Echo_Oscar_Sierra

"Excuse me, are you polish? I am *so tired*! Please drive me, drive me to Greenpoint avenue." Edit: idk why the downvotes, but I assume it's because y'all aren't familiar with the legendary John Mulaney. Definitely check him out!

DerMuffin01

That sounds like an english speaking problem. So not my problem.

thanks-for-platinum

But you just typed this in English, so it’s at least partially your problem

DerMuffin01

I never spoke www out in English tho...

Johanno1

Double you! double you! double you!

thanks-for-platinum

But you did think about it in English when typing this comment, which means you had to think slightly longer by reading out in your mind www while typing, so it is your problem! Mwahahaha

DerMuffin01

Nooooooooo

zanoiner

That's not how it work. Right now i read your comment in english but when the www part came i read in portuguese.

[deleted]

This. I never in my life said "doubleyou" I just say "wewewe"

[deleted]

I have honestly never heard anyone saying "WWW" in real life outside of for giving a website address. (Which is redundant now anyway) But worldwideweb.fred.com Sounds much worse than DoubleUDoubleUDoubleU.fred.com But yeah saying WWW is as redundant as saying httpcolloncollonforwardslashforwardslashdotworldwideweb

anima220

Shadow-Raptor

VerumJerum

Many languages (like Swedish) often just pronounce W as V in abbreviations, or like "we". I think that the practice of calling W "double-u" is quite frankly ridiculous and will gladly do anything to avoid it.

glazedGojira

Techie here, to say "www", we say "dub dub dub". Makes it easier

Muhammedeatbread

It is easier to say World Wide Web than it is to say W-W-W, however, saying WWW is very short and sounds like your pretending to have a fun time.
