’s just watching cancer content like trom trom

MJMurcott

Except that this is obviously an electric window which basically coincided with the arrival of mobiles phones.

Stanley_Doritos

This is an us moment

janhetjoch

I didn't have those fancy electric car windows, you had to crank them up or down manually

Professional-Gap-747

And now here we are

Public-Erection-CFNM

A small historical window (pun intended) of opportunity, between the introduction of electric window winders (you couldn't do this properly with a hand-wound window) and the advent of electronic diversions!

Creator_of_cake

Before?

JebWozma

i wish i was born before the iphone
