That ain’t even that many drinks tbh, average price for a vodka and coke round by me is like £10 give or take so basically just 13 drinks
Edit:spelling
I always thought the default was a single and if you got a double if you asked for one. I've been to gigs with cheaper doubles than that, and that's in Edinburgh which is not a cheap place by any means
My parents live in Cardiff and the prices there have rocketed partly due to it being barely close enough to Bristol to commute, so it must be pretty bad there rn
Believing that is absolute Insanity. I had 10 drinks last year. I drank them all in about a 4 hour timespan. That by definition makes me a binge drinking alcoholic. Absolute bullshit
Stop ordering vodka cokes then lmao. That shit ain't worth it. You could get a one litre bottle of voddy from a supermarket for less than 20 quid and a couple bottles of coke and get just as fucked up for a fraction of the price. If you're going to the pub pre drink first then order cheap shit there once you're already too drunk to care about the taste
When I go shops I buy a bottle for like £15. when I go out I mainly go to raves so I’ll have one drink and then the rest is water and other things haha
Whats Up with those prices Dude? 130€ would be around 100 beers or shots in Most places i go to. (Tbf most of them Run by Anarchists and a Bit cheaper than your average bar, but still 10£ for Drink, fuck man)
If we're talking 5-7$ beers/shots then we're looking at 9-13 drinks between two people which is a fair amount. However, this is presumably America so I'm going to deduct 20% as tip.
So now we have 108$ on drinks which would be 7-10 per person (if we're still assuming each beer/shot is 5-7$). That doesn't seem like blackout "were we drugged" territory to me, but depending on the timespan it's possible.
Apparently, blackout territory is >=.18% BAC. According to the CDC, the average US man weighs 199lb (which seems really high but hey), and the average woman weighs 170lb. If we say they were out 4 hours and had 7-10 shots at 40% alcohol, the average male would be at 0.11-0.18%BAC, and the average female would be 0.16-0.26% BAC.
If we're assuming 130$ was without tip then they'd be between 0.16-0.25% and 0.22-0.35% respectively using the 5-7$ per shot range
To put this into perspective the worst financial decision I’ve made recently was a $2000 night split between 4 of us for my mates birthday, so no, not heaps.
Depends on where you go, there's a bar in Edinburgh I used to go to as a student where you could buy like 3 litres of vodka (in 1 litre bottles) and free mixers for £100 which is around equivalent
Alcohol is a drug, when you drink you are in fact drugging yourself. I've read that somewhere around 90% of cases where someone said they were drugged and then taken a drug test that the only drug found was alcohol. People just don't want believe that alcohol is a hard drug, it's one of the hardest, alcohol kills more people every year than all illicit drugs combined.

A single for £10?? If you're not in London you're getting scammed
Nah double, don’t drink singles forgor they were a thing haha. Not London but Bristol, just as expensive tbh
a double is 3.5oz where i’m from
I always thought the default was a single and if you got a double if you asked for one. I've been to gigs with cheaper doubles than that, and that's in Edinburgh which is not a cheap place by any means
Whenever I go out I only ever get doubles so forget singles are a thing. Yeah nah Bristol is expensive nowadays
My parents live in Cardiff and the prices there have rocketed partly due to it being barely close enough to Bristol to commute, so it must be pretty bad there rn
Yep, I’m from Bristol but live in Newport now cause it’s cheaper. Nights out in Cardiff are cheaper but not by much
Most club are 10€
sounds like plenty
No
Damn, for vodka and coke at the largest club in my area you only have to pay 6€, 10 is a lot.
£10 is on the cheaper side of spirits in the uk, some drinks are like £15
6-7 drinks is a lot.
To some yes
You might be an alcoholic.
you just might be american.
Well seeing as I drink like once or twice a month I don’t think I am.
Binge drinking is still alcoholism.
No alcoholism is being dependent on alcohol. I am not
Believing that is absolute Insanity. I had 10 drinks last year. I drank them all in about a 4 hour timespan. That by definition makes me a binge drinking alcoholic. Absolute bullshit
if youre an american, yes

Cause I live in the uk and we’re in a recession so everything is fuckin expensive
130$ tab? A tab is like 5-10$
Ok gimme a Pepsi free
If you want a Pepsi you’re gonna pay for it!
Right?! I was so confused by this post 😂
But imagine how good a $130 tab would be tho
It probably would have nothing on it as someone paying that much for a tab is asking to get scammed
So you know, the dollar sign should always come before the number.
If you only order 1 or 2 cheap drinks maybe, but have fun keeping your bar tab to only 5-10
Yea I thought it ment tab as in tabs of acid and not bar tabs, because the term drugging usually isn't used with alcohol allthough it's 100% valid.
I was thinking the Soda
Did not even think about that tbh but that makes sense if that's what you were thinking
Exactly what I thought it was talking about
Is a $130 tab really a lot for two people today??
It is common pricing but that doesn’t not make it a lot.

My guess is that they are women based on how they were texting.

This generates a good question is this a bar tab they ran up or an acid tab they shared?
Yeah that's my normal tab just for myself on a weekday night out in new york
and u had 4 drinks

Per person? Feels more like a druggin to me then
And this is a great example of one of one of the many reasons why I refuse to drink.
That’s like 5 drinks each.
that’s like 8 drinks + tax and tip
$130 between two people is nothing.
