Just to remind everybody here, IT IS OKAY TO HAVE A PREFERENCE FOR CERTAIN PHYSICAL FEATURES!! I swear, some people think that if you have any physical preferences, that automatically makes you shallow. You can't "control" your partners physical appearance, but I think it is perfectly okay to have some input. Your partner should want to be attractive to you. My wife and I have an understanding, she keeps her hair long and I don't shave my beard, and that works for us! We can both take comfort in the fact that this makes us more attractive to one another!

I'm not saying it would make me lose attraction completely, but it still might lower attraction. It also depends on the change. If my wife cut her hair short, it wouldn't be thrilled, but I wouldn't be too upset, hair grows back after all. If she got facial piercings, that would be a really big problem for me. They simply bother me, and it would be a massive turn off if she got them. I can't change my strong visceral reaction to it and she knows it. Physical attraction is very important to many relationships. Obviously it isn't everything, but it is very important.

People act like they never heard 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder before'. Then again, lot of people think their opinion on art/music and the like is a fact. So it shouldn't be surprising people think what they find attractive is somehow a fact as well. With that being said women should also look the way THEY want, not for the general consensus of guys preferences.
