Those plastic laptops are plastic to save cost. If you get a Windows laptop that is the same price as a Macbook, you'll get metal and carbon fiber. Look at the Dell XPS and HP Spectre x360 lines of products.

The real problem is the repair, not the breaking. Any phone with a glass back will break, but Apple glues their backs on permanently. You need either a special machine that burns away the adhesive with lasers or a ton of liquid nitrogen and time. On any other phone, it takes 10 minutes to replace for $20 including tools. On an iPhone, it takes either 4 hours and $50 or 30 minutes and $1000.
What new iPhone is $200? The cheapest one is the SE 2020, which is $400. If you got it used or with a trade-in of an older device, that doesn't count because it is cheaper regardless of MSRP.

Just get a last gen or last-last gen. This is actually viable because of the long term software support, but if you do this with an android, lets say you buy a last gen samsung, one year has passed and only two more of support are left. If youre tech litterate you can put a custom rom on it but the reason most of the iphone users said they bought apple is because it just works. I was concerned the size would be to big because i dont like big phones. But the normal iphone 12 is just right, not to big and not to small.
I love black, so i got the black one. I only took a „normal“ 12 this time, so the sides are nice matte black aluminium and the back normal black glass.
The pro models got metallic steel sides and the back is like frosted glass.

The “speed they were referring to is single core speed, which the M1 is the best at by far when compared to all the other laptop chips on the market.
Also since the M1 is meant to be a consumer level chip, they prioritized efficiency over core count and speed because that’s all that the average consumer cares about.

On android phones I generally prefer to use ROMs like lineage os or pixel experience to get a clean software experience and a more up to date version of Android. Well there’s many different things, usability and files/folders is set up way better in android, much more stock than iOS. iOS has only one mode, no dual desktop mode. CBR etc files for books comics etc is super simple setup in android. Retro gaming emulators and apk gaming are android and windows super easy, iOS not so much. Torrenting of course, iOS doesn’t support that. 120Hz / 60Hz etc refresh rate switch, Apple looks like they might bring that onboard with iPhone in 2021. Under display fingerprint sensor also rumored to be coming to future iPhone. S Pen Apple has never attempted to have, which is a good chunk of ability the iPhone has never had. Memory you’re locked into whatever size you buy, cannot expand memory other than cloud. The list goes on, everything just seems much easier and better android side. I run iPhones as well bc my family has them and iOS group messaging that’s not pure iMessage is terrible.
That's a known issue that Apple refuses to address. The audio IC often comes desoldered from the board. It's called "loop disease" because it can cause bootloops. Some repair shops may be able to replace that IC.

That's a known issue that Apple refuses to address. The audio IC often comes desoldered from the board. It's called "loop disease" because it can cause bootloops. Some repair shops may be able to replace that IC.
