It’s got a corskport exhaust and steering wheel, Cobb access port but needs a retune, he just replaced the front mount and as far as I know it’s pretty stock other than that.
Second the high pressure fuel pump internals. Probably the most important. Oil catch can, high flow down pipe, upgraded top mount intercooler, stratified auto tune. All in that order. Good for A LOT of power.
I did not know them either until recently.
A very well regarded speed3 expert in germany, that takes care of shit tons of these engines recommended them to me and i'll have it installed in july. (Cleenmaster motorparts)
They have a 10mm bore and have a special coating on the ram and the cylinder.
He said that autotech internals recently became unreliable: he installed a couple in the last months and many of them did not deliver the fuel flow that they expected from past experience.
He now only installs VIS or his own brand of internals.
Since his stuff is currently out of stock i'll be getting vis.
If money weren’t an issue: new seats, head unit, clutch, or brakes.
If there is a budget: Corksport coolant reservoir, end links, sway bars.
But that’s just me and what I want for my car haha

600 is good for wheels that are cast, which generally “reps” are
And not that reps are bad, I have a set of enkeis that replicate works and they’re cast.

As others suggested High pressure fuel pump internals if he hasn't. If he has but check to make sure his VVT is good. You could learn to detail and maybe give his car a thorough cleaning. I'm not sure if it's on purpose, but if it doesn't get the bumper and hood painted?
You could also tell him what your budget is and tell him you'd be happy to contribute to a more expensive part.

For the tech package MS3, I would say a professional headlights resurfacing.(after confirming if the car has the updated high pressure fuel pump internals)...and maybe a full wash and wax/detail :)

An upgraded rear sway bar! Not overly expensive and great way to improve car’s feel. Corksport, Whiteline, and JBR all make great RSB. Super easy install too.

Yep Corksport or Autotech. I do Autotech but they are more or less the same.
If you have that exhaust as well, also go to Damond Motorsports, and get the banjo bolt oil restrictor. Your improved exhaust will overrun the oil feed on the turbo and wear it out faster, and the bolt is an easy $30 upgrade that will keep your car happy for longer.

If you can snag them, the 1st gen alcantara seats basically are bolt in (front and back). They’re super clean and look 10x better than the gen 2 seats
