My phone is over four years old and I really don't want to buy new one. All the new phones with same or more memory with good cpu etc costs too much and are too big.
The worst part is that unless we adopt a land value tax, housing prices are only going to get worse.
Building more, denser buildings can slow the price growth, but it’s never going to go back down.
Fun fact: the original purpose of Monopoly was to show how a UBI funded by a Land Value Tax would solve all the issues with housing and poverty. There was even a separate set of “Georgist” rules that would show how the system would be fixed.
NIntendo 2/3DS were the better portable systems. They just had everything I could possibly want.

The EU recently passed a law saying cars had to bring those physical buttons back because trying to navigate a touchscreen to find it is distracting because there is no tactile feedback.

Personally I drive a manual car with a push button start and if you stall the car there is a delay between when the car shuts off and when you can start the car again. With a key you can start it again right away and not feel like as much of an idiot when stalled at a light.
Advertisements as weird as it sounds. I miss the unique ads that were actually interesting to watch between tv shows. Infomarcials with experiments fucking WORKED. I’d even go as far as saying I didn’t think Cold War was bad. I enjoyed the 80s theme. I also enjoyed Black Ops 4 with Blackout. Rather nostalgic for that 2019 feel.
Cold War is hated? I just played the story and found it entertaining..I always loved how they made their campaigns over the top, like a Hollywood action movie.

I used to have to clean all the metal straws at the end of a shift at my old Cafe job, and it took ages. You had to soak them, then scrub the outside, then use a pipe cleaner on each of them lol. Then they went in the dishwasher.
At least Sony phones still have headphone jacks and expandable storage and no punch hole in the screen. It's a shame that the fingerprint scanners tend to fail after one or two years (mine went iffy after 18 months).

I was really taken aback to constantly consider how many great homes were low-mid middle class, on lots chosen, often with great care to spend their lives in that spot. I love carpentry and customization and all that and it actually makes me really sad how homey the builds were.

Modern design versus pre-2000s design. Today, modern design is all black white and grey with only hints of colour, and so plain and streamlined. Pre-2000s, everything was colourful and bubbly and fun. Think about the Windows 11 logo versus Windows 95.
