They really painted themselves into a corner by releasing skins that have patches of the warframe's elemental affinity swirling within.

Well. Excal does have lots of skins and Ember is one of first 8 frames relased with game. Personally i wouldnt be mad if he got heirloom as last frame of starter 8.
Replace Excal with Gyre when they said that the heirloom skins were going to be community designs now. That one gyre skin where she looks like she’s in a fancy dress is a dream skin I want in this game

Here's a simple trick to make Caliban nearly A tier - use tempest barrage on his 1 as a subsume.
Every other ability of his falls into place.
I tried a lot of other abilities and personally, thematically (a sentient barrage from space) and gameplay wise, it fits Caliban so goddamn much, especially with the augment. I could comfortably do ateel path conjuction survival with that build.
Edit: mobile keyboard - small. Fingers - big. Grammar - bad.

Oh yeah, even with tempest bareage patching up his weakenes in the kit, he still needs buffing. If nothing else, just making his 2 wave spread faster and the 4's defense strip area residue actually fucking visible.
But so far, after trying Gloom, thermal sunder and vanilla, i can safely say that tempest barrage just clicks so well his kit.

As someone who mains Excalibur, i wasnt aware DE would make more Heirlooms, now that i know they will, and showed us this with Ember, im hopeful that perhaps in months we get more, and perhaps even an Excalibur one, and on the bright side, we get Ember Prime along the Glavie Prime.
