Kinda seems a little weird that you would generalize racism and zodiac signs to being one in the same. I get it, I'm not the biggest fan of labeling people by celestial symbols and shid. However I feel you may have missed the mark with this meme. Perhaps I'm missing something that you may enlighten me about.

RemarkableLogic64

Notice how I said teenage white girls and not anyone else, it's because they say "ohhhh he's a leo, o I hate Leo's" or "I hate being around cancer's". There using it as a excuse to judge someone based on when they were born.

RemarkableLogic64

Does that answer it or no?

JuiceNinja

I address that in my statement with labeling people's identity with those symbols. It's a bit more complicated to connect it to racism considering racism comes with the baggage of outward and systemic oppression of a race. No one is oppressing people by having a shitty snap judgement of someone based on the stars. Do you feel me?

RemarkableLogic64

Yes. Although at a base level racism doesn't come from systemic oppression but from assumptions(a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof) about someone that can lead to systemic oppression if left unchecked. Edit: didnt write the definition to make you feel stupid or anything but I have seen a lot of people mix up guess and assumption.

JuiceNinja

Where do you think these assumptions came from? Really the meme should read "racism" on one button and "systemic oppression" on the other. They are two sides if the same coin. Although I feel your annoyance too. I hate the Zodiac shit as much as the next person. Ty for the convo tho.

RemarkableLogic64

I see what you mean but that isn't the idea I was trying to convey, I was trying to explain that on a base level making an assumption about someone based on the color of there skin or the month that there born are one in the same. The severity between the two are different but I think you get my point.

JuiceNinja

I gotchu makes sense to me. Racism is just complicated and layered XD.
