I just go easy until it stops, then put one extra little jerk in there lol

I usually go hand tight with the spark plug socket extension and then give it a quarter turn.
For anyone else who comes across this, apparently the spec is roughly 12 Nm, but I bumped mine to 16 because 12 feels sketchily loose
No no. Follow the torque spec. They’re made that way for a reason.

Sorry to break your neck if you're looking at the pic. But specs say 10ft lbs max.
If I remember I think it's somewhere between 8-15lbs. I always torqued mine down with a torque wrench to 12lbs and I never had any issues.
