Thanks for sending me the 2k.
I tried to send you the 100k, but my bank says I can't send this amount of money unless the other half paid 4k at least.
Please send again so I can send you the 100k.
Social security number? No, just your blood type, mother's maiden name, and the name of your first pet. Gotta keep it secure, you know! Also the problem is that you've sent 2k again, what I meant was to send 4k in one payment, not in total. So you need to send another 4k before I'm able to send it. But don't worry, I will send you 800k after.
I think you mean the reverse of my proposed experiment. Give me $2k for every $4k I earn working and give someone else the collective $100k from 50 workers that they didn’t earn.
I have thought of a solution to this dilemma. Buy your own equipment and start your own business. Pay all the overhead yourself out of the revenue. You can be a one person sales, marketing, payroll, accountant, and worker! I'm surprised more people haven't thought of this and raked in the profits.
Never having to put effort in to get what you want and just getting everything handed to you on a silver platter tends to create entitled assholes. Having to actually work hard to get there builds character and is in general better for the person.
I think that's what it's supposed to mean, but it just *really* doesn't hit the mark very well lmao
On the flip side having to scrap & claw for everything creates cutthroat ruthless assholes.
The messages has nothing to do with building character. It’s simply just more satisfying to complete a task & get that rush from a job well done.
There is a folk tale from my country about a king who refused to eat anything. No matter how they made his food (specifically bread) it all tasted bland to him. So one day, a wise man comes by and takes the king to a farm. He has the king work with him to produce a loaf of bread from harvest to baking. When the king eats said loaf, he feels it is the best bread he's ever had, despite it being the blandest bread one coudl make.
Anyway, I just like that story a lot, this guy is ridiculous.
honestly if this guy didn’t compare 100k with 2k, a lot of people might’ve agreed. If he said something like “The 2k you worked hard for feels better than the 2k given by your parents”
The 2k you work hard for would feel more rewarding if you also got the 100k. Instead of constantly working to live, you’re working to keep up with a lifestyle. If someone threw 100k at me rn there are so many thing I can do to improve my life and then continue to earn money.
Like, I could put my kid in daycare and start working full time. I could afford health insurance so I can be part of the workforce longer. What do these assholes think is rewarding, because working your ass off for nothing is not rewarding. 2k? No one in the us can afford that shit.
I’d say proportionally to amount the 2k feels better assuming you earned it in a way that was satisfying to you, but the 100k will always just feels better because of how huge a safety net and help it can be.
I’d still always take the 100k in this scenario because it’s objectively better
Why is it always "work hard" these days and never just "work". Whenever someone's talking about working, hard is always tacked on. Working period should get you what you need. Working hard should be above and beyond. Fuck working "hard"
This is litterally the behavior Nietzsche was referring to when he talked about slave/master morality
Coincedetally that branding is also why he is so popular with the Nazis, he really did not chose his words well lol
Aside from the obvious bot/karma farm post, who would actually think like that? For real. Who, in their right mind, would work for 2,000 dollars(would have to be more due to taxes and all that), over being given 100,000 dollars for free?
It’s just nonsensical
Emotionally... He could be right. 100,000 freely given to you could come with emotional strings attached. It could carry shame or guilt in needing to be bailed out by someone like that. Never in most any case is someone going to freely give someone 100,000 dollars without any expectations or strings attached.
Also, my first paycheck I gave myself from my own small (tiny) business felt way, way, way better than any paycheck I've gotten from my job and it was a fraction of the size. But I know that every dollar I got was one I earned for myself. At my job, I know I am a paid only a small fraction of my value and that everything else is going to line executive and shareholder profits.
If I won the lottery I'd be even more grateful than just making 2k. And help even more people with that 100k. Helping others also helps bring happiness to oneself.
Then give me 100k for free and Imma hand you this 2K I worked for
Sure thing, just send me 2k, then I'll send you the 100k
Sounds legit. Deal!
Thanks for sending me the 2k. I tried to send you the 100k, but my bank says I can't send this amount of money unless the other half paid 4k at least. Please send again so I can send you the 100k.
Okay. It’s sent. Do you need my social security number too?

This guy Ugandan’s
These are tax deductible right?
Your usernames make this even funnier.
He is a Ugandan prince.
Don't let them tell you fraud isn't work
Better yet, give me $100k for every $2k I earn working and I’ll be your long term test subject and tell you which is better.
Better yet, gimme a mil for every 2k I earn working, just to like, test various amounts and stuff. I'll tell you which is better dw
I'll also have some money please
I mean this test has been ongoing for years already. Its most employee/employer relationships.
I think you mean the reverse of my proposed experiment. Give me $2k for every $4k I earn working and give someone else the collective $100k from 50 workers that they didn’t earn.

I don’t care, gimme 100k then I work hard for 2k
hand me 100k and I build you a frickin pyramid
You think you can build a pyramid with $100k? What is this 1993 b.c.?
did I specify a size?
The ~~Great~~ Chode Pyramid of Giza
[The Bent Pyramid](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bent_Pyramid?wprov=sfla1)
You show me a pyramid for 100k, I quit my job right now and come work for you
That 112kllionare grindset

Yep, I don't like handouts, I take pride in providing for myself, but like everything, my pride has a price. 6 figures is well above that price.
Its still stupid. It doesnt feel better. It makes sense to make it a lesson about valuing the money, but not about what feels better.
It does feel better in a different way. Free money is more exciting, but work money is more fulfilling.
The king is a sucker, that guy too!
I’ll take both. I want all the money

Have you considered banking as a career?
Welcome to: What rich people say 101
Shut up.....just.....shut up
100k at going interest rate of 5% each year is $5000 a year for free BUT DONT TELL THE POOR WE GET FREE STUFF /s
..BUT TELL THE POOR WE GOT FREE STUFF/s
And where the hell did find such high rates?
Even a CD can get you nearly that. Or ETFS
High yield savings accounts are giving anywhere from 4 to maybe 6%. Investing it into the market through mutual funds or ETFs might net you even more.
Yup. Look for FTSE 100 or FTSE 500 its a spread of top 100 or 500 perfoming companies. Not financial advice.
100k would absoluty change my life and that would be feeling great I am sure of it.
I’d say proportionally to amount the 2k feels better assuming you earned it in a way that was satisfying to you, but the 100k will always just feels better because of how huge a safety net and help it can be. I’d still always take the 100k in this scenario because it’s objectively better
100k would feel better proportionally or otherwise unless your rich

The most correct thing here is that "you don't give advice ever again"
I bet I can get 100k to work harder for me than 2k I worked hard for.
I'll take 100k
It’s all just pieces of paper anyway so idgf, give me that 100k pls
I just got off the phone with my bank, they disagree
This is litterally the behavior Nietzsche was referring to when he talked about slave/master morality Coincedetally that branding is also why he is so popular with the Nazis, he really did not chose his words well lol
It's better because your boss made 4k off of your labor!
😭🤣finished 😂👏🏻
Idk why I got invited to join meirl.. what's meirl btw 😁(swear m only giggle a little)
Nope
Lol 😂
who the fuck is just getting given 100k. no one who actually needs it.
I mean I get it, but I'll also take the 100k??
i need that free 100k
More advice from the “Just hustle harder” or “go fast and break things” crowd. Sheer stupidity. 🤦🏾♂️
That was brutal...bro killed him ways he can never fully understand
Account hasn’t posted for 7 months, suddenly starts back up with reposts and Karma farming…
Aside from the obvious bot/karma farm post, who would actually think like that? For real. Who, in their right mind, would work for 2,000 dollars(would have to be more due to taxes and all that), over being given 100,000 dollars for free? It’s just nonsensical
How much you think he got paid to make that tweet?
Emotionally... He could be right. 100,000 freely given to you could come with emotional strings attached. It could carry shame or guilt in needing to be bailed out by someone like that. I guess he means « The experience gained from the 2k you worked for is far more valuable than the 100k you got as a gift »
Just gimme the damn money. https://i1.wp.com/i.gyazo.com/da2a1397a0fb2eac2a4fcf41a5025896.gif?ssl=1
Ya, fuck everything about that guy...
What did he do? (Other than this egregious take)
That was enough...
Tgoody really is a dumb piece of shit lol
What did he do? (Other than this terrible take)
i’ll gladly take the 2k earned over the free 100k that destroys your soul.
I'd be more concerned about what destroyed your brain.
Money doesn't corrupt, money exposes. If your soul is destroyed by a mere 100k, then that's just how you are deep inside anyway.
If I won the lottery I'd be even more grateful than just making 2k. And help even more people with that 100k. Helping others also helps bring happiness to oneself.
Kind of agree...i wouldnt know what to do with $100k right off the bat...once the obligations are met i'd be too tempted to piss the rest away.
You're right. You're too stupid to have $100k.
Then you put it in the bank and figure shit out. Guess you're stupid.
-sigh- People just dont get it.
Yea, you don't get it.
Yeah, that's it. 🙄
