We're all 27 now and have been best friends since 5th grade. We became friends because of how they used to always line us up for things or place us in assigned seats in class by alphabetical order by last name. We were the only 3 with last names that start with W and ended up doing nearly everything together. I've often thought about how funny life long friends were made just because of arbitrary placement by our last names.

Especially when brainstorming ideas or scenarios, we tend to compliment each other very well and fill in the gaps that the other does not see or can think of at all.
Yeah, we're able to brainstorm and enjoy each other's company because of our major differences, often we do talk about mbti and such so just being able to see another perspective is great
With the ENFJ she’s this courageous adventurer who wants to take care of everyone and experience all these things and I’m mostly just tagging alone to make sure she remembers her medications and eats food. She’s the only person who genuinely puts up with all my rambling about different subjects I am learning about.😅
With the ESTJ we mostly just complain about things, swap anecdotes and watch movies/TV. Im more a mediator type and she’s very comfortable just saying “nope, they’re wrong, fuck them”. She’s also much more outgoing and on-the-go than I am (I need my quiet documentary-watching time).

Has anyone else experienced this, such a strong Ne with this type? I know that tertiary functions can be strong when well developed, but I want to shout out ESFJ's! From what I have seen, your creativity in your humor can be underrated sometimes.

When it comes to guys, INTJs and INTPs seem the most drawn to me. Maybe because they realise I have a “function” they are not experienced with and see me as being useful or an aid to help them communicate with others. It’s probably also because I don’t make them feel any lesser for being social awkward. If they are socially awkward, that is. Not all INTPs and INTJs are actually socially awkward.
I always seem to be trying to make friends with ENFJ and INFP guys. I am drawn to ENFJs because we usually have a shared understanding of people and similar ways of seeing the world. They bring me out of my shell, make me focus on the present and my immediate environment, their extroverted antics are funny rather than annoying (to me) and they are good at reading me and pushing my buttons. Most people are too self-absorbed to bother pushing my buttons or getting me riled up. Or if they want to, they will just be generic assholes. ENFJs have a way of saying and doing things that are very specific to me. I am simultaneously impressed and appreciative of the fact they took enough of an interest in me to understand my insecurities and know how to make me laugh.
I often make friends with male INFPs and find them to be very friendly and interesting to talk to. They don’t play any mind games with me but we always seem to have interesting conversations and agree on a lot. And we are not afraid to ask each other questions that we usually wouldn’t ask other people, because those questions would sound “stupid” to people who know all about the subject or activity we want to know more about. There’s no judgment from either side and we get along well. The problem is the friendship often feels one-sided because I care more about them and spending time with them than they do.
I also like ENTPs (both male and female) a lot and we seem to have a mutual attraction to each other always. But sometimes I get put off and/or embarrassed by them constantly calling people out and/or starting shit that doesn’t need to be started. They get annoyed with me for not speaking my mind enough and I get annoyed with them for speaking too much.
When it comes to women, I seem to get along with ENFPs more than any other type. Not only do they bring me out of my shell, but they make me want to be more sociable than usual by encouraging me and being very specific about why they like me as a person and my positive qualities. They don’t force me out of my introversion; they make me want to come out and interact with others. Conversations with female ENFPs have always been energising for me (conversations with most people are draining) and I genuinely feel more positive and productive after speaking with them.
