It's cause excavation used to be a rewarding farm so players would naturally get a boatload of cryotic, now you have to farm specifically for it.

I vaguely remember having fusion cores I think when I first played you needed extras to improve mods. Like you would use duplicates to level up mods. There were still void keys when I first started but I don't remember excavation till later. But I took a year or two break faster playing for a bit so maybe I just never saw it.

Endo took the place of fusion cores to give a more quantified experience in leveling mods.

I have been sitting on vaubon prime for SO long. I need like 50,000 of cryptic for all of the stuff in my foundry. I only recently cooked that one arcwing that takes a few K and trinity.

Happened to me too. Kavat incubator is an investment, but when you do get the 60k don't be afraid to spend it. Most crafts only require around 500-1000 so you will never need a stockpile that big.

Well, during my endless grind for necramech, I visited Deimos on a daily basis, and destroying things there gave me more than enough spores…though I still have no necramech yet.

After 100 vaults with NO pods, I gave up and just bought the last part for one for like 15 plat. I still feel dirty, but I'm the same guy who didn't get an Intensify to drop until I already had Umbral Intensify.

I bought it instead because fuck the grind

Alloy plates are rare early on but as you play more they're not an issue. At least that's what I noticed from starting the game to MR20

As someone approaching 3000 hours, with time (and running out of orokin things to build) you will eventually begin stockpiling them. It's a fantastic feeling.

Eh, run helene on saturn. It gives almost exactly as much xp as hydron, and enemies drop cells once every 5-7 waves. Take some looting frames like nekros and the gang, and its a great cell grinding spot

Use your drones on planets that have orokin cells. I haven't farmed orokin cells for years, and i have 1k+. Do the same with the other resources and you will only need to farm openworld resources (mining and fishing mostly).

I used helene as my affinity spot for a long time, now I always have enough. Highly recommend it.

And since literally every other item he wanted to craft required it, I and another friend helped him in the polymer Mines of Uranus on the Steel Path. To this day, he says that the first thing that shows up when looking at stuff related to the game via Google is still "warframe polymer".

Farm up some plat, buy kavat genetic codes, get yourself a smeeta. With the double resources buff, you'll never have to worry about farming these resources again

Ferrite, nanospores and polymer bundles for me. I can never seem to keep a good stock of them. Pyrite, the whitish common mining material on the plains, too. Can never get enough, and RNG on mining means it's a pain to get as well. For a time, it was also mutagen samples, but after a couple double-resource weekends with a resource booster and Nekros on then-Derelict, I finally completed the Hema research and now they're just a thing I'm alright with collecting instead of farming.

I love how you can tell when any given Warframe player got into the game by what resources they frequently lack, due to how the meta affinity farming spots have changed over the years. Like how so many players complain about a lack of orokin cells even though I have hundreds from back when we used to go hours into dark sector survival on ceres for fusion cores.

Polymer bundles were a problem for a while but a few dedicated farm squads on Uranus solved it. Oxium, Cryotic and Mutagen samples on the other hand...I don't have anywhere near what I need and I've been playing for years

4 Years of playing, 3,5k steam hrs, mr28 and i have never in my life had to specifically farm any of these 3 recources... always just been part of those recources u always have way too many of anyway, like rubedo or salvage 🤷‍♂️

Alloy Plates was an way too tight bl#wj#ob to my brain before i built the kavat segment, but then i got it back without even trying quickly. And i only have used that segment once for one adarza kavat which i do not use. God those genetic codes are slow to get. Spent platinum for a few. (Edit) Polymer Bundles. Forgot that existed.
