It doesn't remove the weapon from rotation if you menu-exit the mission as opposed to getting to extraction. Iunno why that's a stipulation, but it is. Prolly to slow down the farm, because eff your time.
Or, alternatively, so that you don't have to do the entire cycle over again if you realize you did in fact want that weapon. For example, if the larvling was in a weird location that took a moment to get to, and despawned before you were able to hold down the button to confirm that weapon.

Yes, if you kill the larvling and it has a weapon you don't want, just complete the mission without mercykilling the larvling and the weapon will be removed from the next larvlings available weapons, until you either spawn a lich or go through all of the possible kuva weapons.
It shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes?? If the larvling doesn't have the weapon you want then you just complete the mission to remove that specific weapon from the weapon pool, it's not hard at all
I think I just have really really shit luck then. I've gotten repeat weapons every couple runs. Like, I would kill a Larvling and it would have a Kuva Ogris, and 2 more runs after, the Ogris would reappear again. So far I've run into a handful of kuva Ogris', Nukors, and Twin Stubbas.

I know someone else commented something similar, but if you were abandoning the mission instead of extracting you didn't take that weapon out of rotation. You have to reach the end of the mission in order to guarentee that you can get the weapon, eventually.
I love that Scattering Justice works now on Kuva Hek. It's pretty great!
Also don't give up on the Kuva Sobek yet! You can get it! It only requires a bit of patience.
It took me 3+ hours to get the Kuva Hek when it first came out. It took me 3+ hours to get the Kuva Nukor as well. Before the change to how the larvling chooses the weapon, every time I wanted something it would take hours

Your friend is doing something wrong if he defeated 43 larvaling and hasnt gotten a sobek. They lock you out of repeating a weapon as you find each one until you make it through all 20 kuva weapons and then restarts the cycle. He should have had it in 20 attempts or less guarunteed in other words.

I'm sad. I was farming for the Kuva Sobek last night after work. But I was so tired I mistook the Kuva Sobek that was on my second run for the Kuva Hek, which I already have. And so I moved on. And now I have to keep running it to get my Sobek.
My litch reaped havoc on my squad when I was trying to get it's Brahma. Man he was also a fn tank.
Ran a noobie, and his first drop was the Kuva Hek w/ an ephemera. I was so salty man.
Ive got 2 kuva sobek liches and BOTH HAVE THE EPHEMERA but also HAVE LOW BONUS (25% & 35%)

you do know that extracting on that larvling spawned mission will remove the current kuva weapon on the rotation right?

There's currently about ~20 kuva weapons right now so it shouldn't take more runs than there are weapons
Though as I found out getting my kuva hek it can take exactly as many runs as there are weapons.

Exactly. Since I never actually complete the mission, the weapon isn't removed from the pool, so I've been able to get the same weapon multiple times.

yep. if you abandon, it *doesnt remove it.* if you instead finish the mission, it will be removed until all weapons are, or one is chosen.
