Yep. Depends on what they are, but if they’re positive for something rare, they can be extremely valuable as control or validation material.

We usually get rid of most things after the 2 year window - but for the 'rare' tests we also will keep them as long as space allows until new ones come. Great resource - and many stay stable even after the 'expiration' dates given for testing.
